Working on this was so much fun like I cannot even begin to tell you – I’ve been chomping for this fusion for a long-ass time, and it was worth every second of hoping and wishing to be paired with the wonderful @spockfascinated, whose writing effortlessly captures the humor, sincerity, and hare-brained-ness, and love that make Hello Dolly so special to us.

This is my entry for the Star Trek Reverse Big Bang 2k19! It was based on the beautiful fan art “Robe” by my partner in crime @bowie-star-trekking (which you can see here!)

May I humbly present my entry for this year’s @startrekreversebang ? It’s fully posted on AO3 starting now. In which Jim and Spock are about to celebrate their engagement party when an emergency arises and they have to beam down to a foreign planet. This is the story of how they lose all memory of their past, manage to find each other, and fall in love all over again as they attempt to return to their world, and the Enterprise.

Synopsis:

The Enterprise has been sent on another diplomatic mission to welcome another species into the Federation. But with an admiral’s meddling and Jim coming to an ill-timed revelation, things start to quickly unravel. Further complications arise on the alien planet that test who and what Jim and Spock are to each other. Can they survive what happens, or will it break them apart?

She took my drawing and made it into a beautiful intricate story, I couldn’t have wished for anyone better to work with! Amanda Grayson of Earth came to Vulcan as an outworlder studying for a teaching certificate. She knew she wanted to contribute to her host institution, but she never expected that she would be willing to invest so much in one student - let alone that she would find herself falling in love with his father. What if her methods aren’t compatible with the ways of Vulcan, after all?
