[ Role: Butler ] No Problem || Gill & Vivi
She was sure whomever had the title of the prince, would make themselves easily known to the world somehow. Anyone who had been playing the part of royalty would stick out like a sore thumb. Even if Vivi had been cheating a little bit with her magic- no she was playing it smart- she liked being complimented. Made her feel important, as little as it was. What a strange human to say so, even if he did not seemed to be excited to play his part. And that was okay, Vivi herself would dislike to be at the beck of ones call. “Thaaaa~nk you.” Would the jongluer be the kind of person to be humbled? She didn’t have too much to work on for her role, but she did a lot of reading about the character. Mayhaps a bit too much. Once she finished, she heard the man applaud. He applauded! Yes! She did something right, of course she did something right- she was the great witch Vivi! One to be feared and worshiped like as if she were the harvest goddess herself! Mwahahaha. She was tempted to place her hands on her hips to laugh like she did in her thoughts. “I am ple~eased you enjoyed the performance. Now I have a question of my own.” She raised her head up with a firm line on her face. Letting out a hopeless sigh. “If you ever see or heard of the mage’s whereabouts, please let me know. Or let them know I’m awaiting for them. “ She noticed the butler extending out his hand, the woman herself wasn’t used to this formal pleasantries- but she mimicked the same and shook his hand with a gentle grip. She was a bit ….hesitant to even touch a human, but where did she heard the name Hamilton before? Why did he gave her his whole name? Doesn’t he know that’s quite a dangerous thing to do? Oh the spells you can do with just a name, well- she tried to not look too much into it. “V. You could call me V. “ She had a small sardonic smirk as she still forgotten to let go of his hand in the midst of the shake.
“Yes..? Is there anything I can possibly help you with?” He hadn’t noticed her hesitance, or else he would have attempted to soothe the situation. Blinking at her question, he realized he hadn’t exactly met many people in roles quite yet. The mention of a mage made him stop in his tracks for a moment’s notice, but it wasn’t evident in the way he was acting. “No problem, milady. I do not know where he is, or who he is for that matter. But if I run into him, I shall inform you.”
With a raised eyebrow, he took her response in a stride. What reason did she have to hide her name? Other than the game of course. “Well, V, your performance was worthwhile. I do hope the noblemen and citizens have been paying you proper respect.”
As his ice blue glance grazed over their handshake, of which she had seemingly forgotten about, Gill awkwardly pat her hand to signal for her attention. “If you have time to spare aside from your performances, perhaps I can accompany you? --To seek out the mage or the prince, of course.” Abruptly adding the last part in, he cursed himself eternally. Even now, in his guise as a butler, he still couldn’t let go of his obstinate values and excuses.
“One mustn’t be careless when it comes to this silly game, milady. Allies are often found in unexpected places. And enemies, even more so.” He was fairly good at this acting business, but perhaps he was going a bit too far. All he really wanted was a bit of company for the morning. Oh well, let the man have his fun.
All that Remains || Gill & Eve
Her pink lovely eyes sparkled underneath the lantern lights, it was soothingly quiet, with just them in the garden. The twinkling lights above them fluttered and lit up the dark sky and warmed the evening even more. Her gaze rested on his blue hues. He was really something wasn’t he; he was very good on the eyes, although, she still wondered about the certain butler suit. She felt intrigued to get to know the tall, handsome man before her. She felt like the setting was almost like a…like a fairy-tail.
“I’m glad I found you alright” she replied softly, her golden blonde hair shimmered from the yellow lights. Seeing the beautiful bouquet being held out to her made her heart skip… Such a gentleman…. “Oh my, thank you!♥” She lifted the flowers towards her face, closing her eyes, she smelt the bouquet. “They’re lovely ♥ ” Her eyes gazed up to meet his own once again.
Eve slipped one of her graceful arms around his in acceptance, it was so formal, she was feeling already kind of like a princess. What on earth was she thinking? There weren’t any happy endings like that in real life.
“Mmhmm…” She murmured “it really is gorgeous tonight, a perfect night for an event like this. Whoever planned it, did a very great job, its been such a nice experience so far.” As they walked slowly, Eve began to notice fireflies started to come out, it was breathtaking to see.
“It’s... no problem really.” He inhaled slowly, not exactly processing the current events as well as he could have been. In the least, she seemed to be enjoying his bouquet; her smile entailed her satisfaction quite well. “The daffodils... they stand for ‘chivalry’, while the baby’s breaths stand for ‘festivity’.” Though he implied that he had had it all thought out before hand, in truth, he had simply rushed in and taken the first flowers they had on display. At least their meanings made sense.
Stiffening for a moment at her touch, he tilted his head in her direction. How did she manage to play this off so smoothly? Perhaps he should just slip into his role and let his acting fill in the lines as he went. “Hmph. Well... milady, it delights me to know that my organization skills have met your approval.” Yes, that was fine. Just play the role as faithful butler until she notices what was up.
“Though... I must admit, my team of decorators did a fine job themselves.” He smiled faintly, eyes hovering over the fairy lights and starlit skies. He had a perpetually stoic expression, but when it came down to it, he had to admit that he was a bit sentimental about his line of work. As they strolled passed fireflies that dappled against the velvet stretches of sky, he found himself just a bit more relaxed than before. If only a little bit.
“Hopefully, you’ve been having a good time until now? ...I’ve been running around myself, taking care of preparations and such, but if you have any suggestions for the next Goddess Festival, I’d be happy to hear it.” It was always business talk with him. Sorry, Eve. But conversations like these always helped him ease into the situation, helped him have a feel for how his new acquaintances felt. The night was still young, after all.

Seeing the Gs || Gill & Leon
While on a normal stroll to pretty much no where, Leon managed to stumble upon an unusual sight. A blonde man staring at a bag. Upon closer inspection it seemed to have money in it, and quite a lot in fact.
Leon’s attention was soon caught by the stranger asking him a question. He shook his head lightly and glanced back at the bag. “No, I’m afraid it’s not mine. It would be a great help if it was, but I believe getting it back to the appropriate owner is the right course of action.”
Despite his shenanigans, Leon was not a thief, nor a criminal. He had been a priest previously, and that life style was still partially engrained in him. So no matter how much he would have loved the extra money, there was no point gaining it if he did not earn it himself.
“My name is Leon, likewise.” Leon held his hand out and returned the shake briefly. He was starting to get a hang of the strange custom.
Nodding sharply, Gill was particularly glad that the man had proper manners. It would be difficult to handle someone who had bark and bite; not that he hadn’t handled those types before, but... Money was involved. It was better not to complicate things.
“Leon? Respectable name.” Gill rested his chin between the crevice of his fingers. “Forgive me, but I’ve never happened upon you during one of my city stops. Do you work around here?”
Leon acted as though he wasn’t exactly aware of who owned the bag either... “I’m guessing you don’t exactly recognize the bag enough to pinpoint the owner, though...” A slight impediment, indeed. Gill nearly could have sighed in exasperation, but he was in the presence of a stranger.
“No matter. I could ask people around here if I must. But... do you mind giving me a hand?”
Lady in Waiting
Fields of Gold || Violet & Gill
“I-It’s been…interesting,” Violet spoke with a shy smile, not wanting to weight him down with her troubles, “T-Though I’ve never been to the dancing portion of the festival before. I-It’s very nice.” She looked out at the dance floor, where the current song was dying down and the area dispersed as they waited for the next song to start. Violet looked down at they arrived in the outskirts of the dance area.
“U-Um…I-I do have to admit that I-I’m not really good at dancing…” Violet quietly admitted, eye tracing her feet against the stone. It wasn’t so much that she didn’t know how, but that she had never danced with a partner that much before. And by much, she meant at all.
“Interesting...? Seems like you’ve had quite a time here,” He nodded in quiet comprehension. It was better not to press too much when one just barely met another. He nearly smiled for a moment; complements to the event were always taken in strides with Gill. He couldn’t help but feel a bit proud that the event was going splendidly, even if it had left him a bit ragged. Swallowing up his ridiculous stiffness, he squeezed her hand a tad just to comfort her. “I’ve been too busy to dance and well-- I’ve never been one for-- ehem-- dancing at all. So I suppose we’re in the same boat.”
It wasn’t as though he hadn’t known how though. He had nailed dancing techniques quite a while back, but he could never let himself feel whatever should have come out of dancing. There was far too much pride in his silly little head. But he might as well have given it a chance for Violet tonight. “Hmph-- F-forgive me for this, after all of it is done. I suggest we just take things slowly and just enjoy, okay?”
Taking her side to the dance floor, he bit down to stop a blush from forming. (An utter failure he might add.) Bowing politely, he offered an open hand for her to take once more.
[ Role: Butler ] No Problem || Gill & Vivi
Vivi was honestly having a ball with her act. rotating a few round spheres idly in the palm of her hand humming some old chant to herself. The nice thing about her role is that she had magic to help enhance the illusion of it all. In fact, Vivi wasn’t much of a jongluer herself- but she was supposed to be someone whom is good at entertaining others. Yet they were good at gossip and lies, and making a ruse out of things. They weren’t all bad really, they were just struggling to make ends meet with their bare bones. Sure, she had been making a few strangers laugh and amused with her antics. Still, certainly she felt as though this role did not suit her at all, people were supposed to entertain her- but this was just only a game. A act. Part of a play, so she had the resolve to keep on trying for Vivi was stubborn as hell.
Once someone tapped her shoulder she stopped humming, and adjusted her mask before she turned around. Well this guy looked one hell of a butler. She smirked while shaking her head starting to throw one of those orbs in the air. “No, I have not.” Jongleurs were not complete scoundrels, she had no idea whom the prince were at this time. And she had nothing to gain in this situation. Alright one goes to the left, and the other… She was thinking to herself partly, while she tried to keep concentration on both the butler (whom looked more like a prince to her, in all honesty.) and the crystal like orbs she was throwing into the air. Making them change colors from within, a small slight magic enhancement. “But perhaps if I do indeed see him, “ Her grin widened, as she picked up her pace. “I’ll let him know you’re looking for him.” With a slight trick of the eye, and a bit more of magic, she made the orbs appear they were popping like fireworks as they dissipated into the air- and somehow reappeared right back in the palms of her hands- grinning as she took a little bow with her arms stretched out.
“Oh... I see. Hm. Well that’s no matter, I’ll meet up with him sometime soon, I believe.” He honestly could care less about meeting the prince; for the situation surrounding this so-called prince seemed tainted with something he couldn’t particularly put his finger on. Observing her odd choice of wear and the crystal orbs she had been tossing up earlier, he stepped back to give her some space to work.
“Thank you, I suppose.” He cleared his throat, trying to address his ‘superior’ correctly. With a stoic look on his face, Gill murmured, “His Royal Highness...” Gill stopped himself from gritting his teeth at the silly title, “...would probably be delighted to have your company. You’re rather good at your job, hmm?”
He was entranced; how did she manage to do that by simply juggling the orbs up and down? There had to be some kind of explanation for it, some strings she was pulling elsewhere, but at that moment in time it seemed as though she was making the orbs change color and pop out of existance in mid-air. After applauding her performance, he took to staring at his role card again for the umpteenth time. It would get let him narrow his thoughts down to a fine point; perhaps help him file through the perpetual flow of questions he had.
Letting out a silent breath, he held up his role card between his index and middle fingers. Flipping it around, he reread the words pressed boldly into the card: “You primarily work for the Prince, you should probably do as your told if you value your life.” A rather ominous way to word things, he had to admit. Perhaps it would be better if he never met the Prince at all. He caught the words “Lady in Waiting” on the card before rolling his eyes. Sliding his card back into his front pocket, rose a friendly hand to shake.
“I’m Gill, Gill Hamilton by the way. Butler.... for the time being.”

Fields of Gold || Violet & Gill
“N-No, i-it’s okay…” Violet spoke with a hand raised, knowing how flustered and silly she must look at just being offered a dance, “T-Thank you.” She hesitantly took his hand and smiled shyly up at him before looking back down. As the two began to head back towards the dance floor, she began to think of something to say. She couldn’t just be a quiet, embarrassed mess during a simple dance. Dancing was a social thing, right?
“S-So…h-how have you been enjoying the festival?” she asked.
“It’s no... problem, really.” Gill was having hard time trying to hold off on his obstinate attitude. No huffing, no burning blushes, no crossing his arms in embarrassment. He had to list all those bad habits of his in his head a few times to make sure he had them down. Nonetheless, he was glad his stiffness and fairly bored expression (he was born with it, honestly) didn’t make a terrible impression. As he took her hand in his, he made a sweeping bow; one of which was just on point for his role as a Butler.
Cutting himself off before he made a tired sigh, he murmured, “Well the night’s been raising quite the social appeal. Though... it’s been doing a number on me.” Glancing down at his partner, he didn’t wish to bring to light any more negativity if he could avoid it.
Attempting to change the topic, he inquired, “And how has your day been faring you?”
Fields of Gold || Violet & Gill
Violet lowered her head at the sound of a cough. Before her was a man she had seen plenty of times before around the festival, running to and fro from different areas, though she had no idea who he was. Just as she opened her mouth to ask what he wanted, he asked her to dance.
“U…U-Um…” Violet uttered out, her face turning a light shade of pink at the kind offer. This was definitely something she hadn’t expected. Dancing with her blind date was expected since it was supposed to be a date…but getting asked to dance by a complete and total stranger? Was he expecting something from her? She knew that the second she walked onto the dance floor, he would immediately be disappointed.
Still…being asked like this felt nice.
Violet slowly stood up, looking at him with a completely bewildered look, “S…Sure. I-I’m Violet. U-Um…i-it’s nice to meet you, Gill.”
He could nearly feel her blush brush against his own cheeks. It was hard to keep up appearances when you A) hadn’t exactly expected to dance with anyone aside from your blind date and B) asked a girl even more flustered than you were to do the very thing you hadn’t expected.
Steeling his expression to attempt to make sure they weren’t both blathering messes, he ended up giving her one of his professional smiles; the kind that he could whip out at a moment’s notice. Clearing his throat, he nodded at her stiffly. “Hmph. It’s... nice to meet you too, Violet.” His eyes caught hers for a moment; she was quite pretty in her own right, just simply bashful from the looks of it.
“I’m-- err... happy to make your acquaintance. Forgive me; I’m rather stiff. But if you’ll have me...” He offered her a hand and a ghost of a smile. More natural, albeit quite faint. “Then it’d be a delight to have this dance.”
All that Remains || Gill & Eve
It had been a lovely evening so far, so many people were having a good time, weather it was grabbing a bite to eat and chatting with someone or letting loose on the dance floor. Her lovely pink eyes gazed across the dance floor, she wondered on where her blind date was, he went by the name Gill. But she didn’t know much about him surprisingly, the only thing she truly knew was that he was the mayors son. Or… Was he the mayor? She couldn’t remember, she was never the one for politics to much.
Eve glanced at the time, she was told to meet him at a certain time near the garden, a little quieter then her current location. Her golden blonde hair flowed stunningly around her waist as she swayed her hips walking to the garden in her heels.
Her heels clicked quietly as she walked along the stone path, the garden was lovely during the evening, it was a gorgeous night. To her surprise she saw a handsome man in… Well it looked rather like a butler suit? Shaking the thought away, she elegantly walked up to him, her mysteriously beautiful pink hues meet his blue ones.
“You must be Gill, I’m Eve” she introduced herself sweetly with a smile, she curtsied for polite and formalness.
Having played with his gloves enough, he had raised his gaze at the exact moment a particularly stunning femme fatale had made herself known under the dim lighting. Swallowing, he knew better than to let himself sway under the gaze of someone beautiful; it was a lack of finesse and self control that would be the downfall of many good men (and many not-so good men as well). He just had to hold his stoic expression steady, waiting for his own blind date to arrive.
As the woman zoned in on him, it hit him that she may have been his date for the rest of the evening. Dear Goddess, really? He’d rather be underwhelmed than over...! But this was never really a choice for him to make, was it? Letting out a breath once, he stilled his expression to one of professional sharpness. This was arranged; he had it all planned. So there was no reason for him to be alarmed by this pleasant surprise.
“Hm. Good evening, Eve. You’ve... definitely found the right man,” His smile was faint and a tad lopsided, but it was an attempt nonetheless. Holding out the bouquet for her, he nodded gently. “Uh-- Ehem. These are for you.”
Offering her a stiff bend of his arm (Goddess damn it, Gill. Professionals must play it smooth.) he gestured to the plaza. Pleasantries... pleasantries. “...Lovely night time skies, don’t you think?”
Fields of Gold || Violet & Gill
x
Violet sat back on a bench right outside the plaza, watching everyone dance together from the corner of her eye. She couldn’t see anyone she knew, but the crowd was so thick that she doubted she could find them if she tried. Throughout the majority of the dance, Violet could count the times she had danced on one hand. She didn’t blame anyone. She was a terrible dancer who only learned through storybooks and had forgotten to even practice before she decided to come. Plus, everyone was having fun with their own respective dates and she didn’t want to come between any of them, even if she knew the majority were blind dates according to what she saw on the giant list.
She balled up some of her dress in her hands, wondering if it was worth it to come. She might as well just sit out until the card game began in a little bit. Violet took in a deep breath, leaning back and looking up to the sky to watch the clouds. It was pretty out. She spent so much time inside nowadays that she barely noticed it. At the very least, she could enjoy the patterns of the clouds and the imagined pictures up above. Hearing the faint music still coming from the main dance area, she closed her eyes and let herself relax.
Gill still had time before his Blind Date had arrived and he longed for a little time to take a breather. All day long he had juggled various situations that could have made his eyes roll straight out of their sockets, and it ended up wearing him out. The music had slowed on the dance floor, gently enveloping him in tides of sleepy notes. The couples swayed to the ebb and wane of the steady guitar as the singer’s chorus swelled. He had to admit... it was rather romantic. But moreover, it was music that set up just the right sentimental mood to make some moments happen.
Too bad he was a bit too caught up in trying to check up on all the citizens in the plaza to make some moments for himself.
Sighing, he strolled around the plaza, observing the dancers as they spun around the floor. Ducking out of the way of the crowd, he supposed he could possibly take a seat at a near by bench or something-- It didn’t seem like a bad idea in retrospect. But as he cut through to the edge of the plaza, his eyes paused at a lone figure, face up towards the clouds. The image itself was rather melancholy and the music just made it more so. Breathing in deeply, he made his way up towards her and coughed awkwardly.
“Ehem. Um...I couldn’t help but notice you here.” Alone. But that wasn’t something he was going to add so bluntly. “Would you-- like to dance perhaps? My name is Gill Hamilton... my lady.”
[ Role: Butler ] No Problem || Gill & ???
He had never been one for dress up. Every time he had ended up in such a predicament, Luna had been to blame. However, it was solely his call this time; he had decided to participate in the silly role playing event and now he was wallowing in his own regret. Albeit the halfhearted enthusiasm he had gathered up in the last half hour, Gill had made up his mind to take his assigned role seriously.
From head to toe, he had been fitted perfectly into a sleek black butler suit; one of which had him sink into his role whether he wanted to or not. There was a tugging at his pride, of course, but he was at least grateful that he hadn’t ended up in a ridiculous peasant costume. Adjusting his tie, he made his way down the Square to approach a few people for the sake of keeping up his image. A mayor who joined in the activities had to put in his 110%. Otherwise, he was only lackluster. He could manage this. No problem.
Tapping on the shoulder of a stranger, Gill held himself straight while inquiring the following: “Excuse me. Do you happen to know where the Prince may be? I seem to have lost him in the crowd.” An obvious lie; he had yet to even meet the prince. But it was decent enough to start a conversation of sorts.
