1.  It is not an archive site.  They are indexing the creations by the user names of the people who upload it to their site.  They make no effort to link back to active creators websites. 

2. Their policy states that they people who post the content must be the creators of the content.  By posting our content under their user names, this constitutes a copyright claim on their part against our work.  

3. EA’s EULA protects our rights to create derivative works, and thus the rights of others to create derivative works from our work.  It does NOT permit the copying of user content without alteration.  

4. You own the copyright to your work the moment you post it.  You do not need to have a copyright symbol displayed or register it in any other way.

5.  This has nothing to do with getting around country censors. They are uploading content without permission of Russian creators as well.  

6. Their ISP is in Montreal and France, so they are subject to Canadian and French copyright law, and the jurisdiction of the copyright holder (wherever you the creator live).  

The more people who complain to them, the more likely we are to get our content removed.  Even if you don’t care, it is supportive of other creators that DO care to take a stand against it.  

It doesn’t seem as though they are trying to take credit for anyone’s work. I mean clearly as many simmers have said, they use your preview, your name is all over it. They seem like any other sim content archiving site to me.

Is it that they aren’t using your download link? I’m on mobile and I can’t check how they are sharing or what they direct you to.

I have downloaded things from simscave, thegraveyard, BPS file sharing section, and some simmers have thankfully shared unavailable files with me.

You made it. You shared it, and I, and every other simmer is still grateful to you and only you for being amazing enough to make our games more enjoyable.

I don’t think anyone that downloads from that site is crediting them for your hard work. Just like I don’t think any of the finds blogs here get credit (there are quite a few dead/alive with removed links tumblrs that I’ve been able to get content from because of these blogs) for all the CC they reblog.

If they’re not, no big deal.  Saves me bandwidth!  If they are, that’s when I begin to have issues.  After all, my TOU are clearly ‘do whatever you want and credit is nice, but don’t try to make money off my hard work.’

There just reuploading work into one handy site so russians and etc. are able to download. Its like with gamesir and netshow (chinese websites which reupload stuff) as well. Its for those with ip access problems (remember people this is the internet and their are censors in every country - small or not - which limits what people can view).

I guess the only problem is with your TOU.. but this has been going on for years where people reupload stuff from dead creators/pay creators and the like.

I understand you guys aren’t dead but not everybody speaks english and not everybody browses tumblr (and etc.) for sims content. Heck most people only know of MTS or TSR and thats it!
