Audrey and Andre are also contrasting Emilie and Gabriel in this regard.

Andre changed everything him about himself in order to win Audrey’s love, but she never truly loved him.

Gabriel thought he had to change everything about himself in order to be worthy of Emilie, but she loved him the way he was.

I think how she interacts with the eggs would depend on where she was in her development. S1, S2, etc.

I legit don't know. I don't ascribe to the rock bottom theory myself and divining what that man thinks would be required for it to count is not a good place to go.

Chloe doing Ballet is one of the exceedingly rare instances of her being skilled and qualified at a certain thing but not another to make a point. I don’t think we ever get a similar instance of her being skilled, adept, or disciplined in something to prove a narrative point, and that’s part of what makes the ballet tidbit so odd to me.

On top of that there’s the implication she was patient enough to have a teacher, and take critique when learning it for a very long period of time, which signifies personal attachment to the teacher themself (a la Ms. Bustier), or a genuine dedication and love for the craft or just improvement in some way. It feels incongruous with the way they wanted the character to be, as either option presented displays somewhat of a caring heart or some sense of deeper passion and discipline. Neither of the previously stated traits were necessarily desirable for them to display later down the line, as her characterization later is shallow and power hungry.

Yep, it's one of those offhand things they never thought about in canon. (Among many things for many characters).

I remember once reading something where the commenter believed one of the reasons why Andre spoiled Chloe so much and enabled her behavior is because he wanted a mini Audrey around to make up for her absence, and honestly… I can see it.

Don't worry, I don't know how to do that either, or if it's even possible.

And yes, I remember reading a pretty comprehensive and detailed post that pointed out Chloe's wife-ification (I'm sure that wasn't the right term, sorry, my memory and English are bad) in her behavior around Andre. One of the biggest points was how, by turning Audrey into Andre's definition of a "good wife" in Malediktator, she behaved almost exactly like Chloe did with him in chaptes like Rogercop.

since qotd released a few weeks ago and I’ve had time to think about it and discuss it with others. I think qotd could be an amazing set up for Chloe’s character in the upcoming seasons because of the things we see in this episode, the things shown to us are:

Noe and Audrey are using her for their own gain something she doesn’t know

shes basically fully isolated now with no one but the people Noe and Audrey hire, Noe and Audrey themselves and her fans

her reaction to losing control and how that makes her spiral (when Zoe Marinette and Sabrina were walking away)

that she’s one of the the most famous people on earth with around 413 mil followers

I feel like it’s obvious at some point Chloe is gonna hit rock bottom and realise Audrey and Noe were using her (wether she finds out or they tell her and drop her) and that she was nothing but a pawn to them. Knowing how she reacted realising she has no control over Marinette, Sabrina and Zoe anymore imagine how she’d react now, with realising she’s been nothing but a pawn instead of the ‘queen’ she sees herself as. I feel like only after hitting rock bottom and being faced by this reality that she has no one and is just a puppet, she can change and hopefully get into a better environment and get some THERAPY PLEASE

I’d love for Chloe and Zoe to tell Audrey off together at some point and acc bond as sisters and I also think that this can also deliver another important message to kids if Chloe chooses to apologise to the people she’s hurt

The message being that you don’t owe someone forgiveness just cause they’re trying to do better. Chloe is one of the villains that has had the biggest personal impact on most of the main cast with bullying them. I think a really powerful message to kids would be that you don’t need to necessarily forgive someone just cus they’re apologising and I would love to see some miraculers accept her apology but choose not to forgive her and it’d be interesting to see who would give her a chance and who wouldn’t.

I feel like if the show goes the route of ‘haha Chloe evil and dumb Chloe deserves this” and choose to ignore she’s being groomed now would be horrible messaging since it forces this narrative of a victim of abuse having to react a certain way to be considered one. Some kids lash out more when dealing with stuff like neglect (like Chloe) while some don’t ( like Adrien for example) and that is imo a horrible messaging to kids and something I hope this show doesn’t follow for future seasons. Denying or justifying grooming should never happen even if the person on the receiving hand is as horrible as Chloe and that’s why I hope they acc do something good with this storyline since qotd does set Chloe up to be able to have a really interesting storyline (the most interesting for her since like s3)

heres the thing Chloe’s arc will never be what it might’ve been in s2-3 and stuff like queen bee have long ended but s6 sets her up for a different arc which if wel executed could be one of the best in the series imo

Also I’m ignoring Thomas saying stuff like ‘she’ll never be redeemed’ since he’s known for telling lies or stuff that later on aren’t true anymore (for example he said Felix would never play a big role a few years ago) and if you want to bring Thomas’s tweets into this even he has said Chloe can change if given the reason, I can see rock bottom totally being that reason.

since most of the S6 episodes revolving around the Miraculars had them confronting their parents, what if they’re building up to a Chloé and Zoé confrontation towards Audrey?

the show made it obvious in QotD that Chloé is being used and manipulated by Audrey and Noé, and Vesperia has yet to have had her transformation, so it’s possible that in S7 there’ll be an episode involving both of them

like Ivan confronted his dad in El Toro De Piedra, Nath confronted his mom in The Ruler, Adrien had to confront his father (even if it wasn’t actually him) in Mister Agreste, Kagami confronting her mom in Yaksi Gozen, and then again in The Dirtifiers, Nino confronting his parents in The Dirtifiers, etc

both Mylene and Sabrina had to deakumatize their parents in their respective episodes

1)Kung Food: Chloe is ignorant, that's a given. Thing is, Chloe *likes* Sushi. It's one of her favorite foods. She's not mocking Chinese culture at all in this scenario. She's mocking the idea of entering a soup in a cooking competition(which yes, it's really not a good way to win. A soup doesn't show off nearly enough skills compared to other dishes. Chloe doesn't even argue about Sushi being Japanese once corrected. She *Does* call him Japanese later, but that's making a lame excuse to gtfo after she's just sabotaged his soup. Like you could tilt your head, squint and say it was racially motivated, but it requires being ungenerous to her specifically in an episode where the writing doesn't care enough to separate Dragon Ball Z from Chinese culture so... 2)In Animaestro she mentions Kagami stealing Adrien and he'll be 'eating sushi for the rest of his life!' ummm again, she *likes* Sushi. It's what she'll remember from Japan (She's not smart, remember?) and you *do* generally eat it in Japan. You don't have to but it's pretty likely. (Source: Lived in Japan for a yr) Would it be racist to say someone going to France would be 'eating Baguettes for the rest of his life!' ?

These are both cases of people deciding she's racist first(because all bad people have to have ALL the bad flaws) then reverse engineering proof.
