"Thus they spoke. That evil counsel prevailed, and my friends untied the wineskin, and all the winds escaped with great force. Immediately a storm snatched the ships and carried them to Pontus: they wept, seeing themselves far from our homeland; and I, remembering, pondered in my innocent heart whether I should throw myself from the ship and die in Pontus, or suffer it all in silence and remain among the living. I suffered it, stayed in the ship, and, covering myself, lay down again. The ships were once more carried to the Aeolian island by the fatal storm stirred up by the wind, while all those who accompanied me groaned."
The odyssey is so freaking funny to me, and i love this part so much
Because wdym Odysseus is just so tired of his crew's shit that he even considered if it was a better idea killing himself rather than having to deal with them for more time HAHAHAS
And the crew still weep and were complaining that they were far from home again when it was their fault...
I think i understand you, Odysseus. I would have thought the same honestly 🥀
