it starts simple. he’s laying back on your bed, hoodie riding up a little, abs just barely peeking out. you’re curled next to him, cheek against his chest, arms around his waist.
but then you shift lower.
at first he thinks you’re just getting comfy, but then your cheek presses to his stomach, and you let out this soft little hum like you’ve just found your favorite place in the world.
“…what’re you doin’ down there?”
“mm… tummy,” you mumble, totally content.
he stares at the ceiling, fighting demons. his ears are beginning to tint pink.
“the hell does that mean.”
“i love your tummy,” you say, voice muffled. “so warm. so comfy.”
you press a gentle little kiss just above his waistband and he physically short-circuits. muscles twitch. cheeks go red. brain is just static and mush.
“jesus christ,” he mutters, dragging a hand down his face.
but he doesn’t stop you. doesn’t even move. just lays there like a sacrificial lamb while you rub your cheek against his tummy and kiss it again, whispering “i love you i love you i love you.”
“you’re such a freak,” he grumbles.
you grin. “but you like it.”
he covers his face with a pillow and groans. “shut up.”

“i’m home,” you call out, haphazardly putting your keys back into your bag with one hand, the other cradling near your chest the mid-sized box you got from sato’s shop earlier that day.
you’re careful not to mess up the pastry that sits inside it.
“welcome home,” bakugou’s gruff voice echoes from the direction of the kitchen, the sound of which immediately soothes the tension you didn’t know you held in your shoulders.
it’s been a long day, you think to yourself.
excited to meet him after almost 24 hours of not seeing each other, you hurriedly toe off your shoes, noting to yourself to properly return them on the shoe rack later—lest your katsuki nags your ear off again (affectionately).
“hey,” you greet once more as you enter the room, cautiously placing the box on the table before striding towards him to wrap your arms around his middle.
he grunts in acknowledgment.
with your chin on his firm shoulder, you examine the impressive array of ingredients and some of your favorite dishes on the kitchen counter, as well as on the island behind you.
you decide to tease him.
“what’s all this for, babe?”
you can somehow feel more than see him side-eyeing you. “the fuck?”
as innocently as you can, you pipe up: “what?”
at your query, he shrugs himself from your hold and places the knife he was just using to expertly chop vegetables on the table before turning to face you, incredulous.
“whaddya mean, ‘what’?” he huffs, before continuing. “are you saying you forgot what day it is?”
you debate with yourself for a second whether or not to continue this ruse, ultimately deciding against it when you see the flash of hurt on bakugou’s face.
smiling, you reach out to hold his hands in yours.
he doesn’t shrug you off.
a frown still decorates his face, though.
“of course i didn’t, babe,” you say, squeezing his hand for emphasis. “how could i?”
“with how little sleep you’ve been getting ‘cause of how hard you work?” he retorts—rhetorically, based on his tone, “very.”
you only grumble in response as he turns back to continue hacking on the green onions on the off-white chopping board.
he wasn’t wrong.
after a few seconds of staring at his backside, you sigh in defeat, spinning to step toward the kitchen island.
“well, i got us something.”
“what,” he says more than asks, focus still directed towards slicing carrots now. you smile to yourself; you could practically hear the pout in his tone.
you tap on his shoulder, and at that, he finally turns to look at you, an eyebrow raised in question.
immediately, his gaze lowers to the box that you’re currently holding, and a whirlwind of emotions dances across his face.
“...‘happy 4th anniversary to us, champ’?”
despite yourself, you snort. he shoots you a glare, though it has no bite to it.
you gesture to the cake you’re holding. “i didn’t include ‘i love you’ because i knew that would embarrass you around sato the next time the class gets together.”
“yet you decided to use this weird as fuck pet name?” he shakes his head, exasperated. if you didn’t know any better, you’d think his cheeks are turning pink. “your dumbass making me sound like your kid.”
at that, you cackle, and a smirk manages to crack through the annoyed facade he’s trying to maintain.
you place the box back on the counter and step towards him again, coaxing the knife from his grip. you place it on the board before moving to circle your arms around his neck.
his hands automatically find their place on your hips.
you grin up at him.
“well, you do call me mommy, sometimes.”
now, you’re definitely not imagining the scarlet that’s creeping up on his face.
“shut up,” he pokes at your side, and you can’t help the squeal that erupts from you.
after a moment of him tickling you and you frantically begging him to stop all the while gasping for air, he finally relents.
he’s still red in the neck when the air between you falls into a quiet lull.
you reach up to comb his hair back with your fingers, tiptoeing to press a kiss on his forehead. when you pull back, you see that his gaze has visibly softened, and he’s now looking at you with what you’ve long identified as adoration.
longing, too.
four years of being married, and it still knocks the wind out of your lungs.
“happy anniversary, kats,” you whisper, before looking around your shared kitchen that’s filled with testaments of the effort bakugou puts into your relationship. “thank you for doing this.”
“‘s no big deal,” he mumbles, dipping his head to rest on the crook of your neck. he says this despite everything else in the room telling you otherwise.
when he lifts his head back up, you shoot him a knowing look, and he shoots you another right back.
one you know all too well.
one that says, ‘you know what i mean. don’t make me say it’.
four years of being married, and the giddiness and pride of knowing bakugou katsuki this intimately still hit you like a truck.
“i love you,” you whisper again.
“yeah, yeah,” he says dismissively, before dipping in to place a kiss on your forehead. “i love you, too, dumbass.”
a/n. marriage, when it's not failing lol, is so romantic to me, and i wanted to encapsulate what it's like being married to bakugou in this fic. (0.9k)

I feel like Mina would totally get the other boys to do drag for a fun competition (plus she gets to practice her makeup skills) and Bakugo gets looped in with a calculated bait along the lines of "yours wouldn't be the best" so he just HAS to put together the best drag persona ever to prove them wrong
There's an unspoken rule that gets established early on in your relationship with Bakugo, one that he assumes you know after a few months together.
The rule in question? You need to kiss him three times before you leave his apartment; one for luck, one for the road, and one just because.
One day, you're in a rush to get out the door, running late for a lunch date with your friends. You're bouncing around his apartment to be sure you have everything — phone, keys, wallet — and place a quick kiss to his lips as you pass by him in the living room. "I'll be back in a few hours, love you!"
Bakugo grabs your wrist gently, tugging you back toward him with a pout on his face. "Nuh uh, c'mere." He pulls you over his lap, cradling you while tilting your chin up to face him. "You're askin' for trouble if you think we're done here, sweets."
You blink at him in confusion. He rolls his eyes, no actual annoyance behind it, and shakes his head. "Ya only gave me one kiss, you know better than that."
"Oh, so I owe you—"
"Damn right you do," he cuts you off with a cocky little smirk that he's too good at doing. "Three — no ifs, ands or buts. And mean it, none'a those quick bullshit pecks, real kisses."
Of course, what were you thinking? You lean forward and press the first kiss to his lips, soft and gentle. "One," you whispers before following up with two more, slow and purposeful. "Two and three."
"Much better," Bakugo whispers with a genuine smile. He lets you get back to your feet, a large palm on the small of your back to support you. He pats the back of your thigh once you're steady. "Love you too. Have fun with the girls, but not too much fun. Don't wanna chase ya down the sidewalk again after you throw back four mimosa pitchers to yourselves."
note: still wanna smooch him 3000 more times. the idea of him pouting about not getting real kisses makes me wanna melt. like oh I'm sorry you want affection? my bad mister anti-touch lol

“You look like you’re ready to ascend to the afterlife,” Tokoyami said, his voice calm but tinged with concern.
“Maybe I am, Fumi. Maybe this is it for me.”
“You have a mild fever and a sore throat. Hardly fatal.”
“But it feels fatal,” you whined, your voice scratchy. “I’m so weak. I don’t even have the energy to do my nails!” You wiggled your bare fingers in the air for emphasis, looking utterly defeated. “Ugh, they’re naked.”
He tilted his head, his beak twitching in what might have been amusement. You could hardly tell. “You’re being dramatic.”
“I’m not. I can feel my soul leaving my body, Fumi. I’m… so… cold.”
He rolled his eyes but reached for the extra blanket folded at the end of your bed, draping it over you with a sigh. “There. Better?”
“Thank you. I felt like I needed to tell you about my last will and testament.”
“Your sense of drama is impressive,” Tokoyami replied, his tone dry.
“It’s a gift.”
“Yes, I suppose so.”
“Don’t worry, Fumi. I’ll haunt you lovingly.”
He reached for the tissue box and handed it to you. “You’re not haunting anyone. Blow your nose.”
With a pout, you accepted the tissues and complied. “Ugh, even my sneezes aren’t cute right now,” you muttered, your cheeks flushed not from embarrassment but from your fever.
“Your sneezes are rarely cute,” Tokoyami pointed out.
“Rude,” you sniffled.
Just as you were about to unknowingly fall into a deep slumber, Tokoyami reached for the small tray he’d brought with him, holding a bowl of soup he’d made earlier.
“You need to eat first,” he said. “Eat, then sleep.”
You stared at it like it was the most daunting task in the world. Plus, your exhaustion most likely killed your appetite.
“I don’t think I can lift the spoon.”
He sighed again but didn’t argue. Instead, he carefully picked up the spoon and held it to your lips. “Open.”
You paused. “You’re feeding me?”
“Would you rather starve?”
“No?” So you did as told.
Tokoyami fed you a spoonful of warm soup, a recipe he had to call his mother for, satisfied that you’re complying. “See? Not so hard.”
“Thanks, Fumi. You’re the best nurse ever.”
“I aim to serve,” he replied dryly, though you could tell he was pleased.
Such dramatics.
“Fumi?”
You looked at him with bleary eyes, trying to adjust to the dim light illuminating your room. “Fumi,” you said again just as he finished setting the tray aside.
“Yes?”
“If I don’t make it… promise me you’ll keep my sticker collection safe.”
Tokoyami stared at you, his expression utterly unamused. “You’re going to make it.”
“You’re no fun,” you pouted.
“I’m not ready to take responsibility for your sticker collection. That is a big responsibility, even for me.”
You laughed, though it was a weak and raspy sound. “You’d love it! There’s so much glitter.”
“Glitter is not my aesthetic.”
“Well, maybe it should be.”
“Well, you should rest,” he shook his head, gently adjusting the blanket around you. “You’ll feel better tomorrow.”
As the hours went on, you grew quieter, your usual energy completely sapped by your cold. Tokoyami stayed by your side, of course, reading quietly while you dozed off just to make sure that there wasn’t anything too concerning with your cold.
He wishes that your sickness would go away sooner because he can’t stand seeing you like this. Though you can always count on him to take care of you, just like in the future vows of, “In sickness, and in health.”
