Murdoc dragged you with him just about everywhere. Interviews, shows, on tour, shopping, pretty much everything you wouldn’t NEED another person for, he had you attached to his hip. To the point you were sure it was more for emotional support than anything else, like you were a service dog or something. 

Though, he would never simply hold your hand, not Murdoc. Instead, it would be an arm lazily thrown over your shoulders, his hand shoved into the back pocket of your jeans, splayed over your hip, etc. He wanted you close to him at all times, but not out of jealousy, more so because it gave him something to do. When he’d lose focus, which was often, you could bet he was murmuring some crude joke to you or fondling you wherever he wanted. Even during interviews, you’d generally start off to the side and out of the way, and somehow end up in a tangle of limbs on his lap by the end. Generally, the consensus by now was that it wasn’t a problem if you didn’t get in the way of the interview questions. This rule in particular had given Murdoc the opportunity to make a game of it, and on more than one occasion there were unused audio recordings out there of him getting you to gasp or squeal or the like during an interview if he was feeling particularly playful that day. They generally cut around those bits. 

All this dragging you about would have caused problems for anyone else, death threats from crazed fans and the like, but even with all of this, you managed to maintain anonymity. Oftentimes in the form of a disguise of some kind, or hiding in plain sight, pretending to be part of the production team or a PA or something. 

Though, naturally, you have had your fair share of close calls. Award shows specifically, or when you and the band went out for drinks and the like. Murdoc got bored fairly easily, especially at prestigious events, so oftentimes he would duck out, you in tow, to a bathroom or supply closet or the like to cure his sudden boredom. And naturally, you two have almost been caught on a multitude of occasions, resulting in some nasty press, but it was all water off the great Murdoc Niccals’ back, especially if it meant he could spend time with you. 

Now Murdoc was not a jealous man, not the slightest bit. In fact, he WANTS people to look at you, to look at what he’s got. That being said, while you were certainly his main fling (lived with the band at Kong, slept in his bed every night, were commonly referred to by outsiders as “Murdoc’s girl” as opposed to your real name, were escorted with the band everywhere), he didn’t much care for monogamy. He was a ROCK STAR, he was supposed to settle down? Naturally not, of course. So while you were granted backstage access to every show, occasionally he’d be leaving with someone else. He even encouraged you to do the same. It didn’t bother you as much as you thought it would, because at the end of the day, he always came home to you, and that’s what mattered most in your mind. The one time you did bring another guy home, he had only greeted him in the morning, made a crude joke about what a lovely lay you were, clinked coffee mugs with him, and pressed on like it hardly mattered. To him, it didn’t matter. He knew he was yours in the end and you were his. It wasn’t something that needed saying aloud, either. It was inherent to the two of you. 

Yes, he was WHIPPED. You knew that for certain when after your first big fight, he was the one to reach out to you. It wasn’t a real apology, and you certainly deserved better than his phony excuses, but he hadn’t just forgotten you and moved on like he did with most girls. He liked you enough to try. So, against your better judgement, you’d heard him out. Since that day, it seemed like every day he got a little better. A little better at reading you, at respecting your boundaries, at apologizing when need be. Because to him, you were worth it. So while there were plenty of birds in the sky for Murdoc Niccals to play around with, you were always the one that really meant something to him.
