This was such a fun comm, I was given so much creative freedom and I'm very happy with the results!!

Working titles for these are "Noodle Time" and "Bitter Work."

I love the chibi artstyles so much and the colors. Noatak and Tarrlok just vibing in a noodle shop. 🥺💖

And then Noatak and Tarrlok doing studies. It's interesting. This is a very scientific/doctor approach to the study of bloodbending I hadn't considered. I always assumed Noatak experimented on gang members to learn to take away bending, but it's a fun idea that perhaps he studied the human body at a much more sophisticated process. For example, learning how chi flows through the body through water healing methods is one way he could have developed his skill. Or how this image implies, learning through studying the dead. 👻

Who knows what Tarrlok is studying. It seems he's already a councilman here. Perhaps secret knowledge to better his blackmailing toolkit? 🤔 Or is he learning from water bending scrolls to better prepare for the inevitable clash with his nemesis? So many possibilities.

my first attempt at making some book miniatures. i couldn’t find the full book covers as a file online so i recreated them in photopea as best as i could. slapped together with some card stock, folded bits of paper, hot glue, and sealed w mod podge! i’m an earring girlie so they’re earrings 💁🏻‍♀️
