A Look Into My Life

I remember meeting you, and thinking that you were so put together. It seemed like even though things weren’t perfect for you, it was almost like you were completely okay with certain aspects of your life being in disarray. You were doing you, and that’s such a vulnerable thing to do all by yourself. But you, you made it look so damn good, and I can remember relating to that so incredibly much that I felt it in my fucking soul. It was like two strays that met on accident and fell hard for each other. It was the saddest, but most beautiful comfort I’d ever known. Someone else you didnt have to give a justifying explanation to. Sure, there were different reasons and background stories that led our various relationships with people and family to be the way that they were, but it was that little gray area that did it for us. That subtle, unspoken, little gray area most people don’t spend a lot of time in, and where the outcome is still so similar to one another. And that’s the part of life where we ran into each other. That’s the part that has taken hold of me. The part full of uncertainty. The part when you’re simply still trying to figure shit out. But now you have this beautiful person in your life, and all you want to do is make all their worries and doubts vanish. Because somehow, they were able to do that so effortlessly for you by just existing.
