stbheadmaster:
That’s good. Thank you for listening to them. It’s the best way to ensure that your recovery goes as well as possible.
Oh yes, I’m healing fine. I’ve been at home for almost two days now, which I’m really enjoying a lot. I don’t need to go in for another appointment to check on things for a week, so I’m just going to be resting until then, and seeing to the arrangements that need to be made as far as the school goes.
I’m sorry I haven’t been round to visit you yet, but I can certainly come in any time you feel up to my company.
Well, it would be rather silly to argue with a specialist on the issue. I might have known something regarding traumatic brain… injuries in the past, but… the knowledge is gone.. Hopefully only temporarily. Regardless, I trust my doctor, and Carter suggested a therapist he saw when he was struggling with amnesia. Apparently the therapist is very, very good. So I’m willing to give it a go. It will bring back painful memories, and happy ones.More pieces to add to my puzzle.
I’m very glad to hear that you’re recovering well, Sir… Nick… no. Sir Nico. I apologise. My short-term memory isn’t.. at it’s finest right now. They keep telling that it will improve, but I don’ feel as though it is. Nevertheless, I’m relieved that people are beginning to recover, and that the school is being rebuilt as soon as possible. I simply hope in the interim, those who called St… Brendan’s home will have a place to stay.
Oh– no, no. Please, don’t feel pressured to visit, Sir Nico. You’ve just had surgery, you should rest. And others from the school are here too, and have paid me visits. I’m afraid I can’t… move from my bed at the moment. I experience intense dizziness and sharp pain where I was hit when I said. Thus, I am bedridden. But my boyfriend has been nothing but a darling. Visiting me when he can. I digress– please rest, allow your body time to heal. It is the best thing to do follow surgery. i would not wish for complications to occur for you if you were out and about and overexerting yourself.
That doesn't always stop people from deciding they'd rather not cooperate, unfortunately. So I'm just glad you've made your choice to be patient and compliant. Ah yes, I've met Carter's therapist and I can vouch for him too. The man knows what he's doing and has been a great support for Carter in the past, which I certainly appreciate. I'm glad to hear it's something you're looking into for yourself.
It's quite alright. Yes well, as to that.. there have been some developments that I should be able to announce shortly. Everything seems to be coming together behind the scenes, I just need a few more final signatures, as it were, before I feel confident enough to make the information public. I'd hate to give everyone good news only to have to backtrack or something awful. Better to be patient until things are more set in stone.
I don't feel pressured, but I'd be happy to stop by if you feel up to seeing me. I'll be up at the hospital again tomorrow anyway to visit Carter and a few other people. It's entirely up to you.
