charlie: ewwww. ew gross. she doesn’t want to judge but—well, it tastes pretty good actually. but ewwww. 8/10

vaggi: i think she’d actually rather die than eat a person. 10/10

angel: in my beautiful mind angel is surprisingly chill about the concept of human/sinner meat. like he wouldn’t cook it himself but well. a home cooked meal is a home cooked meal. when in rome yk. 3/10

husk: husk didn’t know alastor was putting people in the gumbo until it was wayyy too late to pretend he doesn’t like his cooking. 5/10

niffty: i like to imagine niffty cooked her husband while she was alive or some shit. 0/10

cherri: kill yourself she’s not eating that. 9/10

vox: i actually do think this icks him out. maybe a controversial take. in the parallel universe where they made the partnership work i think alastor chops the pieces that are still meat off of vox’s body while he’s powered off and then feeds them to him the next day. and I don’t think vox finds this nearly as funny as alastor does. 7/10

val: eating people is just sex for gluttons. 1/10

velvette: look she’ll try anything once and she’ll probably post about it. but her sins lean a little less people-eater-y. 6/10.

Yesterday i was at a large new & used bookstore and it struck me to try to find a book i liked as a teen, which they didn't have. And then i looked it up on goodreads and the reviews i saw were like "i liked it as a kid & hated it as an adult" "i liked the grounded first half but hated the portal fantasy second half" and "i liked the fantasical second half but hated the boring first half" like. Thanks, i will either like or hate the first part, the second part or both.

#i'm assuming i'd probably still like it but who knows #iirc it wasn't the most original thing in the world but i like it enough to remember it #adulthood is full of rebuying the random books & games that fell into your lap as a kid and altered your brain chemistry lmao

One thing that i like about helluva boss is that it really does not care to make itself into something it isn't to appeal to people who would like it more if it was just a straight up gag show. Like i can imagine it being extremely off putting to spend such a large percentage of a gag-heavy short with such a sincere love letter to collaborating on creative projects but like. Who cares about the people it puts off of the show? Why make it better for other people at the cost of the people who really love it for what it is?
