We spent a lovely day visiting Beaufort. The third oldest town in North Carolina, it was founded in 1709 and its past includes visits from Blackbeard and fighting off an attempted invasion by Spanish privateers. I made sure to get some fried seafood and hushpuppies!

So true! Learning doesn’t begin or end at school.

I still have assignments left this semester, but my life will not be as hectic... And I will be graduating in late May!!! I have to focus on my job hunt now, but I know how important it is to accept a position that fits you. I can probably stay on my parents’ insurance even though I turn 26 in May so I am not so worried about getting a job right away. I may even go on a vacation to Europe again!

"We are a nation of many colors." This mural is located in Carrboro, NC. The children I met while volunteering there at an after-school program changed what I wanted to do with my future. Many of them were refugees and children of undocumented immigrants who had come to the US for a better life. Unlike what Trump may believe, the families I met were hardworking, committed to their children's education, and were grateful to be in the #US. I will also be conducting a research project on implementation fidelity and teacher quality in the Boston Public Schools Prekindergarten. In my research class we’ve talked about how being exposed to fewer words translates to a knowledge gap which makes learning to read more difficult. I’m excited about our class’s findings and potential implications in ECE.

Yesterday was the Sant Antoni festival in Mallorca.I had so much fun celebrating it 2 years ago in #SaPobla!
