StepParent Observations

We need to put a stop to this. It’s so wrong on so many levels. We want a better world for our children let’s start with fixing ourselves so they can replicate better morals and behavior! The change starts with us the adults!

As adults we are faced with many challenges in life. A huge one is parenting a child that you didn’t birth but love dearly. It can be extremely hard because while your trying your best to be there for them and help guide them and instill some of your morals into them their other parent is there bashing you and painting them a picture of a person you don’t even know. That to me is a hard bullet to swallow. I’ll never understand why parents think it’s ok or appropriate to teach their children hatred and malicious behavior. In the end the only people they are hurting is their own children. Step parenting is a job full of so much un thank yous’. It will make you question yourself daily what can I do different or how can I approach the situation differently. The answer is simple. You can’t! This job can be unrewarding at times and sometimes it becomes more of a task then a want. But you love your partner and want to put in all your efforts because you know that 2 wrongs will never make a right so no matter how hard the ex makes it for you, you have to keep pushing. One day the children will acknowledge everything you did when you didn’t have to. Until then always remember slow and steady wins the race. What is in the dark must come to light. The lord will forever shine his lights at the right moment. Also remember god doesn’t like ugly and if your an ugly person on the inside one day you will have to pay for those sins. (FYI I do not mean to offend anyone. We all have our beliefs and this just happens to be mine! Be nice 🙂)
