Confession:  I really like the angara, and hope Bioware gets to expand on Jaal, Evfra, and the society, but I do wonder: at any point, did someone point out “Um…the top of the males heads look a bit phallic?” Now, the angara really look like squids, or cats with their ears pinned, or cobras, or a hybrid of these, and I think their faces and skin markings are cool, so I’m not really bothered by the design or think it stands out after an initial giggle, but I know other fans noticed. I’m glad the new species look a little odder than “blue human,” or “humanoid with extra knees”(quarian) or even “rotund dinosaur” (love krogan), but I did giggle for a second when I first saw them. And then fell in love with Jaal, Evfra, and Jaal’s family, and got over it.
