So. I have a story to tell about a man named David. I hooked up with him twice recently. Things were amazing, he respected me. He showed me what actual love is. I've never experienced that. It turns out he was cheating on his wife. He said he was addicted to sex. He said when he saw me he couldn't resist. After I warned him about my trauma, originally he was going to back out. But he wanted to show me what it felt to be properly cared for. He did that. Sadly, we had to end things once he came clean about his wife. He said that meeting me was so helpful to him, finding himself. I guess you could call it a Midlife crisis. Ten years of going behind his wife's back. Meeting with me took a weight off his shoulders. He is treating his wife better. He wants to be there for his kids. I guess I must have kissed some sense into him. Regardless of being one of the peiple he cheated on his wife with, he helped me somehow, too. He showed me something that no one has ever done. He showed me care. He showed me love. He respected me. He made me feel like a king. He treated me as an equal. It didn't matter that we had a bit if an age gap, he treated me like an adult, not a teen/young adult. He showed me that I AM WORTH IT. Not to settle for low. Go out there, finish college, do my own thing, better myself, and not to let people take advantage of me. I am worth it. Thank you for showing me this, David.

I made a Lyric Edit. It's 3am and I can't sleep. I have class in the morning, and all that plagues my mind is horrible horrible thoughts. I'm trying so hard to stay positive.

Got my mind off of family drama and depression issues for a while and spent some time tonight with an amazing guy who always goes out of his way to make me feel special and accepted.
