Alright Tumblr. I've been MIA for a while now. But I've been busting tail making my website and blog! And I'm SO happy with how it has come out so far. At the risk of sounding artsy fartsy, I just started with my logo and went from there. So the site developed pretty organically.
But with the exception of a few tweaks here and there I think I'm done. Whew.

Making a website is proving way beyond my ability right now. Maybe not that I'm not intelligent enough, but that my time and patience is SO limited right now that I can't do it. I get frustrated and give up.
I wish I could just pay someone do use all of the things I've created. Maybe I'll draw it up and see if I can find someone to do that. Ugh.

Business is growing so much faster than I anticipated. So much. I expected June to be one of my slower months. So far I'm helping with 2 weddings, signing a contract possibly 2, and have several shoots booked. I'm doubling my busiest month so far and June hasn't even started. I'm so flabbergasted. And happy.
Back when I lived in Chicago and made very poor life choices I was given a gift certificate for a day of beauty at a spa. I got an herbal body wrap, a relaxation massage and a seriously kick ass recipe for Parmesan Couscous.
The only time I’ve ever ripped a recipe out of a magazine that did not...
I need to remember this. I always have a hard time making sides!

Oh goodness. I did a baby wearing session the other day and I'm beyond in love with these photos.

Sales tax was due today! I forgot to pay. Glad that I could online... Procrastination at it's finest. I get the papers in the mail on the first, have till the end of the 20th to pay. Wait until 10:50pm on the 20th to remember. My father in law handles the delinquent accounts for the parish, so I have to be sure to never forget. And it's not like I don't have the money. I only pay myself $300 a month and keep the rest in the business account... I just genuinely thought today was the 18th. Pahahaa.

We are full swing in the hitting, biting, tantrum throwing stage to toddler-hood. I'm not sure how to handle this. When someone does something she doesn't like she hits. Or bites if she gets mad enough. Or just randomly bites me. Ugh.
My adorable, sweet, tiny little girl is getting SO big (even though her doctors tell me how small she really is). She's insanely independent and strong willed. And she knows what she wants and doesn't want, and when she wants it to happen. Oh man, are we going to clash with the same personalities.
I couldn't be happier though, I have my faults, but I LIKE who I am. I just hope Chloe finds herself a lot sooner than I did, and it's a hard personality to manage. Finding the 'middle' ground is tough, and I wasn't very good at it for a long time. Hopefully I'll be able to guide her so she doesn't have the same problems I did with who I am.
Okay. I need to go hug on her some while she's still kind of tiny.
What color/how should I redo my dresser? 3 walls will be cream with one being a dark purple color. Dresser will be on cream wall. Go!
Bedroom colors and comforter?
My feet hurt so stinking bad. 8 hours standing, taking photos. I used to do that all day long when I was at Dillard's. 2 years of being gone (and aging) has made me soft. I'm investing in a pair of black tennis shoes before my next wedding on the 3rd.

Do not ask your children to strive for extraordinary lives. Such striving may seem admirable, but it is the way of foolishness. Help them instead to find the wonder and the marvel of an ordinary life. Show them the joy of tasting tomatoes, apples and pears. Show them how to cry when pets and people die. Show them the infinite pleasure in the touch of a hand. And make the ordinary come alive for them. The extraordinary will take care of itself.
