Dreams of Older Gods/Spirits
Had dream that connected to a haunted house dream I had last month. To keep brief on the haunted house, a powerful dark spirit (not a demon or devil) kept keep over the wing of a mansion, keeping intruders and owners out. It could manifest your darkest fears to keep you out (dolls, ghosts, monsters, hands out of the wall) and could cause physical harm.
This time, I was in the dark ages. I was in this village where they kept animals for market. In this small section behind the joust stand was a covered and abandoned pen that you had to crouch down to crawl into because the roof of the pen fell in. When you looked into the pen, you felt something dark, angry, and sinister, older than humans and as old as the earth. I went into investigate and as I moved to one corner, those emotions became stronger. Fear and dread growing. Have you ever looked in a dark corner and thought something was there but there wasn't? With this, your instincts are screaming that there is. I asked if there was anyone there. Those emotions spiked, and a sinister whisper, like the blowing of wind and responded with "Leave, you are not welcomed here..." I was in awe and terror, I couldn't run. This wasn't a ghost or demon, it was something more. For some reason, I wanted to ask about the haunted house and if they were connected, bypassing time like most dreams can. "Are you and the spirit in the haunted house the same?" I asked. With the dark whisper but with a mournful tone, it said, "No she is worse...". A nun crawled in over to the corner, dressed in blue and white, but with a Crow coming out of her mouth. It was not the corner spirit's, it was hers. I ran out.
Fast forward to the future, there is another spirit same type but in a apartment unit.
Are there spirits that have been here as long as us? Who have seen time slowly drip by luck a slow leak? Are they fallen gods? Or are they a different entity that has consciousness and connection with the other dark ones that reside in corners?
