A quiet positive thought changed it all.
" When we see with the eye, we develop the ability to refine, to judge, to discriminate. When we see with the heart, we expand the view of what it is to be human, see the common dream, see the wisdom of friends and neighbors, see there is no separation between that which is beautiful and the everyday world. The eye of the heart sees with a wholeness that allows imperfections and idiosyncrasies to coexist with beauty. The eye of the heart knows surface and depth are not opposites.
Beauty is a process, a revelation, not a finished state. "

the tinder guy.
we sat quietly in your car, we held hands to warm up.
you said two hands together get warmer quicker than one “give me some time”
you told me you want me to make you a painting.
I said I needed a story.
“can it be a sad story?” you asked.
“it’s a sad love story.”
you told me the story of your parents breaking up when you were a kid and played me their tune.
we listened to it quietly.
you told me how your dad loved one woman only, your mom until the day he died.
and how your mom would sneak into your dad’s house after they broke up, for one last affair.
I keep thinking of that poem “we return to each other in waves.”
your parents must have loved each other in waves.
and damn, I think I’m falling for you.
When someone tells you, “I love you,” and then you feel, “Oh, I must be worthy after all,” that’s an illusion. That’s not true. Or someone says, “I hate you,” and you think, “Oh, God, I knew it; I’m not very worthy,” that’s not true either. Neither one of these thoughts hold any intrinsic reality. They are an overlay. When someone says, “I love you,” he is telling you about himself, not you. When someone says, “I hate you,” she is telling you about herself, not you. World views are self views—literally.

I beg you, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.
Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet (via soulspaces)
Can you invent new verbs? I’m going to tell you one: I sky you; because I want to spread my wings deep and wide, so as to love you without measure.
Se pueden inventar verbos? Quiero decirte uno: yo te cielo, asì mis alas se extienden enormes para amarte sin medida.
