Itâs hard to keep the warm smile from his face -canât have students seeing that, they might suspect he has a sense of humor. But her energy is irresistable, and its nice just to talk like friends with another x-man. Relationships become estranged when one side gives the orders -even Emma had fallen into that strange space. âYou shifted through dimensions. Are you okay? Weâll have Hank check you out just to make sure. Maybe you have space germs.â he teases. He smiles seeing the reactions of the other students to her. Already the place feels lighter with her around. âSpace dude better get his act together. Do I need to chase after him with a baseball bat? I still canât believe you were engaged. And youâre a Guardian now. Can you go back to being sixteen?â He led the way to the food counters, ordering a coffee for himself. âMhmm.â he hummed. âI think some of Kurtâs bamfs mightâve taken a favourite window ledge.â he muses arms crossed, leaning on the counter as they wait for the food. âLooks like you might have a few fans.â he nods to a group of younger kids, marvelling at her costume.
âyeah, no iâm totally fine. not opposed to seeing hank though.â      in part, because she knew it was fairly pointless to tell him not to worry. that was part of what scott did, he worried. she didnât hold that against him. shes also just, not blind to how big of a deal what she had casually, accidentally, done was..       âplease donât chase down peter. iâmore worried about logan finding out than anyone else. you now how he can get. i donât need more fuel for the fire, burn boy.â      itâs a small jab, playfully made, her smile light as she takes in the reactions of those around her. itâs odd, he feels like a real super hero, even after so long with the x-men, the guardians do seem to have given her a new glow.  or maybe that was just the mirror, whoops.   kitty orders a cup of soup for herself, her favorite, and cup of coffee as well, listening to scott as he speaks.      âmaybe we could chill in your office or something? or a class room? and donât ever wish the evil that is being sixteen on me again. i may have been cute and small but those are the horror years for girls.â     at his mention of mans she perks up, glancing over, and waving broadly, sending  them smiling, scattering, blushing, or any combination of the three.      âwell, at least the kids havenât changed while i was gone,â     she added, amused.
