i would never want any animal to suffer, but i am also a disabled person and a lot of life saving treatments for myself and other disabled people are only possible because of animal testing. any medication you take- animal testing. do you know what that includes? HRT. almost all prescription medications.

Its not like this alone solves the funding issues and political road blocks brought by MAGA and MAHA, but this IS a win for human health research.

Animal experiments fail majority of the time. No seriously. More than 90% of the time, they'll pass in animal trials, then fail in human clinical trials. Recent analyses suggests the failure rate may be as high as 92% to 96%. 

Alternatives like in vitro tests (human cell cultures) and computer simulations exist. All are cheaper, don't harm innocent animals, and are much more reliable.

Ban animal testing! Boycott products that have been tested on animals and opt for the alternative.
