Stephen M. Timms worked early in his career as a senior engineering specialist for Hughes Aircraft Company and led development of computer simulations for the evaluation of communication, sensor, and missile systems. Following Raytheon’s acquisition of Hughes in 1997, he served as an international business development manager for Raytheon Missile Systems. In charge of developing sales growth and client relations for the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and South America, Stephen M. Timms directed marketing strategies for the Land Combat product line that generated multi-million dollar annual revenues. Currently, Mr. Timms serves as vice president of Strategic Programs for the military supply company International Golden Group (IGG) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He oversees IGG’s strategic initiatives to grow its advanced technology programs, including building international business partnerships and securing contracts for military projects. With more than 20 years of experience in global sales and project management for military equipment programs, Stephen M. Timms has handled relations with primary suppliers in the US and Europe, supervised cost-effective field operations, and built business networks across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. Prior to joining IGG, he negotiated an $11 million contract with a GCC client for an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance system for drone aircraft. Before beginning his career, Mr. Timms earned a bachelor BS in electrical engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Later, he attended California State University at Northridge, where he completed an MBA in international business with a 4.0 grade point average in this area of specialization.
