Drunk drivers kill. Don’t see alcohol illegal, RX addiction it the worst of all , but no one bats an eye of a functional persons admits to taking substance. I hate that I can’t be honest about my use because of the stigma around meth. The worst part is when I feel comfortable enough with someone and open up a bit and suddenly I’m not the person they thought I was and start looking at me different. No, I’m not this fucked off person who goes around stealing shit fucking people over or sucking dick for dope. Im a kind, forgiving, generous person who works a full time job and does as much good in the world as I can. The only person I hurt is myself, I hide my use to people I care about cause I don’t want them to worry about me. I feel guilty about it but I lie with good intentions. Just because I self destruct in a way that’s not socially acceptable does not define who I am or make me any less of a person.

Judging by some of the responses I’ve experienced it would be like if one day someone you knew or thought that you knew came and told you they like to eat human flesh. You’d be shocked. Disgusted. Wondering how you never knew this about that person. Most likely, you would distance or separate yourself from this person permanently. Aaaaaannnnndddd that’s the equivalency of telling someone that you slam meth.
