grin   remains   spread   across   her   lips   as   she   offers   her   a   curious   look  ,   head   tilting  .    “  oh   they   can’t   be   that   bad  ,   surely  ...  ?  ”    it’s   her   first   teaching   job  ,   so   she   doesn’t   have   much   of   an   IDEA   as   to   how   parents   could   be  .    she   likes   to   believe   the   best   in   people  ,   however  ,   so   she’s   been   hoping   that   everything   will   go   SMOOTHLY   with   them  .    setting   the   last   of   the   fallen   books   down   onto   the   table  ,   she   extends   a   hand   out   towards   her  .    “  i’m   juliet  .     and   it’s   really  nice   to   meet   you  ,   honestly  .    you’re   actually  the   first   person   i’ve   talked   to   here   other   than   the   principle  ,   so   it’s   nice   to   know   there’s   some   friendly   faces   here  .   ”     she   practically   BEAMS   at   her   offer  ,    both   relieved   and   grateful   that   she   seemed   to   willing   to   help  .    glancing   around   at   the   state   of   her   room  ,    she   chews   down   on   her   lip  .     “  well   if   you   wouldn’t   mind   sticking   around   for   a   little   while  ,   i   could   use   some   help   in   getting   these   shelves   back   up  .   it   would   be   nice   to   get   the   books   up   and   secure   this   time   so   we   won’t   have   any   more   accidents  .  ”    though   she’s   mostly   TEASING   at   that  ,   a   half   embarrassed   smile   finding   her   face   once   more  .     “  so   how   long   have   you   worked   here   now  ? ”     she   asks  .    “  it   seems   like   such   a   lovely   place  .  ”

she   nods  ,    having   always   thought   FONDLY   of   her   parents  ,    even   if   she   may   have   found   them   somewhat   too   protective   at   times  .     “  oh   most   definitely  .  ”   she   says  .    “  and   i   couldn’t   really   blame   them   for   it   either  .   i   always   had   a   habit   for   getting   into   mischief  .  ”   pausing  ,   she   then   adds  :    “  psychology   at   first  ,   but   then   i   steered   more   towards   teaching  .  ”    it’s   not   the   whole   truth  ,   but   she   can’t   figure   out   a   way   to   explain   the   OTHER   degrees   she’s   done   given   the   age   she’s   currently   attempting   to   appear   as  .    taking   another   sip   from   her   drink  ,   she   smiles  ,   the   mention   of   his   daughter   eliciting   a   slight   GLOW   from   her   features  .     “  that   makes   sense  .    there   are   so   many   wonderful   things   out   here   for   her  .    do   you   take   her   back   to   the   countryside   often  ?   i’m   sure   she   must   love   it   out   there  .  ”

she   feels   sick   to   her   stomach  ,    barely   able   to   look   at   her   for   the   fear   of   FACING   all   this  ,    for   having   to   lie   to   her   again  .    it’s   her   own   fault   ,   really  .   she’s   never   been   careful   ;    always   sticking   to   the   same   name  ,    always   assuming   that   she’d   be   able   to   fade   in   and   out   of   people’s   lives   like   some   kind   of   ghost  .     but   it’s   clear   how   TERRIBLE   she’s   been   at   all   of   it  ;   hundreds   of   years   of   fun   and   adventure   all   catching   up   to   her   now  .    swallowing  ,    she   takes   a   moment  ,    having   to   try   to   compose   herself   once   more   as   she   forces   some   confidence   to   her   voice  .    “  i’m   sorry  . ”     she   says  .   “  but   that’s   simply   not   possible  .    i   mean  ,   how   could   i   have   lived   through   all   of   this  ?   these   date   back   hundreds   of   years  ,   almost  ....   it   just   wouldn’t   make   any   sense  .  ”    guilt   churns   within   her   ,    hating   the   way   she’s   having   to   try   to   MANIPULATE   her   way   out   of   this  ,    but   she   attempts   a   weak   smile   when   she   looks   to   her   ,    shifting   her   hands   away   from   the   book   so   that   she   can   bury   her   trembling   fingers   within   the   sleeves   of   her   coat  .    “  i   was   raised   in   a   small   village   in   england   and   i   moved   here   for   college  .    i’ve   worked   at   places   like   these   ever   since  .   i’m   sorry   that   i   can’t   help   you   with   this  ,   but   if   you   ever   find   out   the   mysterious   reason   behind   all   these   photographs   than   please   do   let   me   know  .    it’s   certainly   quite   fascinating  .  ”

she   can’t   help   the   smile   that   adorns   her   features   as   she   LOOKS   across   to   her  ,   intrigue   shining   within   her   gaze  .     “  well  ,   i’m   right   here   if   you’d   like   to   tell   me   whatever   it   is   that’s   on   your   mind  .  ”     she   offers  .     “  i’ve   been   told   that   i   can   be   quite   a   good   listener  .   though   i   suppose   i   have   to   be   in   a   family   like   mine  ...  ”     she   can   be   just   as   LOUD   and   chaotic   as   her   brothers   at  times   also  ,   however   .     “  gosh  ,   i’m   sorry  .   i’m   rambling   on  .   what   is   it   that’s   troubling   you   ?  ”
