I don’t think Kit & Sophie get enough credit for Jonsa’s reunion hug in 6x04. I was working on another Jonsa vid when I actually just sat there and rewatched the hug with the background music & sound removed.

The sharp inhale of breath from both of them when they fist lay eyes on each other, like they have been slowly drowning for years and they just got their first taste of oxygen.

The way Edd reacts to Jon’s emotional response to seeing Sansa, the way Brienne is struck by Sansa’s emotional response to seeing Jon.

Jon literally does NOT take his eyes off of Sansa, he walked down those icy stairs without a glance at them, like there was this magnetic pull just carrying him to Sansa.

Both of them are breathing and looking so intensely at one another, like if they were to blink the other would disappear before they got to touch.

Once they are in one another’s arms, it’s ok they can close their eyes, exhale deeply and soak it all in. The sharp exhale from Jon after Sansa nuzzles his face and neck is everything.

This hug was the first time two Stark siblings cousins see one another in years, it doesn’t matter that they weren’t close as children, all that matters is they have one another now. That their journeys brought them here to this moment before they unite and take back their home.
