malachite: has your muse ever done anything that they winded up feeling incredibly guilty for in the end? 

There are a good amount of things Amity feels guilt over that she had done, but most of those things are mainly unwarranted as it’s guilt she feels reserved for her parents. However, there is one thing that she has done in which Amity still feels the most guilty over, and it’s the treatment of two former close friends of hers. The first one being that of Willow, as to this day Amity wished that she had never broken their friendship off and treated her as harshly as she had done. She knows that it wasn’t her own fault as it was more due to her parents threatening to do something to Willow if Amity continued her friendship with the other girl, but Willow was the first person who Amity genuinely felt like she could be her true self with and yet after she barely turned seven, her parents wanted Willow out of Amity’s life and to do so, Amity had to act like she didn’t actually care, that Willow was nothing more than someone who was beneath her and who would never amount to anything in life. She allowed other people to even bully her, as she herself had done, and for that Amity doesn’t think she could forgive herself. And then there’s Ariel. After losing Willow, Amity thought she could at least have them by her side because at least the Triton name was one her parents didn’t mind being associated with, but unfortunately Amity couldn’t even have that as the moment Ariel came out as non-binary, her parents once again thought that Ariel wasn’t fit enough to being Amity’s friend. And just like with Willow, she had no choice but to cut them off regardless of how doing so would’ve made her feel. But she never picked on Ariel the way she use to with Willow...but that doesn’t make Amity’s guilt over losing a close friend like them hurt any less. Hopefully one day they both can fully forgive her for what she had to do. @littletriton

frost blue: does your muse enjoy the snow and cold? or are they the type to enjoy summer more?

Neither, as she is more of an autumn person than anything. But if she had to make a choice, than I will have to go with summer. Amity isn’t one who enjoys being all bundled up with heavy coats, earmuffs, and gloves, as well as she hates not being able to feel the blood within her fingers or whenever her twin siblings takes advantage of whenever it snows and tries to snow it at her. And don’t even get her started with the ice! It’s just not as fun as many people likes to make it out to be, and so she would much rather deal with the warmer temperature than that of the colder one.

crimson: how passionate is your muse about the things they love most?

vermillion: is your muse courageous, or would they consider themselves to be more of a coward? 

This is a little complicated to answer just because for the most part, Amity would claim that she doesn’t have an ounce of cowardliness within her. But the reality of it is that she does, and a lot more than she is willing to admit out loud. When it comes to the typical things people are afraid of, say the dark, bugs, heights, or even getting inflicted by physical pain, then the answer is a clear no, she isn’t a coward as none of these things scare her. She would be more than fine with them, in fact, so you might wonder then what makes her a coward then? Easy, her parents. Amity’s parents are terrifying people to say the least, and ever since she was very young, Amity knew that she couldn’t disobey them or go against their word without receiving the consequences. They are the reason why she has to hide a lot about her true self from others and why she needs to put up a facade of being unbothered.

burnt umber: how stable is your muse, mentally and/or emotionally? 

I think Amity is a little less mentally stable than even she herself believes she is all due to the influence of her own parents. After being brought up with so many expectations, and having her life delegated in a way in where if she took one new different approach to it, her parents will make sure to display how disappointed they were of her until she goes back into the ‘perfect’ mindset they wanted her to be in. But thankfully, after meeting Luz and seeing that there was something wrong in the way she was living as a person, Amity has mentally gotten better. Emotionally too, as currently she is in a much better place than she had been before Luz ran into her life. But years of emotional and mental abuse is hard to get rid of, as even now Amity still does things to appease her parents even when deep down she doesn’t want to do them. 

raspberry: what food and/or drink can your muse not get enough of? do they indulge in it often, or is it something reserved for special occasions?

Wow, super helpful. Timmy was thankful she wasn’t looking at him because he was sure she might be able to hear his eyes rolling anyway. “It’s not the subjects, it’s me. And the fact I’m apparently a dumb ass.” Not that he didn’t already know he was stupid, but he could drive this bit of self-awareness home. “Yeah, wow, gee…never heard that one before.” Busting out the sarcasm early today, Turner.

The most of a reaction that was made was her brows raising high as she curved a line. “You actually know where you stand? That’s a surprise.” Not really, she didn’t know him nor actually cared whether he knew if he was smart or not, but it was a interesting to hear him admit to it when not many would've done so. “I’m not trying to be mean here, you know, just reminding you of a fact.” Amity shrugged at his sarcasm. “Besides, drinking a strong energy drink won’t do you much if you need help focusing.”

Despite how she may initially come off, Amity’s a good person at heart. Yes, she’s a bit too proud and still mean at times, but she has a soft side to her that she doesn’t often show to others unless you can warm your way to her comfort zone in order for her to show it. She’s also very dorky too, which is a side of her that Amity really tries not to let too many people see.

Amity’s favorite book series would forever be The Good Witch Azura, and not because she shares that passion for reading it with Luz (they even formed a book club in honor of that series back when they were still in high school), but because it revolves around one thing that has peaked Amity’s interest the most— magic.

It may not be as noticeable as Luz’s interest in it, but ever since she was a little girl, there was something well, enchanting about magic that always had Amity’s interests and it only grew once she discovered that there were people within the island who can actually do magic.

In fact, when she first learned about Eda and how Luz became her apprentice, Amity will have to admit, she was jealous of her for a good while and her ability to perform spells by drawing symbols against a piece of paper. Amity herself had tried to do that once, but nothing happened much to her own disappointment. But her interest in it never once wavered despite that and the longer she continues to discover herself, the more she wants to try and find ways to perform herself.

This eventually leads to Amity buying an unsolicited magic wand and book titled ‘Magic 101’ in where it grants her the ability to cast spells that she normally wouldn’t be able to do, and it’s without her needing to draw them like Luz does! But not too many people knows about that wand with the exception of a select few, which unfortunately for Amity, does pertain her snoopy older siblings.

Speaking of her older siblings, Emira and Edric are very annoying especially whenever they’re together (which is like all the time) and it doesn’t help that they like to pick on Amity whenever they have the chance to and likes to call her ‘Mittens.’ Amity HATES being called ‘Mittens’ but that never stops them. Yet what is most annoying about them is that their parents think Emira and Edric are the perfect children who can never do any wrong, yet whenever their backs are turned, they are always causing some kind of havoc that more often than not, leads to Amity’s expense.

But she does love her sister and brother and she knows that they do care for her as well…they just have a weird way of showing it. A very annoying way, but she won’t hesitate now to kick them out of her room or vent her frustrations out on them whenever she has to.

One aspect of magic that Amity really enjoys reading about is the creation of abominations. She doesn’t understand why that, though she does like all types of magic, but the idea of making her own abomination one day, if ever, is very compelling.

Breaking her friendship with Willow will still be the hardest thing she has ever done and one of the worst things at that, even though she was able to reconcile with her, to this day Amity wished she could’ve fought harder over their friendship. She also severely regrets how she use to treat Willow even though Willow eventually forgave her for that.

Rather than owning a normal diary, Amity likes to do a video dairy the events that occurred throughout her day in where she privately keeps to herself. All of her video logs are uploaded and set to private on a YouTube account that she has under a different email from the standard one she uses, so her siblings won’t find them (which is why she began video logging since they liked to find her diary and read it) or anyone really. It doesn’t help that Amity is also SUPER HONEST within her video logs, like really honest to the point where she admitted calling a teacher mom once.

Also speaking of a secret email, Amity also has two Instagram accounts, one in where she has it public and open to her friends and family, and another for her more personal and nerdier interests that is under the name: WITCHCHICK128. Only her friends mainly has access to it and very few others who Amity doesn’t see everyday but share similar interests to her.

Amity is actually a bit of a sports buff, as back in high school she use to be part of the rugby team and was even the team captain for her first two years in playing it. She ended up stepping down and quitting when she accidentally got a girl hurt during one of their games and haven’t played it officially unless she was doing it just for fun with her friends.

Not only does she really love to read, as The Good Witch Azura isn’t the only book she likes to read, but at least once a week, Amity would go to the library and volunteer to read a book to little kids. At first, she made the excuse that she does it for extra credit, but it’s something that she really enjoys doing to this very day and has a bit of a soft spot for little kids.

Though she does not enjoy losing even to this day, if she rightfully looses and the other didn’t cheat, than Amity would take it with honor and integrity even though she knows her parents wouldn’t be happy about her lost. But if not….she will lose it.

Despite her looks, Amity is not someone who likes to cheat or do any criminal activity unless she is dragged into doing so, or if she knows that it won’t lead to any severe and tarnishing consequences.

It’s ironic that Luz is Eda Clawthorne’s apprentice, because it so happens to a Amity’s idol is Eda’s older sister, Lilith Clawthorne. Lilith has been her idol for as long as Amity could remember and she still is, she’s who Amity would like to aspire to be one day.

Whenever she gets mad, her face always turns bright red and she has the habit of holding her breath in, which almost makes her passes out.

Is really good at drawing and has been getting better at it throughout the years, so being able to learn more techniques in college is helping her a lot with her art skills.

Amity’s natural hair color is brown, but for so long now, she has been temporarily dying it different colors whenever she feels like. The only time she has permanently dyed it a different color was when she decided to go a dirty blonde. But her favorite temporary color to dye her hair as is green. Mint green to be exact.

The longer Amity gets to know Luz, the more she realizes that she likes her than just as a friend. But the thing is, until meeting Luz, Amity completely thought that she was straight since she had a few boyfriends in the past. Granted, most were boys her parents approved off, but even as she began to distance herself from their hold, Amity still dated guys than she did with girls. But she can’t deny that she doesn’t feel some time of way whenever she see’s Luz.

In fact, after it had hit her that she liked Luz, it took Amity a long time before she could speak coherently around her and even to this day, she get’s nervous whenever around Luz and tries not to say anything dumb or weird to her while getting flustered.

But Luz isn’t the only reason why Amity is realizing that she likes girls, it just so happens that her newfound crush on her is what opened the gates to Amity seeing other girls in a new light (like she will admit that Willow is also super cute even though that is the farthest she would think of her as) and at the possibility of dating them But at the same time, Amity is also very unsure about doing that, mainly because she doesn’t know what her parents would think if they find out that maybe Amity liked girls more than she did boys.

That being said, Amity is not a full blown lesbian yet even though she is realizing that she has more of a romantic interests towards girls over boys, as instead, she will soon identify herself as polysexual, and is attracted to many people regardless of whether they are a boy or a girl but not everyone. But mainly girls. Amity really likes her girls.

Amity is also better at talking to any guy she likes even if she has a small crush on them, than compared to when she speaks to any girls she has an attraction too because usually she becomes a flustered and jumbled up mess who can’t even form a complete sentence around them before freaking out. She hates it.

As more open as Amity is, she still feels like she can’t show any weakness at times and so there will be days where Amity doesn’t display the correct emotions or acts emotionless because of it.

Entering college and choosing her major had to be one of the more apparent moments of Amity doing something for her own self. She knew long before even starting high school, that her wanted her to major in politics so they can reinforce her path in becoming a politician like them, and admittedly, Amity was set and ready to do that. But once the time came to pick an actual major, she realized there was another that caught her interest— visual arts.

Amity always had an affinity to drawing, as she formally would secretly do so whenever no one else was around in the past but became more open with her artwork throughout the years, but never fathomed that as a possible career for herself until one of her friends brought up that she could major in visual arts if she was serious about it. And with that thought in mind, Amity couldn’t help but consider it. But she also didn’t want to disappoint her parents by picking visual arts when they were firm on politics, so eventually Amity was able to come to a decision. She’ll dual major in both politics and visual arts. That way, she could do what she’s passionate about and her parents can’t find fault in her choice when she was still doing what they wanted of her.

Of course her parents weren’t so proud that she picked a second major, but they also did ended up praising her for be diligent enough to take on two majors for herself even though those praises were also at the expense of being subjected to her older siblings teasing after their parents backs were turned. Not only that, but it was still expected of Amity to work harder now that she is majoring in two different things, as even in her art classes, her parents expected nothing less than the top marks from her. Fortunately, even after all these years, Amity’s marks has yet to falter since that day she met Luz.

Majoring in visual arts made Amity happy and she felt even happier whenever Luz brought up the possibility of them creating their own fan comic of their favorite book series, The Good With Azura. Amity always tells her its a possibility, but she really wouldn’t mind ever doing that with her. Amity would literally do anything if it was with Luz.

Another thing that changed for the better for Amity nowadays was that she was a lot less mean to people as she formally was. She cut all tries with any of her former ‘friends’ who were nothing but toxic once she reconciled with Willow, and not once has Amity looked back from doing so even though her old friends were extremely displeased by this. And yes, her popular status had decreased as well, but Amity found that she didn’t really mind that as much. She did still have some control over the school as even in college, she’s still something of a teacher pet and is still highly respected by her professors and the principle, but she doesn’t take advantage of that power like she would’ve back before she met Luz.

Amity is still somewhat of a braggy person though, still finding satisfaction whenever she receives her grades and the praises that came with them whenever she bests everyone else within her class. But she is much more mindful about how she does it, and the same can be said with how she treats others as well. Yes, she is still a bit mean especially if she doesn’t know the person much, but she’s been trying to be much more willing to interact with others even if they were viewed as someone whose beneath her.

Since the moment she was born, there’s been high expectations for Amity to live up to the prestigious Blight family name. After all, with both her parents being powerful and well known politicians around the island, it was expected for Amity to not only follow after their foot-steps in becoming a future politician herself, but to live up to the Blight family name and the greatness that comes with it by constantly being the best of the best.

This meant her life was precisely designed and delegated in a way where there would be no possible chance of Amity ruining things. This consist her parents having the official say in who she’s allowed to spend her time with, how she should be presented to the public eye regardless of whether she was comfortable with that certain imagine herself, and to always have the highest marks in within each of her classes meaning that Amity couldn’t receive nothing less than an ‘A’ or a ’95’ in any of her work unless she wanted her parents to reprimand her for trying to tarnish their name.

And for the most part, that was the way Amity lived. She made herself believe that she was okay with the life her parents designed for her and even thought she personally wanted this life for herself because for the most part, she did enjoy being the best of the best.

Amity lived for the praises she received for always being the top student in her class and the respect she had from her teachers, she was popular among her peers and anyone who ever thought to defy her would soon learn to regret ever doing so and follow along to her control not long after, and overall, her parents seemed to be proud and happy with all the work Amity was able to successfully achieve. It seemed like their desires and wants for her future would be achieved.

And then Luz Noceda moved to Corona and everything Amity worked so hard to achieved was flipped on it’s head and things weren’t as consistent and normal for her anymore.

In any other case, Luz would’ve been someone who Amity would ignore and never give the time of day to. She was a nobody to her and certainly wasn’t someone who had enough power to destroy the highly regard social status that Amity has, and yet, Luz become someone who was a thorn to Amity’s side.

Not only did the day Amity ended up meeting Luz was when the other girl had snuck into her high school thanks to the aid of Amity’s former best friend, Willow, but she also ended up tarnishing Amity’s streak in being the top student in her school for an entire week all because Luz was helping Willow achieve it. It was aggravating and Amity lost it! For that entire week, she hunted Luz, Willow and their other friend, Gus, down because she could not stand for the unsolicited help Willow was receiving by Luz when without her influence, the status quo wouldn’t have changed, but even more so, she couldn’t allow her parents finding out about this because she knew if they had, they wouldn’t be pleased at the slightest.

Unfortunately for Amity, her parents did still ended up finding out because they always have a way of knowing about things like this, though Amity would put the blame on her older twin siblings, Emira and Edric, in informing them about it but she would like to think they weren’t that cruel so it’s possible someone else had informed them about it instead.

Not only were her parents displeased with Amity’s spot as top student was tarnished, but they also had demanded her to never be near that Luz girl again and if she did, she would have to show Luz where her actual place was unless they have to force their hands to do so themselves.

Amity fully believed she could handle the Luz situation herself and was even firm on hating the other girl after what she had done, but turns out life was full of surprises and as much as Amity disliked Luz at first, the more times she found herself running into her and slowly getting to know her, the more she realized that Luz wasn’t so bad after all. Not when it was so difficult to stay mad at someone who tries her hardest to make amens with her and even wanted to befriend her.

But while Amity started to form a slow friendship with Luz, she also knew that she couldn’t allow her friendship with her get back to her parents. Not after they made their threats on what they could do to her and especially not when she knew they were serious about fulfilling it.

At least, Amity kept her friendship with Luz a secret at first, but after Luz enrolled to her high school and the more she spent time with her, Amity slowly began to open herself up more. In ways she hadn’t imagined that she could, and in the same process, she found herself realizing something. Maybe the life her parents wanted her to have wasn’t one she wanted for herself.

As content as she may seem, there were things about Amity’s life she never fully agreed to, her past friendship with Willow being one of them as up until her seventh birthday, Willow was actually Amity’s best friend and a prominent positive figure in Amity’s life in where she could let herself go. But her parents never agreed to Amity befriended Willow, and like how they threatened to hurt Luz, they had threaten to do the same with Willow and as much as it pained Amity to cut-ties with her and even start picking on her for being beneath her, she had to do it. But she always lived to regret ever doing that, which is what makes her newfound friendship with Luz that much better for Amity because befriending Luz lead a bridge to Amity making amens with Willow, and they were able to patch things up.

Eventually, Amity began to be so much more open with herself and how she runs her life in comparison to what her parents wanted. She even stopped fearing (for the most part) what they might do to Luz because not only did she have faith that Luz could handle herself, but Luz even had that Owl Lady, Eda, by her side and Amity realized that if she had to, she’ll fight for Luz too. She’ll fight for anyone who turned out to be important to her.
