CogDiscord. What of it now, and going forward.

Anyone within the MOTHER: CogDis fandom, or the MOTHER fandom in-general, has heard of the official CogDis Discord that's been around since the late 2010s. I used to be the owner until I left back in Spring of 2019, though I returned to it only for a short while so that I could interact with few remaining good individuals until I decided to fully leave it behind since I no longer have any wishes to be part of it for the foreseeable future. Given my perspective, I'm not saddened that it went down the path it shouldn't have, but everyone needs to know and learn from what I'm about to say next.

What of it?

In personal hindsight, CogDiscord as it stands now is nothing more than a rotten prototype that teeters with a speck of unsafe community environment thanks to the current owner who has engaged in their own hostile takeover from long ago (there's no reason to fully disclose it all), still allows elitist troublemakers to be a part of the server, as well as refusing to conduct ModMail responses accordingly (as is the case with a non-warning ban appeal that wasn't received by any of the staff) and doing right by the members accordingly. This is not how you operate transparently. This is how you operate for your own selfish gains rather than actually doing right by those that want properly equalized handling of a community. My open-for-all community does not tolerate that, NOR the toxicity within the CogDiscord that the current owner has facilitated through giving continuous no-slap-on-the-wrist allowance for two bad-faith individuals that remained on the server for an exceedingly long time. I operate way more transparently and with valued moral integrity over abject nonsense favoritism of certain people who are problematic, and the CogDiscord owner is a polar opposite of that. All of that is why I personally see it as a rotten prototype, and if you take the time and consider it to heart, you would at least agree with me as well.

Going Forward?

The CogDiscord you know now is a no-go (my personal preference anyway). All that's left standing is an autonomous community that aims to continue where that prototype has faltered in every capacity. Open-For-All, including CogDis folks and MOTHER community folks in-general, operated by just my person with pure transparency and valued moral integrity and actively AGAINST all toxicity that the CogDiscord's current owner has incorporated into the community. But don't expect it to happen just yet. We're a long ways to go from ever having it come to fruition, but once it does, any current and/or former CogDiscord members will have a second chance if they show their best behavior and not like those who want to cause a toxic stir for their own selfish benefit. Coming 20XX. When it's ready, it's ready forever. In the end, some things were never meant to be. The rotten prototype is the main case that never should've gone down the way it went.
