This. Amazing. Woman. I just saw Nolan's Odyssey, and there is no word that can describe how much I ABSOLUTELY ADORE Circe's character and the completely valid and justifiable crashout she had on all of Odysseus's men.

There really is something to be said about how she turns men into lions, tigers, and other animals that HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HARM AND KILL HUMANS because the danger those animals pose pales in comparison to the danger that the men they once were are capable of. She feels safer living with man-eaters than with actual men, and can you blame her after everything she's been put through?!

And you gotta love the line "go back to your disguises," which she said as she was turning the pigs back into Odysseus's crew, and what that line says about all of them and how she sees the world because of all the terrible things men like them have done.

"We do not have the responsibility of making gay life look good to straights so that they will accept us. I am not at all interested in promoting a cleaned up image to a straight world which is twice as corrupt and ten times as sick."
