Hey so I'm kinda back. Probably not gonna be active that much here anymore because it has been really good for my mental health to not be on here and constantly bombarded with what's wrong in the world. My uncle also died this past week, I'm still really fucking depressed about Athena, and yeah. Still not in a good headspace. I'm going to be posting a new fic sometime soon; it's ~15k mcreyes abo and I'm done with the writing and now it's just the editing. Anywho. Popping off again for now.

Um so. I doubt anyone actually cares and that most of the people who see this post are angry with me and here to tell me that but. I’m gonna delete the tumblr app and be gone for awhile. I have become an angry, bitter person after losing Athena and I’m not exactly constructive anymore. The world is so fucking scary right now, especially where I live in the US. I can’t help but be angry, and upset and I’m not sure tumblr is conducive to my healing anymore. Anyways, be good to each other and stay safe.

Self care is blocking things that upset you, like certain tags or people.

In other news I really really wish Har would go fucking potty by her goddamn self.

By the way, you’re allowed to be upset and think that problems that are personal to you are worse than other people’s. You’re allowed to be upset about what is happening in your home country and think it’s worse than what’s happening elsewhere, because for *you* it is an imediate concern. That’s why I reacted the way I did on that post. What is happening in America right now may very well either lead to my suicide or murder, depending on what happens. It may lead to genocide, or nuclear war, or any other of many bad things and because I live in the USA that’s what matters most to me and that’s what I’m going to feel is worse, because it will deeply and irreversibly affect me and my loved ones and my country. If you live in Canada and think your problems are worse more power to you, and I believe you because that’s where you live. These are not mutually exclusive ideas. But I think it’s shitty to play the struggle olympics, especially in the times we are having right now. It’s shitty to talk about a country going through massive upheaval and grief and tell them the grief about your own and act like we’re supposed to come to the table for you. You don’t go up to someone grieving their dead mother and tell them “well my grandmother is in the hospital and she so sick and will probably die soon”. It’s also shitty to retort to that person with “Well I have it worse!” because you have no idea what they’re actually going through. We’re all going through some big time grief here and if we could stop the comparisons it would probably help out a lot and stop the fighting.

I do love that y’all are forced to show your faces and you still send nasty messages like. Fuck off. You’re the exact type of person I’m annoyed with.

Also, just so we’re clear: you come into my inbox or messages(those are turned off for now tho) uninvited and yelling at me? Or sending me link after link after link about stuff without asking? You will get blocked. For the first type, that’s self care and I don’t deal with angry assholes coming out of the woodwork. You want to talk about something, be constructive and cordial. For the second, I know you mean well but unless I specifically ask you to educate me I don’t want you to. I am an adult who can look up shit on his own. I don’t need someone coming into my inbox unprompted and info dumping at me because that’s stressful and condescending. You want to offer me an info source? Send me an ask and ask if I want it please and thank you.

I deleted my comments on that post about Canada+how things are not better there than the US. I’m still not chill with everything that was being said on that post but it was not my post to be commenting on. That post was for Canadians to talk on and for everyone else to listen. I’m sorry for being a dick.

You know. The whole Canada vs US thing right now, where Canadians are trying to go “we’re just as bad!!!11!” Is honestly very similar to the whole Tr*mp vs Biden debate here in the US. Yes, neither is great and both have problems. However one is literally a facist state. Like. Cmon guys. Use some critical thinking here.
