I’m tired, frustrated, and my body is failing. It is falling apart. I will spend most of the month of May sitting in doctors’ offices. Not only is my body falling apart, my country is too. People who call themselves Americans like to delude themselves by uttering this conservative, declarative statement: “America is the greatest country in the world!” Some American think America is a big Disneyland. I sure hope not! As a child, I hated Disneyland. It was a huge amusement park and I was not amused. My mom used to take me to see Disney movies, thinking I’d like them. During the screening, I’d ask her incessive questions hoping to get an answer I would like. One question was, “How long is this movie?” I went to the bathroom at least three times. Mickey Mouse is a symbolic character of the presidents of the United States. Donald Duck is symbolic of the rich “Tech-Bros.” I could go on and on. Oh, wait a second: Goofy represents the typical, white American citizen who goes along with any Mickey Mouse that runs for president, and who was selected by the Donald Ducks to run!

OK, enough said. I’d rather live in 1950’s Communist China than live in today’s Disney World Order. Hey, conservatives, I refuse to live in your fantasy society! I don’t want to live in some forever land up, in the sky, with Jesus and the rest of his family. You know? All God’s children left heaven long ago to go to different planets and celestial bodies. Living forever is so fucking boring! Yeah, God has a family, and there is a Mrs. God, too! Why do you think God has a dick? And why do you believe he is an advocate for family values? The only family values there are in the U.S.A are found in Dollar General stores.

Trump is a beloved predator of all the white prey in America. He preaches to his flock that all Black people are “Low IQ.” The real kicker, however, is that he doesn’t see that his devoted white people are “No IQ” and he is a stupid fuck! His ego tells him he’s a fucking genius! People, take this cautionary tale: don’t believe your ego! It will lead you astray.

There are 30 million people who support this…man. That is a lot of No IQ people! Why? All religions, capitalists, reactionary politicians, and military sergeants are ingrained with this false notion that authority is always right. Authoritarianism is for people with low self-esteem who think that, because they have no money or power, somebody who does has the right to insult and abuse them. Trump is that guy. He is the one with high self-esteem who proclaims he loves you but calls you a loser and a sucker behind your back.

Trump is a closet atheist, or maybe even a devil worshiper. He knows that when he dies, nothing awaits him because there is no afterlife. That’s why he wants his likeness on passports, paper money, coins, and big banners on a federal buildings. That is why he wants ballrooms and memorials like a big arch and golden statues. The incipit fool doesn’t realize that his name won’t be anywhere because he will be dead! And the dead don’t see anything. Where are the Hitler monuments, you stupid fuck?!

The Folly of Positive Thinking

If you don’t like traditional psychology, then you make up your own version and print your own book. You know? Vanity Press? Self-publishing? Commercial publishing companies are not going to publish your shit! That is, unless you write about Trump raping your poodle! Plus, the two generations, Millennials and Gen-Z, don’t read books. No! They play video games like “Torture Your X-Girlfriend.” How’s that played? You get a photo of your ex-girlfriend who dumped you and, through the graces of AI, you can give her those Dark Ages types of torture. Thus, you are relieved of all your anger. Problem solved. Long live the personal computer!

At the start of the 20th Century, life wasn’t that easy. During the Great Depression in the USA, you could either become a gangster, join the army, or barely survive as a hobo. You could also become a Holy Roller and annoy people with your proselytizing in the street.

In 1936, Dale Carnegie wrote a book called, “How to Make Friends and Influence People.” Guess what he started out doing for a living? He was a salesman! Surprised? He sold correspondence courses to ranchers and bacon and soap in the mid-west. Basically, he taught you how to sell your garbage with a smile on your face. Our current commander-in-chief uses those tactics; sells you trash you don’t need. After selling your worthless merchandise to your customer, you run as fast as you can and hide. This was the first of the self-help genre sold in the USA.

All these books would be a blueprint for the Trump presidency. His grandpa introduced him to the wisdom of Norman Vincent Pearl and his 1952 book, “The Power of Positive Thinking.” This type of thinking was reinforced by repeating affirmations, otherwise known as “mantras.” You’d repeat a chant like, “I’m a winner,” often throughout the day. Trump uses every cliché in this type of pop psychology. He showers his adoring public with positive slogans and feel good results. For example, “Be happy! Our economy is doing great!” regardless of the fact that most everyday Americans must now mortgage their homes to fill their gas tanks. But Trump doesn’t care about truth, especially if the truth is negative. “Be positive! Focus on the positive!” A lot of people who embrace this form of philosophy become like Pollyanna and live in a dream world.

Norman Pearl was a Christian minister. He inculcated this dualistic belief system in his followers’ heads. After all, this ideology is not based in scientific discipline. It is based on infantile, wishful thinking. Like religion, it is based on supernatural imaginings. God is going to help you with your lofty goals. But why should he? You serve him. He’s not your parents or anyone else buying you birthday gifts.

            I lived in Los Angeles for four decades and, during that time, I never left the place. Today, I revisit L.A. every night when I go to bed. Now, in my 70’s, I have the same old dreams, over and over again. During my 30’s to my early 60’s, I built a healthy “Spank Bank.” For those who are not hip to the slang, A “Spank Bank” is a collection of memories of past sexual encounters—one-night stands, relationship sex, and various types of perversions. To some, sex is sacred, fun and romantic. To me, sex is biological, like food and sports. It’s also about ego. But that is not my topic today. Someday I’ll write a treatise about the subject. This piece is about dreaming at night.

            People escape their day-to-day drudgery of living in the USA through numerous avenues. Using drugs is one, alcohol is another. Of course, let’s not forget about sex. There are sports, gambling, driving a fast car, religion, home improvement, lawn maintenance, movies, bad dance music, and television. And there is dreaming.

Yeah, beginning in 1954, whenever my mom needed a break, she’d plop me in front of the TV set. After all, the Boomer Generation was the first who was born with television in every home. I have no memories of any TV shows over the first four years of my life, of course. My memories consist primarily of these weird black and white images of scenery and characters. We had a Zenith TV. It was a funny looking thing, like a one-eyed robot. Once in a while, an TV tube would blow out, and my dad would take it to the local drug store to test it on their “tube tester.” If the tube was pronounced dead, he would buy a new one. It never dawned on him to just buy a supply of them so he could have them on hand and eliminate the need to drive to the store. He hated anybody who gave him advice! He preferred to figure it out for himself. I remember when he went to Sears and bought a gas-powered lawn mower. It was a big deal! But, for the life of him, he couldn’t get the thing to start! So, he took it back and got one of those push lawnmowers, like those used in the 19th Century.

It’s memories like those that make me laugh in my sleep. I dream about friends I had, girls I had crushes on, even newspaper headlines. I still remember the headline, “John Glenn Goes Into Space.” Newspapers were still king back then. TV News just provided a summary of the day’s events. Ah, and where newspapers’ sports sections gave you explicit details of major league games, TV just announced the scores.

            So, I dream about the time I played right field for my little league team. We wore uniforms; mine was a Detroit Tigers outfit. I was also in the Cub Scouts, then the Boy Scouts. I left home for the first time in 1964 to camp out with my Boy Scout troop in the Santa Monica Mountains. There is so much I can dream about so that, by morning, my mind is fresh. I listen to the morning news reporting the antics of a mentally ill president. Then the dark cloud returns to my brain: He did this! He did that! He attacks the left and scolds the right for not showing him gratitude. He verbally abuses female reporters. On and on and on it goes and when it will end, nobody knows!

            At least 17% of my generation rebelled against the war in Vietnam and President Nixon. Okay, we lost! But we tried—Hard! We warned America that someday Fascism would come! Did anyone believe us? No! They thought we were all messed up on drugs. Well, some of us were. I fucked around and found out.

It is now 2026 and guess what? It’s here! The lame, right wing turds claim that public schools are indoctrinating little kids into being leftists. LIE! If they were, those kids would know, intellectually, the meaning of fascism. The lies the conservatives tell the public about America are so absurd that nobody knows the truth! All they’ve got is this Pollyannaish Christian Disneyworld: America is morally perfect and everybody is white and happy. Growing up, I found out that that was a giant lie. But today’s kids are on the Internet, and they have become autodidactic and not one teacher brainwashes them!

The outlookseems grim. Not because of communist indoctrination, not because they are getting free stuff. It is because Conservatives are living in a dream and can’t wake up!

They title military operations like movies. After all, not unlike film companies, they are trying to sell tickets. But in this case, they’re selling you a war to support. That’s how right-wing government sees you: big babies who need to be entertained. So, they present war like an entertaining motion picture. Lots of action, excitement, and bloodshed! Since we must pay taxes, this model becomes a great investment opportunity: Video games to influence Millennials and Gen Z’ers to support a war. “Bang! Boom! Death! 158 dead schoolgirls! Yeah! We don’t want those people to breed! Didn’t the Jewish bible Tanakh teach you to kill your first born?”

Yes, it is sad but true. Can you believe it? We are in the twenty-first century, and we still have religious wars. Islam verses Christians! Jews form an alliance with Christians. Western Civilization behaves like barbarians who tame the world to be polite and civil; to worship a God that may not exist; to worship money like it’s a ticket to pleasure and fun; to make money like it’s the only way to be happy. Ask your local narcissist. They’ll tell you what I just did.

I am sick of it! Fuckin’ capitalism! The Communists failed to abolish it. Look at China! They have a monopoly on their economy. It’s no longer Marxist; it’s more like an Adam Smith free market. You heard me right.

We are sucked into an economy that operates like one big casino. We sweat for wages or run small businesses that make a puny profit. Either way, the government consistently taxes us unfairly. Do you know why? Because the conservative state regards you as a flea on the ass of Big Corporations. Big business hates small business!

We live in a society that encourages selfishness but also relies on nationalist sacrifice; that you are willing to die for your country. Translation: to die for corporate monopolies. The government wants you to think you are making the ultimate sacrifice for the flag and the cross. Nah. It’s for the symbol of money. This symbol, “$”. It’s about imperialism, people.

Israel is getting crowded, but has no money. They have the best medical research, but the worst apples. They claim to be a democracy, but they behave like a theocracy. They justify their genocide against Gaza with passages from the bible. Jews from all over the world seek asylum in Israel. Why? Antisemitism is still rampant and Israel needs more space. One thing you need to know is that its people couldn’t give two shits about Islamo-Fascism. They claim they are pro-democracy but that is just an alibi to wage war. What they want to do is to take over Iran and make it into a Jewish territory, run by a submissive, corrupt monarch who is a reformed Muslim.

America! Why should we care about Iran?! Well, thanks to the CIA anti-communist fanatism, they overthrew the Democratic Socialist Prime Minister Mossadegh and replaced him with the Shah in 1953. He was then replaced by Muslim fanatics in 1979. But hey! Thank Allah that the commies never took over! Instead, they have an Authoritarian Theocracy. So, if women show their faces in public, they get a public whipping. I’ll bet Donald J. Trump would love watching that!

Speaking of Jeffrey Epstein, Israel’s Mossad has some photos and/or video showing Trump getting it on with underage girls.  And that, my friends, is why we’re having a war with Iran! What’s this have to do with the Second Coming of Christ? Hell if I know!

There were times when the USA wasn’t involved in a war. I relish those times. One was during the 70’s. I hated that time; the mid 70’s was a bore. Looking back, though, I realize that it was a time to relax and enjoy life. But, I didn’t know how to do that. I toyed with the idea of starting a band, but I was going to night school and working weekdays in the garment industry. I didn’t know how to strategize or organize my life.

The last time I benefitted from an upheaval in Iran was in 1979, when Iranian students took U.S. hostages. I wrote a protest song about it and recorded it on vinyl. After that, every time America got embroiled in a war, it was short-lived or remained a secret from society. Like the wars in Central America were.

Robert Duvall, a well-seasoned Hollywood actor, died at the age of 95. He provided six decades of entertainment! And Black activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson, who preached about Afro-American liberation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, died at 83. I still remember him at Grant Park in Chicago, tears streaming down his face, on the eve of President Barack Obama’s election. It was 2009. After all those years of activism, he never believed a person of color would finally be elected president. He himself tried three times before that to win the presidency. These two men are giant historical figures.

What about the commoners of the United States? What about some recognition to the proletariats who built the USA with their bare hands? What about the soldiers who survived fighting in wars across the sea? Where are their tributes? The media is very selective about who gets the headlines. A corpse is judged by his bank account and poll numbers. The middle-class bodies and the poor are relegated to page 58 of the obituary section. But it costs money to be included there.

I avoid writing about my family. If I did, they would surely get butthurt, since I would easily pen my criticisms. I’d like to expose their selfishness and greed, but what would that accomplish? Nothing. Some like gossip mongering, I don’t. Whenever I write about my ex-girlfriends, for example, I never use their real names. This advice is for you up-and-coming writers: doing so will help you avoid lawsuits and angry husbands, rifles in hands, at your front door. Plus, nobody cares about your relatives or your exes. Do not ever use real names.

Recently, somebody in my family died and all I got was a phone call from my brother.  Actually, he called my wife, not me. He gave no reason why or what caused the death, nor any info about a funeral. Nothing.

In 1968, a duo from the British Invasion, Chad & Jeremy, recorded a song to explain it all; and it does. The song is, “Rest in Peace:”

It’s January in the Catskill Mountains. Outside my window the landscape is covered in snow. Deer are scavenging for any plant that might provide some nourishment. Squirrels climb up the leafless tree, to no avail, looking for walnuts. Why do I write about this? Because that is what I am experiencing right now.

Our heat source is oil that fires up a boiler to convert water into steam. Old-fashioned, but effective and efficient. Heating oil is expensive, so we conserve and economize as best as we can.

This bucolic environment is not as romantic as it sounds. Yes, it is quieter than city life and natural beauty is everywhere, like the animals and plants and the stars brightly shining. But I was born in a city, with all the modern conveniences just two blocks away. Police and fire services are summoned with a quick phone call, so much so that you hear a siren coming before you hang up. I am old, so I want those services close by. Pamela and I would have returned to Southern California last year, but nobody wanted to buy our house. We are going to try selling again this Spring. Wish us luck.

Aside from our personal problems, like money and health, here is the big picture: Climate Change—now the Climate Crisis—is the biggest. You notice the idiots who say, “Climate Change is a hoax!” Well, most of them are rich and Republican because all of their wealth comes from Partocracy wrapped up in petropolitics. They say that liberalism is a mental disorder, and that Conservatives and Libertarians protect your right to be greedy. Greed is a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Greed is never satiable; the mantra, “More! More! More!” persists. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a mental illness and, so, Conservatives are more mentally fucked up than Liberals.

Then, we got the reactionary tarpaulin dome smothering our nation. We’ve got a mentally ill president who is a puppet for this cabal of God knows what that is actually running this country.  Pretty good Manchurian candidate, sci-fi stuff if you ask me. Trump thinks he is a leader who is running the show. But he’s not. Just ask the puppet masters. They know who the boss is and it ain’t the orange goof! How does President Vance sound to you? It might happen soon.

So, how is my mental state? This political shit is certainly not helping.  It’s bad enough that I have all these neuroses but now, in my old age, I have plenty of additional problems. My so-called family is no help. They are selfish, needy people. If you were to ask them about me, they would tell you that I am a weird, reclusive asshole. Fuck them where they breed! You think I’m an ingrate? I am not. My late maternal grandmother helped me tremendously and for that, I have a whole lot of gratitude. And then, there was my beloved mother. She loved me unconditionally. One thing life has taught me is to analyze people and learn personality types. That way, nobody owes me any money and no one talks shit about me.

If I sound like Trump, then you need to learn the lessons of analysis. Workers versus capitalists is no different than me vs. a Narcissist. Or, it may be one individual vs. another, it’s the same thing. In a capitalist society like the USA, the slogan is trust no one. Good advice. In this sick capitalist society, everybody and their mothers are out to get easy money. I met a lot of salespeople and they all suck. The people I know and like are cool bohemians and kind. Otherwise, I am a-social.  Not anti-social.

The Second Ice Age in the USA

(Part 2)

Once upon a time on planet Earth, dinosaurs roamed. One day, a Triceratops told a Diplodocus that the world was going to freeze. The Diplodocus replied, “That’s a Liberal hoax.” Two weeks later, he froze to death.

Flash forward two million years. An orange president declared that climate change was a hoax, fabricated by the radical left. His big issue, with racist overtones, was that of illegal aliens. To commemorate the great Ice-Age, Part One, he named his immigration police, “ICE 47.” The president suffered from megalomania and told the world he was on GOD’s Speed Dial. He claimed he got emails from the Lord three times a day. He said that GOD had instructed him to “make America White Again.” Well, he decided to change GOD’s title to “Make America Great AGAIN.” It was more duplicitous that way. Plus, everybody knows that the name “American” means “Aryan Men.” The president said, “GOD is senile after zillions of centuries of existence, so I’m sure he won’t mind if I changed his title.” The president then called for “Operation: The Great Displacement of America.”  All non-white humans were rapidly sent to various parts of the world. The president said, “Never in the annals of history have we lived in a country that was created by the granddaddy of life—ME! I have created a utopia for white people!”

Of course, this is all from my imagination. What I did was exaggerate the truth within a fictional form. When I listen to evangelical preachers from the pulpit of a puny church in some small American town, it all sounds fictional to me. God always visits them in the middle of the night to have them pass on his messages to the world. I’m getting to think that God is one lazy deity. He delegates his projects to the humans he allegedly created.

Can you blame atheists for being so sour on religion? It all sounds like something out of a child’s imagination. The current president doesn’t believe in God, but it is in his best interest that he does. That is the source of a bigger voting-block. If there was a higher percentage of Gay voters, he would be wearing a miniskirt all day. No, the president only cares about impressing various tribes and winning their approval. He tries to win over the middle-aged, white male voter by conducting dare devil feats such as kidnapping a foreign nation’s leader and bombing its fishermen in their dinghies. Of course, he doesn’t do it himself, but he gets all the credit, nonetheless. He wants to show the world how macho he thinks he is. He does everything single-handedly. He is “Super-President!” He fights crime, he fights America’s enemies—domestic and foreign. He gives tax breaks to those who don’t need tax breaks.  He is the Super President!

No, he’s not! He is a senile old man who shits in his pants.

He never does what he claims he’s accomplished. Venezuela’s government has remained the same as it was before he invaded it and kidnapped its leader. The whole event was merely a show to demonstrate what a “hawk” he is. How about when he sent National Guard troops to American cities to fight crime? All they did was pick up trash and march up and down the streets all day. Such a tremendous waste of resources! He lies and says how crime went down as a result. Those numbers are the same as when Biden was in office.

Not let’s talk about illegal immigration. This has been an issue with conservatives since the 1940’s—how normal White people don’t want non-White people taking their jobs. However, rich doners—who give generously to the GOP—own farms and pay illegal aliens meager wages to work them. They put up billboards along our borders that read, “Help wanted!” The president hires illegal aliens for his building projects, as he has done for decades. They pay the workers less and they profit more. That’s how the game has been played for 250 years.

All this president must do to impress his base is to hire fringe militia groups, like the Proud Boys, take them to the Army Surplus store, and dress them like soldiers, and bingo! We have a fake immigration force!

What he has created is a gang of skinhead thugs. It doesn’t matter if the targeted Latino is an American Chicano, these thugs enjoy manhandling and torturing them until they pass out. They assault pregnant women and tie up children in the middle of the night; smash into their vehicles and drag out drivers and passengers; tear-gas and drag protesters along the pavement.

Well, guess what? This president didn’t get the reception he expected. He misread his supporters. Not all White guys are heartless sadists. They have children and wives who they love. Did he think all White people enjoy seeing innocent ones—of any color—getting hurt? “Libtards” are not the only compassionate people around. White conservatives, otherwise known as “Chuds,” have hearts too.

What you are witnessing now is common Americans resisting ICE by any means they can. Using cell phones and taking videos, heckling and chanting slogans, blowing whistles, holding massive marches on main streets around the country.

What will be next? Non-violent resistance, Mahatma Gandhi style? Americans are now calling ICE, “Gestapo.” They are hip to the jive!

Got news for you Goys:  The Jews have never been united or unanimous about anything. Guess what, you American Gentiles: Jews are just as human as you are! The entire world has never had a consensus about anything. We humans have a thing uniquely ours: “Ego.”  That is why we have child abuse, spousal abuse, racism, and wars. It’s because you are but a tiny spec in life and you feel like a nobody. Because you are. So, you lash out at the world with violence.

            There are two types of egotism: One is individualism, which is defined as, “Fuck you! Me first!” The other is Egotist Collectivism, commonly known as Nationalism or Patriotism. “My country is superior to your shit hole country!” Egotism can be applied to anything, i.e. My Race is better than your Race, or my sex is better than yours. I’m talking about gender, people. So, those with low esteem acquire high esteem from demeaning others. Don’t care? Then you are the one I am attacking.

            Do you know why most Jews are registered Democrats? Because the political party responsible for the German Holocaust were right-wing fascists, that’s why! A lot of American Jews discarded their faith, Judaism, and became Buddhists, agnostics, or outright atheists. Why? Well, for the same reason that a minority of Catholics became Devil worshipers or atheists. “This is America! Fuck the old country! I want to be a material dude! Money is my God! I want to have sex with a young girl because women my age scare the shit out of me!”

            Why do people walk away from their religion? Because of intellectualism. They learn about critical thinking, which is something God hates. Then why did he give you a brain? He didn’t! Millions of years of evolution provided that. That’s why the religious right is against higher education.

Well, today you are going to learn about Jews.

            Originally, Israel was a Democratic Socialist country. They had Kibbutz’s, which means “communes” or “communism.” Today’s Jewish Conservatives want to change the definition of Antisemitism to fit their right-wing agenda on Israel. What is that agenda? To make Israel a Capitalist Gentile country. Read Moses Hess. Also, read about Rabbi Meir Kahane, New York born Jew who founded the Jewish Defense League in 1968, and later founded the Kach Party in Israel in 1971. In 1973, however, a new party came along that was even more devious: The Likud Party, which was founded by Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon.

            This type of oppression goes all the way back to the American Jewish gangsters in the 1920’s. The Jewish mob had protection rackets who’d terrorize Jewish small businesses by sending thugs to their stores to collect “service fees” for “protection.” If the owners didn’t or couldn’t pay, they’d beat the hell out them!

            Now, the right wing Judeo-Fascists have taken over Israel. They want to expand the country to be as big as Texas. American Republican Conservatives and a smattering of Democrats are their biggest financial backers. However, the money they get does not go to Israel. It goes to the Right-Wing Nationalists’ treasury. These Judeo-Fascists created the worst talking points of propaganda for the Gaza genocide.

Allow me to focus on the definition of Antisemitism for a moment. First, the Likud Party members are not Zionists, they are religious nationalists. They want to cleanse Israel of all Arabs. Second, they are all Theocrats. When they say, “We want to make Israel a Jewish State in the way that Iran is an Islamic State,” They mean it.  No more Democracy. No more socialist shit! The country will be run by Rabbis.

Now, I ask you to ponder my questions:

If I say Israel’s apples are the world’s worst, does that make me an Antisemite?

If I criticize the Communist Party of Israel, does that make me an Antisemite?

If I hate Barbra Streisand’s nose, does that make me an Antisemite?

If I said Arnold Rothstein was public enemy number one, does that make me an Antisemite?

If I marry a non-Jewish woman, does that make me a self-hating Jew?

If I have a Gentile doctor, does that make me a self-hating Jew?

If I ever hated Leona Helmsley, does that make me an Antisemite?

How about financier, Michael Milken?

What about the “Son of Sam,” David Berkowitz?

I can’t stand Mark Levin, Ben Shapiro, and Michael Savage; does that make me an Antisemite?

If I didn’t like The Three Stooges or The Marx Brothers, does that make me an Antisemite?

If I thought Bob Dylan was full of shit, does that make me an Antisemite?

Of course, the answer to each of those questions is, Fuck NO!

I don’t like genocide against Palestinians. You know that Arabs have semitic blood, so if I hate Arabs does that make me an Antisemite?

            Israel is under Judeo-Fascist rule. Palestine is a victim of the Likud Party. They are not Zionists, they are Jewish supremacists--just like the Jewish Power Party. So, I say to you…

The Death of CBS

The old-line conservatives use to say that CBS was an acronym for “Communist Bull Shit.” Not that they were part of the political spectrum anyway. After World War II, the U.S.A. was not as supportive of conservative ideology. So, they tepidly spoke against it. This was particularly evident in the Science Fiction TV show, “The Twilight Zone.” Plenty of Anti-Fascist messages conveyed there. This took a lot of courage during the Red Scare of the 50’s and early 60’s. CBS’ number one news broadcaster, Walter Cronkite, later did a commentary on how futile the war in Vietnam was.

Now, the proverbial tables have turned again. Why? Because this is one nation under the God of money. Never mind the temperature of the political climate. The only concern is profitability for the corporation.

Most of the world’s media is controlled by governments, like the B.B.C. in Great Britian, for example. But, here in the states, it’s all privately owned. As for P.B.S., the U.S. may make contributions to that network, but their revenue comes mostly from viewers who make donations via their local P.B.S. stations. Conservatives have wanted to abolish that network for decades.

A young Pat Buchanan, who was President Nixon’s speech writer, once went into the oval office and said to him: “Sir: I have an idea. We can counter left wing propaganda by starting our own private network. We can brainwash the America people by broadcasting lies about the news. We can make conservative views as American as Apple Pie. We’ll call it G.O.P.  T.V.”

Nixon replied, “That’s a great idea, Pat. I’m busy right now. Next time you have an idea like that, put it in writing and submit to the wastepaper basket.” Now, those words were allegedly spoken, but I’d bet they were actually said. That’s how Fox News was born.

The reason conservative thought says that media is liberal is because objective reality has a left-wing bias. When it was reported that American soldiers in Vietnam slaughtered innocent civilians, it was fact. When reports said that tenants were evicted from their homes, it was fact. Whenever media reported that workers had gotten laid off from their jobs because their company decided to move its factory to Mexico, it was the truth! It wasn’t long before the three major television networks started to play the objective game. But they just wanted those advertising dollars. So, they gave equal time to both sides. But it’s always the conservatives who keep screwing up!

Now, due to big fish eating the small, media capitalism is merging for Mo Money, Mo Money, Mo Money! In 2019, CBS merged with Viacom, which was then rebranded as Paramount Global in 2022. Now, sparing the details, Paramount has acquired conservative journalist Bari Weiss’ online magazine, “The Free Press” (not to be confused with the “Los Angeles Free Press”). CBS CEO, David Ellison, has made Weiss its news editor-in-chief. Since 2021, her online publication has spewed volumes of anti-woke and pro-Israel content, views openly shared by Ellison.  As such, Weiss wants to make CBS into another Fox network. Conservative propaganda and trash TV shows abound. So, CBS now stands for Conservative Bull Shit.

I grew up in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. Canter’s Delicatessen and the Fairfax Movie Theater, both near the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, were the big attractions. On the opposite corner was CBS Television City. It opened in the fall of 1952. Just east of CBS was the Gilmore Stadium. The Gilmore was home to professional and collegiate football and baseball venues. Plus, it hosted popular midget auto racing. You heard me correctly. But a major TV network studio beats the hell out of midget racing!

Many classic TV shows were filmed at Television City, as well as variety and game shows, all of which offered free attendance to the public. One major show I recall was filmed there was “The Red Skelton Show.” I wasn’t down with the clown because his act came out of the Vaudeville era. Sometimes The Ed Sullivan Show taped there during the winter. Once Herman Hermits played there! I tried to get tickets, but they were gone by the time I got there. I did see the band’s bass player, though.

Some Boomers get nostalgic when they see old black and white TV commercials. Some of them were entertaining, even though they interrupted your favorite movies. I was living in a major media market, and we had the Big Three networks and four local stations. Local newspapers had TV guides, so we kept abreast of what was on. Poor people had only black and white TV sets. Middle class and rich people had color. I wouldn’t have a color TV until I was an adult, in the mid-80’s. I had a Zenith portable’s TV set. All I had to do was plug it in and adjust the rabbit ears antenna and BOOM! I had entertainment all night long! I spent $76 on the TV and had it for 16 years. Soon, the networks got greedy. They added cable to their menus, and then satellite TV, both for added fees. Now, Internet streaming networks and channels are the big profit-drivers. Plus, adding insult to injury, you must now pay a costly fee NOT to show commercials. The only time I recall hearing about “pay TV” was at a bus station in a waiting area, where you’d put a quarter in a slot on the set next to your arm rest. The presentation would last 30 minutes. These were also in rooms at cheap motels.

Another thing I miss, now obsolete, was the TV Guide. It was free at first, then when sold, it outsold the King James Bible.  Your favorite TV star would be featured on the cover.

CBS was my favorite major network. One show I really loved was the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. It aired at 9 p.m. on Sunday nights. They were not ashamed of being on the left. And they weren’t even Jewish. Damn!

Now that traditional television is becoming obsolete, TV networks are selling to the lowest bidder. Sad. My generation was born with television. It was always there. Incidentally, radio was saved by rock and roll! “Shock Radio” followed. Radio’s final nail in the coffin was conservative talk radio.

            What was 2025 in the USA? For me, personally, it was a sack of crap! However, my home team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, won the World Series! Otherwise…. sheee itt!!! My personal life was filled with multiple physical illness proceeded by sickness. I had never seen so many doctors in my life before this year!. Sociologically, it was a shit-villa to the max! U.S. conservatives made fascism into this tawdry, goofy, 1960’s drive-in movie. While the audience members were in their parents’ station wagons, having premarital sex, the big screen was being completely ignored. Who cares about the fiction on the screen while you’re having nonfictional sex in the back of your parent’s car? America was not hot, but you were! After you both had your happy ending, you looked up at the screen and your girlfriend asked, “Who is the ugly old man with the orange goop on his wrinkly face?” You reply, “I don’t know. Maybe this is a monster movie and he’s the monster.” Maybe he was. A thought I have is, ‘Maybe the vanquishing heroine is Taylor Swift?’ Maybe not.

What I am trying to say is, Jesus Christ hasn’t packed his bags yet to return to the scene of the crime. Maybe he doesn’t exist at all. Fuck! I am in a quandary! What to do! What to do?

            Sixty years ago, it was 1965. Public school didn’t know what to do with me. They didn’t know what dyslexia was. They didn’t know what O.C.D. was, or even Dyscalculia. I also had frequent panic attacks. If you asked my dad, he would say, “Oh, he’s just lazy and stupid.” I think he was projecting. At the time, I was contemplating suicide. I was only 11 years old, for heaven’s sake! My young life was depressing and so was I. But in the big picture, we had a shit kicker for president, baseball was exciting. and so was Top 40 radio. My five-dollar transistor radio was my only friend.

            I am 71 now and my predictions back in 1969 were correct. I predicted America would go fascist, but I didn’t think it would be like a John Waters movie. First of all, we’ve got a president who thinks life is a T.V. show with high ratings. He chooses the worse presidential cabinet ever assembled, comprised of every type of degenerate and conceivable stripe he could find. Why? Because he loves firing people. In his feeble mind, it makes him look powerful, strong, and smart. A puppy killer, alcoholics, perverts who suffer from Ephebophilia, white collar crooks, dishonest pastors of evangelical churches, podcasters, and criminal businessmen. What a bunch! Any resistance? Not much. Democrats just verbalize about nothing. Affordability? We can’t afford them! They are obsequious pussies.

So, how about the artists in the USA? They are so underground, they’ve got tombstones above their heads. Pop music in America was terrible this year. I am shocked, just shocked, that we still have record companies. You’d think the young would crave rebellious music! Not this generation. They get their aggression out by killing video game villains. Well, I have to say this: I’d rather they are in their mothers’ basements playing video games than deploying to a Third World country to kill the poor peasants.

Now here in the US, we’ve got masked men in unmarked rental vehicles, kidnaping non-white individuals and disappearing them out of the country, never to be heard from again. This is our version of gestapos. This is U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with which any unemployed ex-con can get a well-paid, government job harassing brown people. In Trump’s psychotic mind, white people will make him a conquering hero of the white race. Since he has no intellect, he believes in stereotypes. He didn’t realize that some white people have way higher consciousness than anything he could muster up.

            So, welcome to the New ICE Age. Trump says America is hot. No, Butt face! It’s as cold as ice! You and your white thieves made it that way.
