in the light of the cas vs. cass discourse (it's cas period) I thought about what would be the most ridiculous way to spell his name and my German brain presents to you:

sorry, i'm not done yet. rant incoming. "go to university" they said, "you'll have all the possibilities in the world". i did. i did my bachelors and masters, once valedictorian, once salutatorian. i am qualified, i know my field. i have a year of work experience (full time, plus all the time i spent working while i went to uni) which is a lot considering i am 25 years old and went to university for 5 years?? i did everything in time, no breaks or whatever (and if you took a break: good for you! <3 i also should have done that) and now people like me can't even get invited to a freaking job interview most of the time? i applied to 70 jobs since june last year. i got invited to 6 interviews. i am still "waiting" to hear back from a job i applied to 7 months (!!!) ago, they also haven't replied to my e-mail asking if there are any news. companies are so fucking disrespectful, taking forever to send an automated message with "sadly we have to reject you, please no further questions as to why". but i do wanna know why. i wanna know why i wasn't even invited to a job i was qualified for. is it a lack of experience? did my cv not convince you? was there someone else - already in the company - who got the job?

As somebody whose name contains an Umlaut, it always makes me mad when Americans people who don’t use a German keyboard layout just leave out the dots. That is not my name. :(
