I did go to Mormon college (BYU-I) and I did meet chill people there, but I also did not know I was bi at the time because I suffer from chronic Dumb Ass Disease. Plus it was a million years ago in the before time (pre-pandemic), so I'm probably not a great person to ask.
That said, I think Mr Rogers' advice fits. He said that in scary times to always look for the helpers. There is always someone trying to do good and help. I think that's true all the time. There's always gonna be cool people to help you.
From what I understand the Helpers are pretty easy to find because they’ve had to Help loudly in recent years due to the way that BYU is.
