Every now and again, someone will reblog an old post of mine where someone "owns" me for "not understanding the themes of the show".
Now that I'm better medicated, will someone that "understands the themes of the show" explain to me why the 17 year old boy getting groomed by his adult manager gets more consequences than the intergalactic warlords who recreationally Frankenstein corpses of their fallen soldiers together? Is it because he didn't cry enough?
Steven Universe was a big step forward for queer media, but I don't think it needed Coleen Balenger or the getting back into your influential and bigoted aunts' will arc. I feel like you remove that and it could be on its way to being good.
