octavia blake could never thank their brother for all the things that heâd done for them. they could never make up all the damage theyâd done to bellamy and their relationship either. blodreina was not the happiest part of octaviaâs memory. if they could erase their entire memory of that, and everyone elses, they might be happier.Â
they didnât expect bellamy to be welcoming to them, they hadnât left off on the best of grounds âyouâre my sister o. youâre not my responsibility. not anymore.â had broken their heart, that and the fact that bellamy had admited he wanted them dead. was there a way to come back from that? hopefully. they really wanted to have a big brother again.
the door opened, his arms were around them, and the tears were instant into their eyes. she puts one hand on the back of his neck, as she had done hundreds of times before, and holds him close. âhey big brotherâŚyou canât get rid of me. not yet.â she laughs, swallowing the lump in her throat. she didnât want to let go, they didnât want to live in the reality of what was bound to happen post release. âecho told me what happened. hope didnât intend to kill me. she justâŚiâm not sure what she was trying to do. my memory is still fuzzy.â a pause. âbell, you were right.â
Bellamy closed his eyes, a tear falling from one of them as he did so. He didnât think he had it in him to be angry anymore -- not now anyway. Ever since heâd gotten his memories back, his top priority had been to find Octavia. For a bit he hadnât even known if they were alive. Their relationship would never be the way it was before Praimfaya, before Earth -- he knew that -- but he felt like maybe it was time he stopped holding onto the past, and started embracing their future. Almost losing them had taught him that.Â
As he listened to Octavia speak, it became clear they had recovered a fair amount of their memory since Echo had seen them. He was relieved about that -- as happy as he was to find his sibling alive and well, he couldnât say he had been looking forward to seeing that version of them again. His brows furrowed in confusion as they said Hope wasnât trying to kill them. She stuck a knife in them, what else could she be trying to do? It didnât make sense, but Bellamy didnât want to dwell on it now.Â
When the hug ended, he took a step back and wiped his cheek before the tear fell from his face. âYeah, mine too,â he said in reference to their fuzzy memories. âI donât remember what happened after you were stabbed.â He paused for a moment before the corners of his lips started tugging upwards. âCourse I was,â he said, jokingly, before adding in a more serious tone, âRight about what?âÂ
