so like when are people gonna stop treating nonbinary people as “moving closer to their opposite gender”. like a nonbinary person will have transitioned from being masculine and people will call them nonbinary transfem. as though gender is a linear slider that nonbinary people fall in the center of. its in the name, nonbinary, NOT BINARY. NOT OF THE BINARY. YET YOU KEEP PUTTING THEM IN THE BINARY. a masculine person who becomes nonbinary isn’t “moving toward femininity”, a feminine person who becomes nonbinary isn’t “moving towards masculinity”. if you are nonbinary and that is how you personally feel that your gender is best described, thats rad and awesomesauce. but thats not how a large amount of nonbinary people view themselves and being put into the masc-fem box is restrictive and inaccurate. break out of the box.

pls support trans girls and trans women who like traditionally masculine things

reading Alchemised and Algospeak at the same time is crazy because I really thought I could have told you which one would piss me off more but alas. it's Algospeak. SenLinYu may be a fanfic writer who scrubbed off the serial numbers to go trabpub but Adam Aleksic insists on calling himself an influencer and it turns out I do respect that less.

I guess if nothing else this did drill pretty directly to the most grating thing about his book (as someone not familiar with any of his tiktok work), which is his tendency to point out linguistic trends he's noticed with absolutely no political analysis attached at all

the thing is that it felt so half-baked form the jump because Aleksic would be saying things like "yeah influencers who have or can approximate American or British accents (as long as they're the most "correct" and palatable American or British accents) do way better than any other content, so a lot of people stop using their native accents and try to sound more Western" and you the reader think okay well that's horrifying but Aleksic as the author just goes "isn't that interesting? well anyway, moving on!" like yeah man it is interesting, in a really awful way. would you like to comment on it at all?

idk I can tell that some tumblrinas are not up on fat politics because I see a lot of people saying stuff like “it’s better to be a little fat than waste your life trying to be thin” or like “it’s chic to have a little belly” like okay but there are fat people who are “a lot fat” and have “a lot of belly” which everyone is weirdly silent on all the time. Like the fattest person on earth still deserves to exist in human society with joy and dignity regardless of how they got to that weight or how many health conditions they have as a result of their personal actions…that should be everyone’s baseline here I’m not really sure what’s complicated about it

additionally even if i was "a little" fat I DONT WANT TO BE CHIC I WANT MEDICAL CARE AND PLANE SEATS THAT FIT ME YOU DUMB FUCKS 😭 like ohhh you think curvy girls with a little belly are oh so hot? first of all if you saw the fat people i want to fuck you would kill yourselves but more importantly, there is genuine discrimination. people are getting hurt. people are dying. people are starving their children so they dont *become* fat. get on board with real fat liberation. like clothes that fit would be nice too but can we stop killing people with medical neglect or hate crimes as well? pls?
