This week was quite a fun one, wasnât it, clase? I must say, the creativity juices flowing in this place were off the chain! Itâs always good to get some creativity going and find a way to express yourself, especially with all the pent up sexual frustration I felt coming from the bible club when I walked by their meeting last week. Talk about yikes. (And please, Jesus freaks, keep your clothes on.)

Art is in the air at McKinley Summer Camp this week. Students are setting up booths to showcase their work and running workshops for all different art mediums so there is plenty of new things to try! Whether you want to give knitting a try, paint a portrait or make jewelry out of pasta - thereâs a little something for everyone.Â

Woah what a wet and wild few weeks, McKinley! It was a tough challenge, and the campus was left soaking and in disarray but now we can look into the face of our Water Queen, @nuo1zizesâ herself and know that it was worth it. We have our winner.. And we have peace at summer camp!

With all this tension, it was only time before things needed to cool off. Now yâall need to get ready for the week of a lifetime.. A week where (for once) the only goal is to not get wet.
Guns, buckets, balloons or a good old wack with a damp sponge - anything goes for this hell-scape of water madness.

This week was enlightening to say the least... But the good news in all this mess is that the double-wide between the camps is officially empty and we are completely out of toxic substances to burn. So... Perhaps a successful week? Perhaps not.Â

And the flames went higher..!
This week, the McKinley staff thought it would be a smashing idea to burn a huge campfire at both campsites every single night.. and all day, every day! After all, who doesnât like staring into a huge wall of flames and contemplating every single mistake you have ever made in life? Not this gal!
And it totally absolutely definitely does not have anything to do with the fact that we are currently burning everything that was inside that run-down old double wide that sits between the boysâ and girlsâ camps. Not. At. All.
But whatâs that smell?...
I think we made a horrible mistake.
And.... ACTION!
Great choices, kiddos! If it was up to me, I would have a mega marathon and watch every single movie chosen. But itâs not... Itâs up to our marvelous Dean. And it was he that decided to go FAR OUT and decide that actually getting hold of any of those movies was out of the school budget so he brought in his very own copy of the 1912 classic, From the Manger to the Cross. Enjoy... I guess.Â

You heard it here first. Dean Figgy has nabbed us a pretty sweet retired drive in projector so we can chill out together and watch a movie. Now we are settled into our gorgeous little cabins, itâs what we need.
One catch though? We can only show one before curfew on Saturday night so we gotta pick our cinematic masterpiece.

Ever heard of the cabin in the woods?
Grab a hammer and a set of nails and get to work, McKinley. The Dean has hired in some professional cabin builders, which apparently is actually a thing, and is getting to work erecting two sets of cabins in the vast Southern fields either side of those abandoned double-wides.
Roomies of these three person cabins have been established by Cassie July, so its up to you all to get acquainted and make your building site a little more homey... Because itâll be your digs until the end of August.

This one time, at band camp!
 I feel as though there are more classes and workshops going on than we all know what to do with. Who said summer camp was for kids? Iâm about to go ahead and live my best life this summer.

This one time... At band camp!
Donât fret boys and girls! The fun doesnât have to end just yet... Or at all! Thatâs right! McKinley is NOT shutting itâs doors and closing for the summer. Until the fall semester, we say goodbye to McKinley Community College and hello to Camp McKinley!
Instead of our normal classes, we make way for vocational fun and sports GALORE. Be it beekeeping, plant potting, tetherball, finger painting, glass staining, ultimate frisbee or egg and spoon racing - there will never be a dull moment at Camp McKinley!
Not only are campers able to take part in many activities and have the choice to camp out on our newly erected campgrounds in place of the football fields - member of the Save McKinley Committee with have the opportunity to become camp counselors. After all... We donât have the money to hire any real ones.
So... share your ideas and let summer begin!

What a magical evening we all had, kiddos! I hope youâre all nursing those hangovers and buying the morning after pills so Figgins really thinks you saved room for Jesus while you were grinding with that special someone on the dance floow.

You got that right. Thatâs this years prom theme thanks to our genius Dean. With budget cuts. we have had to merge the inter-faith mingle and our end of finals dance and thus... our prom was born. How quintessentially McKinley.
With entertainment from the collegeâs gospel choir performing modestly edited chart bopz, students are encouraged to enforce appropriate dress and behavior.Â
Get ready for an unforgettable night spent with loved ones, making memories that would be sure to carry us through the summer.

Raise your glasses McKinley..
Yet again, itâs that week where Dean Figgins promotes alcohol awareness and enforces a strict no-alcohol policy.. When strangely enough we donât have one to begin with. Which, why would we? Straight edge is for nerds.
Though the Dean may say itâs a great advantage not to drink among hard drinking people, we beg to differ.
There is a rumor trickling through the walls that a secret speakeasy has opened on campus - hidden away in that room no one knows of, and no one can get to. Alcohol flows, cigars burn and the faint sound of 1920s classics float through the room.
So put on your best suit or your most intricate dress and follow the smell of whisky to find that password protected speakeasy and take a load off. But remember.. Itâs OUR little secret.
I know we'll meet again some sunny day.

Spooky things have been going all around this week, and Dean Figgins has missed it all. As the week came to a close and paranormal activity has settled down to just a murmur, members of our committee managed to figure out the panic room code and rushed to free him. At least now we all know there is a panic room on campus.. And Iâll be sure to be utilizing that.
