Last week we were lucky enough to get invited to Accepted Rebellions Gallery Opening in the heart of Camden Market. Showcasing some incrediblle pieces by the likes of Inkie, Zeus, Banksy, Mr Brainwash and my more.
As well as getting to see the amazing DJ Carpetface and Peaky perform in the gallery we drank great beer and got to meet extremely interesting people, including the art galleries founder ‘Dizzi.’
It was a great night and well worth a check out when you’re next in Camden, London.

A look into Katie Eary’s SS17 collection. ‘Stars, stripes and predator fish... smooth on the surface, disturbed in the depths’ Inspired by Ivrine Welsh’s The Blade Artist.
Katie Eary “It’s a fun collection about the dark things that preoccupy me, viewed by a prism of memory and touched by a feeling of luxury.”
“All the subjects I'm inspired by are a reminder of reality, even if they originate in classic fiction as the kind of inspirational characters we normally dare not admit to relating to.”
Founded by Nick Biela & James Waller we ended LCM this week with Blood Brothers, showcasing their new “Homesick” collection. Taking inspiration from the nostalgic heyday of the great British holiday.
“Inspired by writing home on a postcard, rushing to a sun trap in the city, or making the most of a long weekend camping, this collection is a dedication to those making the most of a sunny day in an often rainy ‘Blighty’” - Nick Biela & James Waller
The Desert Rats, nickname for the British 7th Armoured Division and also the British 8th Army.
Nigel Cabourn has created yet another timeless collection that tells a story. Taking inspiration from British World War 2 history to create ‘Desert Rats.’ Nigel’s collection includes stylish workwear as well as mens and women suits created with Lyria Fabric. Some of the pieces taken from actual military wear and reworked into new designs.
This whole collection shows how Nigel Cabourn is taking old classics and constantly evolving in his designs to bring them back to life.
We were lucky enough to view the new Barbour x Selfridges exclusive AW16 capsule at the opening day of LCM this week. Taking some of the most iconic pieces in Barbours 120 year history archive and reimagining them in 6 statement jacket styles that will be available exclusively to Selfridges.
Ben Hurren, Buyer at Selfridges commented,
‘With Barbour and Selfridges both being thoroughly British brands, London Collections seemed to be the most natural and obvious platform for us to exclusively preview our collaboration capsule. LCM has become and institution for showcasing the best of British fashion, so we couldn't think of a better setting within which to preview a collection that’s steeped in celebrating the best of these two British heritage brands.’
This collection will be in all Selfridges stores across the UK and online in September this year.

Ok so we have all heard the horror stories about animal testing, but do any of us really care enough to not use companies that test on animals? For most of us thats probably a no.
I dont wanna rub it in peoples faces but its something we need to all acknowledge, as we can't ignore the facts.
What should we look for? I want to address the fact that because a bottle has “This product was not tested on animals.” It doesn't actually make it cruelty free. This isn't monitored and there are no legal definitions for this term so it could mean anything from the finished product was not tested on animals, but the ingredience used were. Or possibly that they tested on animals in the past but now they have their finished product, testing no longer happens for this product. Shady right?
Ideally you are looking for two signs. Which are The Leaping Bunny & The Peta Bunny. As you will have to apply to be accepted for these logos. However if you are unsure you can always refer to my guide below of my favourite brands or research the company by yourself, MediaPeta is a great site to do this.
Lush - ‘Fresh handmade cosmetics.’
Inika - ‘INIKA. Pure. Natural. Flawless. The organic make-up brand, trusted worldwide and the make-up choice for stylishly natural women everywhere.’
Aesop - ‘Our objective has always been to formulate skin, hair and body care products of the finest quality.’
Burt’s Bees - ‘Face, Lip & Body Care.’
Caked - ‘We don't test on animals, only boys.’
Fudge - Haircare for Ladies & Gents
Kat Von D - ‘We are bold, unapologetic, outspoken and different in our own way. We are artists, poets and lovers. We are the outsiders and the insiders.’
‘Shiseido is a company that still tests on animals, but they own 3 cruelty-free brands sold at Sephora: NARS, BareMinerals and Buxom. These 3 brands are cruelty-free themselves and are not sold in mainland China, where animal testing is mandatory for foreign cosmetics companies.’
SugarPill - ‘NEVER! Animals are for kissing and cuddling, not testing on.’
If you've been following my social medias you'll know I’ve become obsessed with my new shoes.
A few weeks ago I was working in D.Copperfield and the lovely ladies from Grenson came in. When I saw their outfits and the Annie boots they both had on I fell in love. I had to get a pair. So thanks ladies for hooking me up.
It’s so nice to find a pair of smart shoes and not be wearing trainers every day. These blue suede beauties have changed my wardrobe.
So I managed to get down to the KAWS exhibition at YSP. If you haven't been already, I would highly recommend it. We only paid about £5 for the car park then the rest of what we did was all free!
The bus which takes you to the opposite side of the park leaves every hour or so. We caught the bus to this warehouse full of huge KAWS sculptures, the hall is amazing looking out onto the rest of the park & fields. When we finished admiring the sculptures in the hall we walked a couple miles across the fields which was lovely, to the other side of the park across the river. This is where the massive KAWS sculptures stood.
I have wanted to see one of these sculptures for forever, so it was pretty surreal to see so many all at once, and take in the size and beauty of these pieces. We just found ourselves staring at them for ages, they really are even better in real life! Hope you enjoy the photos.

Images from the Black Pr event in London last weekend, alongside The Newbies. Featuring Jewellery and Clothing designers such as Victoria Irving, Mirabelle, Dilara Findikoglu & Beau Homme.
MIRABELLE
Below is the Jewellery collection by Mirabelle. Absolutely adore the stones, attention to detail and chains from this collection.
KIM KWANG
The shoe designs for this season by Kim Kwang showcase some amazing glamorous heels with the twist of the sneaker platform.
BEAU HOMME
Started up by two friends, the most eye catching thing about this seasons collection is not only the casual formal wear look, which I think they have done extremely well. But also the design on the shirt, meaning friendship, which really sums up the background of the collection.
VICTORIA IRVING
By far my favourite collection from the event. Due to the sheer simplicity in colours and shapes, contrasted by the attention to detail and fabrics.
DILARA FINDIKOGLU
This collection was so visually appealing, almost like glam rock meets old Vivienne Westwood. The embellishments and colour pallet of neutrals and strong reds, looked beautiful.
CLARA MARTIN
This collection by Clara Martin showcased fun, comfy, colourful pieces. With strong neoprene like shapes. One of the most eye catching pieces in this collection was the shorts and the way she has used layering with transparent fabrics.
Congratulations to my lovely auntie Natasha for organising the Macmillan Coffee morning and on all the money you raised! And thank you to my amazing nan who held it at her house & everyone who came along. It was very special!
In memory of some amazing people who were loved by everyone.
I Went down to visit the new Palace store in London Soho the other day. Got to see the new collection close up and some of their new pieces look sick. Especially the gold penny signet ring which looks even better in real life. The shops design is something to check out as well, the atmosphere was chilled, and the boys I spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Whilst I was in the store I thought I’d pick up a sticker pack for Murray, which little to my knowledge came sealed in an A5 weed baggie, which is a brilliant idea unless you’re about to meet your Dad for lunch. And of course I took a few shots for you guys to take a look at.
On Saturday along with hundreds of thousands, I joined in the anti-austerity march in London. I did expect to get kettled, I’ve never been to a protest before and you generally hear the worst, but that wasn’t what it was like at all.
The people were united, friendly and the day was peaceful. It was incredible to see so many people from every society, along with all the majorly influential public speakers come together and stand up for what they believe in, in such a strong spirited way. This is something that doesn’t happen on this kind of scale often enough! It was an amazing day spent standing up for what I believe in and with some of my closest friends and I will defiantly be going to the next one.
This month has been a good month, especially because all of my best friends are home from uni and its summer! Which means going to the fields, having bbq’s, drinking in the day and a lot of pub nights, and it’s made me love shooting situation portraits on my iPhone.
I’ve always been big on documentary photography and shooting on 35mm film was where I found my passion for photography. However with the style of work I’ve been commissioned for recently, I’ve been getting into using digital and playing around with editing, camera settings and setting up my imagery from the model to the background and I’ve really been enjoying it as it gives you a lot of style control.
Iphone is another medium I am loving using recently, my main aim with the portrait style images I’ve been posting recently is based around my original love for documentary portraiture mixed with my new found love for set up street style portraiture. I then tend to turn to my new favourite camera app, VSCO and it’s amazing selection of filters and the ability to edit simple elements of an image that I would normally do on photoshop. This means I can take an image, edit it and get it up to show you guys in such a short space of time, which I love as that’s how I work, on a short time schedule of shooting and editing.
If any of you have been shooting in a similar style or want to share some of your latest Instagram images with me then tag me in your posts so I can check it out @itsabbiephoto

Going for that Cholo vibe today. Been a while since I’ve worn this Burberry head scarf, used to be my sun protecting bandanna when I was about 6, love finding old treasures.
When Murray comes home from uni and I get a day off work we normally go shooting and shopping in London. Grabbing lunch in Homeslice on seven dials, possibly the bestplace and finishing off with a few drinks on south bank.
However last Saturday, as well as this thanks to a wonderful surprise from Murray I got to go up the Walki Taki building, to the Sky garden.
Something that made me and my camera super happy! I can’t explain in words how clean and magical this place was and boys, I would defiantly recommend it, she will love you for it, i promise.
You can drink in the bar, where they have the best cocktails, or eat in their two gorgeous restaurants. Both pretty expensive, but really worth it! And if you don’t want to spend loads of cash and just want to see the idillic view and garden, you can avoid the drink and food costs and go for free, as it is free for the public as long as you book super in advance. Then you can just head down and have a few bevies on the side of the thames on south bank in the sunset, thats got to be better anyway!
I honestly have to say this is one of the best days I have had in a long time, and if you want to watch the video then check Sky Garden, Murray’s latest video.
