if they have this with a WHITE ID card in it (always ask them to pull out an ID card) they cannot use force to bring you back into the store so continue walking your pretty ass (preferably take a train or bus before they call real security lol)

if they have this ID card, sadly they can use reasonable force to bring you back into the store, but only with reasonable suspicion.

if they have an sort of lp badge in this type of wallet, sorry girlie they can use force on you (but reasonable) like grabbing your bag and not letting go, they cannot touch you whatsoever (same with blue id) they can only touch you once you start fighting back .

and last off all if they pull out this with their police id just pray you aren’t gonna get arrested lol

someone had asked me for tips on lifting at boots so i thought i’d make a post about it !

please remember it will definitely depend on your store, as not all stores are the same, i’m talking from my own personal experience on boots.

scope out the store before you lifting. go a week before you plan on lifting, check for cameras, (in my one we have loads of cameras so be aware of them) is there lp ? plainclothed lp ? how many sa is there ? are they busy or just kinda standing around ? where are they mostly; the high end makeup stalls or elsewhere ? you get the jist :)

first time lifting from boots ? okay that’s fine ,, it isn’t as scary as you may think it is !! i recommend using the jacket technique, if you don’t know what that is, i’ll link a post with it for you. that’s probably the best and easiest you can use in boots. but if you want palettes, you can use the scarf over handbag technique ! again i’ll link it.

dress like a basic middle class bitch. don’t dress alt, don’t dress like you don’t care about your appearance, dress like you mean shit ! people are more likely to let you go on “shopping” without feeling like you’re doing anything wrong.

okay now you should be in boots. act confident !! don’t act shy and anxious, lp/sa are more likely to know what you’re about to do.

whatever you grab, get two of it, take the tag off it it’s got one, conceal one (in a blindspot !!!) and put the other back, bam you did the first part ! don’t take too much, it makes it harder for other lifters.

now keep being confident, you’re a badass queen/king and you fucking know it !!

now you leave. if the towers go off, act a little confused BUT DONT STAY AROUND !!! LEAVE !!! YOU DONT WANNA GET CAUGHT !!!

don’t look at your items until you’re home/far away from the store, lp will probably use cameras from around the area if they thought you lifted (especially if it’s a mall).

okay that’s all :)) please remember to do what’s best at your own store. and take breaks !! don’t go back for 3-4 weeks.

i need advice!

so, my local cl4ires is literally tiny like the same size if a bit bigger than my bedroom icl.

i really want something from the hp section but it's LITERALLY the wall opposite the cashier's.

bit more info: there's pretty much always only two workers from what I've seen, both at the register, idk if there's any in the staff area though. I also don't think there's cameras but idk?
