I used to tell myself that the leads of Korean dramas were made perfect just for the fantasy side of the genre and I witnessed myself many people who fell with the impressive character just to console themselves with the words “No man in this world can have it all”. But then I realized BTS’ Jin (Kim Seokjin) exists and this man somehow has it all. He is beyond handsome that even before he debuted tourists will ask to take pictures with him and he was cast on the streets so many times by agencies that he thought they were scammers. Even BigHit’s agent was running after him at a bus stop to get him into his current label. He joined BTS not knowing how to dance or sing but now, he can do both. He is the son of a CEO but decided to live in a small dorm of one room with the members of BTS and even was the one who cooked and bought them food when they didn’t have money. The fact of his family was rich was never something he talked about or used, he sought a path where each step was the result of his blood, sweat, and tears. He never took anything for granted not was he the usual spoiled wealthy boy. His mom is SO pretty to the point where rumors went around that she was a former Miss Korea. He is kind, funny and VERY rich. He is now not only an artist but also a business owner that even invested in real estate that he bought easily in one go like it was bread when in reality it cost millions of dollars. He is good at sports and his body is no joke. He is incredibly smart and has successfully gotten into a prestigious university, aced his semesters while working full time as an artist that barely had time to breathe let alone sleep to lastly graduate triumphantly. He got such a good personality and looks combo that he was popular even in an all-boys school and managed to receive roses on valentine’s days from boys. It seems like he doesn’t care much but he is very considerate. He respects the elderly and doesn’t belittle younger ones. He even raised the younger one in BTS (Jungkook) to become his best friend and brother. When asked what will he do if he fell in love with the same person as the other members of BTS, he stated he will just give up love for them. That’s how loyal he is. Jin is a freaking imaginary character that actually exists. I don’t know how this lacking world gave us something so ideal but it did. From family background to looks to humor to wealth to personality to skill and even brain. Jin got it all and that’s a fact. The world might be unfair, but if the world could give us more Kim Seokjins…who will ever complain?
