I do wish that body diversity was better in hellaverse (or that major characters had the level of diversity that minor & background characters have because it EXISTS in the shows but is largely missing from the main & secondary recurring casts) but i do think it's weird that viv is the one that has to bear that cross above everyone else because i feel that way about... nearly every show with very few exceptions. I was watching the mighty nein & the apocathary diaries at the same time i was rewatching hazbin over & over and they were so stunningly full of thin thin thin characters and i never really hear a word against them. Like why am i supposed to get so mad about the jhonen vasquez hangover viv has going on when the only mildly chubby character in the apocathery diaries is a bumbling fool, and i can't think of a single human in vox machina or mighty nein or delicious in dungeon who's heavyset, except maybe the early twist villain in vm? I mean i guess i'm biased because i like all those shows. But it just feels so... telling to have been like. Banging this drum for years and the one person who's doing something kind of interesting is treated like the ultimate diversity fail when she probably wouldn't have amassed the following she has if her designs had been consistantly fat... and she IS doing other diversity. Not always well but there's an effort.
