Just looking at summer clothes is enough to make me want to work out. I will be skinny…I will be perfect.
What in the actual fuck? THIS? This right here is a problem. The author equates Being Skinny with Being Perfect?
As if "perfection" were somehow attainable. As if your innate value as a human being was somehow inversely proportional to your body fat percentage. As if the contents of your brain and the love in your heart had no value at all.
To the author, you should be ashamed of yourself. Setting impossible standards is not cute or #justgirlythings. It's destructive. I'm not sure where it went off the rails for you, because I'd like to believe that at one point you thought you were doing good. Please, I assure you, you do not need to be skinny to be happy.
To the young women reading and "liking" this tripe, try hard to think for a second what it would be like to just be yourself.
If you're skinny or fat or whatever, that's okay. As long as you're healthy and happy.
At what point, when playing (or running) a game, do you get sick of goofy/immature behavior? A few examples:
Over-the-top accents that can’t be taken seriously (and it’s clear it’s done on purpose) no matter how hard you try.
The character who does nothing but drink/do...
I recently quit my long-term roleplaying group over exactly this sort of behavior.
I had asked the GMs (we take turns) to please help curb this kind of behavior and instead they start rewarding with "action points" the guy (PC) who spits in my character's face because they thought it was being "in character".
I couldn't deal, so instead if trying to move the mountain, I just moved me. I haven't found a new steady group yet, but I am happier that I don't have to deal with that type of nonsense anymore.
