This is an AU (titled Starlight Presents) where Paul wasn't infected in Inevitable, and he managed to get Emma to understand what was going on, saving her too. They're trapped in Pokotho's Theater along with the Infected, and loop theory is relevant here! Paul and Emma have been putting on this act for the past 7 years, since the first show. Both have gotten better at acting, and it scares them sometimes. Paul is in an unlabeled relationship of some kind with Emma. Not entirely platonic, not entirely romantic (they haven't really had time to figure any of it out.)

The closest I've gotten to talking to the audience is here, actually... I know the cheers, laughter, applause, all that, it makes it seem like they like it. I guess I'd have to ask you all that. What do you think of the show?
Another question. How in the sweet hell are you not dead? I don't mean as in how nobody knows I mean how'd you survive that grenade? Was it just a prop or did you find out grenades don't blow up like that and fling shrapnel everywhere the hard way?

I remember you! You called me your friend. I still don't know who you are... But uh... I did almost die when I did that. Pokotho is actually the reason I'm still alive. He kept me alive, and... Fixed me, I guess you could say. I remember Him saying something to the effect that He couldn't let His.. Leading Man look like that. It wasn't good for the Stage. So, He took me to this.. Pink Thing? And then the next thing I remember is having to wait for Emma to heal up from the crash, and figure out how to keep her from getting infected too... Ever since then, it's been a prop grenade though. Bad for business, or something.

That question about knowing what's outside the theatre made me start thinking about it more. Like... As long as I don't get caught, what's the harm exploring just a little bit? I guess I should bring a flashlight or something though, because of how dark it seems. Almost like it's always nighttime.

Honestly... I used to think about it a lot. Different places we could go... I think I stopped... thinking about it consistently about... month 8 into the first year. It hurt more thinking about than just.. going through the motions until we can figure it out. Kind of like how I was most of the time at CCRP, actually. I've brought up backpacking, because she liked doing it before, and she called me a geek, pushing me a little while trying not to laugh. As long as it's... quiet.. I don't think I'd mind too much. Especially not if it's with Emma. Sometimes thinking about it feels hopeless.
Oh uh- Thanks... But uh- No thanks. I don't really drink coffee anymore, apart from my one scene with Emma... The uh... That blue shit ruined it for me.

I assume you mean Pokotho's Theatre, because the other theatres He brings us to when doing shows are just like... Your normal theatre. His Theatre, though, it's... really dark outside of it. The few times I've been able to catch a glimpse past the doors, it's just like... Looking at the night sky without any stars. I've seen it most when two of these people come in, some guy in a Canadian suit, and this Person with uh... ginger hair, sunglasses, and a purple hoodie. Pokotho never really acknowledged the green eyed guy, but He talks to the other One.
Sometimes, when I'm on the stage and I look at the faces of people I used to know, I wonder what it would've been like if I'd gotten to know them more personally. If I'd tried a little harder to be friendlier and be more of a friend to people I did consider my friends. If maybe things could've been different. Sometimes⦠I wonder if this is somehow my fault. If I could've prevented it somehow.

The Professor tried to kill Ted and Emma because of what he thought was right?? I don't know, I don't really like a lot of the people I interact with.. All for different reasons.
[A boy about Richie's age enters the dressing room where you're hiding. You can tell this theater's not where he's supposed to be, but he fits right in nonetheless. He gives you a look, and that horrendous blue shit starts dripping from his right eye... but thankfully, he wipes it away.]

[He shuts the door and leans against it, trying to think of how to begin a conversation before noticing something else.]
