Dee is the Surveillance Devil. A child of the Control Devil in the same way Tank and Gun are children of War. Anyone within a certain radius feels intense paranoia and anxiety, he can also read someones mind if he touches them or focuses hard enough within a certain radius. The fear of surveillance is pretty prominent, I think it fits. Things like the Cold War and digital surveillance make him stronger, he's a huge fan of technology and cameras. I have no other ideas right now. Oh! Wait, his pupils are video cameras.
I was thinking Gustav could be Control and Glam could be Death, so they'd just have the canon devil powers that those characters have. Lydia could be War, I guess, but I'm really not sure. In that case, Mary could somehow be Fami and they could be the four horsemen.
Victoria could be Violence maybe? I always start concepts and never think them through entirely. Heavy could take Denjis place, I dunno if Lif should be a Devil or just work for Public Safety. Wilhelm just works for Public Safety, I dunno which Devil he'd have a contract with, maybe Justice or maybe Dee. Anna also just works there. I came up with Dee and then couldn't think of anything else, that's my bad guys...

I just had a conversation with my sister, but when you think about it, it was actually Dee and Heavy (genius):
It was Heavys turn to do the dishes, but it seems every time one of them has a chore to do, the other happens to need water or a snack at the very same time and the two end up having a gossip session. Or, rather, Heavy gossips. Dee doesn't have the friends.
"—So then Oliver got off the bus — and Oliver is Lauras ex, right? — And I barely know Oliver, but Oliver is friends with Jason, who I also barely know, but they're both friends with Connor, okay? Do you know who Connor is? I've talked about him before" Heavy rambles, having turned the sink off ages ago. When the two are together, Heavys job always ends up taking twice as long. Dee's better at multitasking.
"I have no idea who any of these characters are," Dee attentively listens despite not caring for the relationship status of any of these strangers. Knowing and interacting with this many people seems like a huge burden, it sounds tiring. And Dee genuinely cannot think of anything worse than willingly going outside in this heat. There's no point if he'll have to take a seat every few minutes to avoid passing out. "Keep talking."
Heavy suddenly realizes that he's supposed to be doing the dishes and turns the water back on. "Well, Connor dated my friend. He was going on and on about how much game he has but Curly says most people only talk to him because he has a vape." Any minute now, their mother is going to walk in and tell them to stop wasting water and that the dishes shouldn't take 30 minutes to do. And she'll be right! But the two can only ever manage this kind of gossip over chores. "But anyway, Oliver gets off the bus and it turns out that Laura stole Oliver from my friends friend Maya, and Maya is with us, right? So Oliver follows us to the next bus but Mayas dad is a cop, okay? So basically what happens is..."
Dee really would love to pay attention but he has never heard of any of these people in his life. He's finished the water he came downstairs to grab and he's trying really hard to look attentive because he really does want to have a conversation, he can't just sit around in his room all day reading books and watching shitty anime, he'll go insane or give himself depression or something. If only the people around him were more interesting. Dee zones back in after a long few minutes of paying close attention to his facial expressions.
"... And karaoke was fun but I'm still pissed at the Chinese lady who scammed us!" Heavy dramatically shouts.
Dee is a little caught off guard. "Pardon? Context?"
"I'm not being racist," Dee never accused him of being racist, this defense raises suspicions, "We were at a Chinese restaurant, it's relevant. She gave us all these fucking fortune cookies, she kept giving us more and more, and then she revealed that they aren't free? What!? So what'd you give us all these fortune cookies for!?"
If only Dee could give less of a shit. He does love his younger brother, he enjoys listening to these rambles, but maybe, he realizes just now, he doesn't give a shit about the rambling and just likes that his brother trusts him? Or some corny shit like that, how should he know? He'd love his brother more if his stories weren't profoundly boring. A half-assed, barely-on-topic reply is all he can think of, "If you read the fortune before you eat the cookie, it doesn't come true." he offers up.
Heavy looks shocked, "Then what'd I eat all those cookies for? Are you serious? Bro, I am not getting a single fortune, we spent $14 on nothing!"
"You spent $14 on fortune cookies? Are you stupid?"
headcanon that Dee feels dizzy really easily. If it's a little too hot or too cold, or too loud but if it's too quiet his ears start ringing and he feels dizzy anyway, sometimes he just feels lightheaded for no reason. But when his vision goes black he just keeps walking because it'll go away, but sometimes it doesn't so he either concedes and sits down wherever he's standing or he just collapses. But lollipops and salt & vinegar chips help. Not projecting or anything.
Headcanon that when Dee likes something, he knows it. Like, he's read the Higurashi manga and read the visual novel, he's read the Death Note manga and the side stories and stuff, he continued watching My Little Pony after season 5 episode 2 even though it started sucking after (fuck Twilights castle, shitty merch ploy for real. and fuck Flurry Heart.)
