I miss the days of flip phones with little to no access to internet. I miss the days of coming home when the street lights came on. I miss the days where your friends would chap on your door to see if you were free. I miss the days when you’d be excited on a Friday night for the dodgy video man to come round so you could pick a movie for the weekend from the boot of his car for you and your friends to watch because he didn’t care about age ratings. I miss counting your cash with your friends to see if you could combine it and have enough for pizza. I miss falling asleep and waking up to the dvd menu playing. I miss finding the book you’ve been waiting for all week in the library. I miss dragging crates back to the den you made with friends for the summer. I miss coming in with new bruises from being outside. I miss long bus rides with friends and sharing earphones to listen to music.
I miss simpler times and I want to regain as much of it as possible.
