David Tennant as Peter Vincent in Fright Night for Tennant Tuesday (or whatever day this post may find you)
Hozier For Ladygunn Magazine (2019)
Hozier’s songs except they’re organized according to their vibe.
Sitting on a beach alone at sunset when it’s a little windy, you’re thinking of someone specific but you don’t want to admit that to yourself, you feel content but somehow a little sad:
Shrike
Wasteland, Baby!
Like Real People Do
Cherry Wine
In a Week
You see someone attractive at a bar and suddenly you’re swept up in an alternate reality where you two are madly in love:
Talk
Jackie & Wilson
Movement
NFWMB
Moments Silence (common tongue)
It Will Come Back
To Be Alone
Dancing alone in your kitchen on a hot, sunny afternoon with the windows open. All your housework or homework is done and you have the evening to relax:
To Make Noise (sing)
Nobody
Almost (Sweet Music)
Someone new
Your friend’s garage band is playing at a bonfire, everyone has eaten and it’s dark out. It’s a little chilly, you have on shorts & a sweatshirt sitting in a camp chair by the bonfire while the music plays and suddenly you’re having a spiritual awakening:
Be
Sunlight
Dinners & Diatribes
No Plan
Sedated
Would That I
Realizing that your lover hung the moon and stars, a god/goddess among mortals (with a bonus helping of religious guilt):
Take me to Church
From Eden
Angel of Small Death & the Codine Scene
Work Song
Run
You’re struggling with some strong feeling. You can’t place a name to it; it’s primal, destructive, and overpowering. You feel like a god made skin and bone, you just need to express this feeling but you don’t know how:
As It Was
Foreigners God
In the Woods Somewhere
Arsonist’s Lullabye
Nina Cried Power

David Tennant - for Red Nose Day/Comic Relief in 2011
Excerpts from his Red Nose Day interview with Benjamin Cook in DWM 432
DWM: The last Comic Relief drove home the fact that one malaria net costs just a fiver. Just 5 to keep a family safe.
DT: I know, there’s so much Comic Relief can do to help - and they’ve made huge inroads in various places, getting nets out. Malaria cases have dropped significantly where they’ve been able to do that. But it’s ongoing, because the problem is so huge. Being in that hospital just for a day was… it was tough, certainly the toughest day of the trip, particularly witnessing children on the brink of life, really fighting to survive. Had they been under a malaria net at night… Those are the terrible consequences of there not being enough funds to help people yet.
DWM: You had the added pressure of a camera crew documenting your every reaction
DT: Yes, and I struggled with that. I was probably, at times, too self-conscious. You ask yourself all sorts of questions about why you’ve agreed to do this.
DWM: There’s a danger, I suppose, that films of celebrities visiting poverty-stricken areas of Africa could come across as contrived or mawkish.
DT: I didn’t want it to be mawkish. I wanted to react as truthfully and as honestly as I could. You’re right, often in these films some pampered westerner flies out there, and looks on patronisingly at this terrible situation… To an extent that’s what you’re there for. That’s the terrible truth of it. It’s a means to an end. Even when I was out there, I thought that there may be other people who could do this better than me, who are more equipped, who have the skills, both professionally and emotionally, to do this more concisely than I was doing. But then you have to say to yourself, ‘Well, I’m here, and I’ve been asked here because… well, because I make TV programmes in another life. I have to give it my best shot’
DT: I met some incredible people in Uganda, and had experiences that will stay with me forever. I got to go to a new continent, a new country, and experience a very different life. There are a lot of problems in Africa, but it’s an extraordinary country, and has this culture, this vibrancy, and this life about it… It was an unexpected joy, for me, to experience a bit of that.

Demon Dancing
“You might just as well ask how many demons can dance on the head of a pin. They’re of the same original stock, after all, and at least demons dance. Not what you would call good dancing though”

Behind the Scenes of The Next Doctor (Part 10)
From a Radio Times interview with David Morrisey (as interviewed by Benjamin Cook):
David M: The Show has caught the public imagination. That’s in no small part down to David Tennant. He absolutely inhabits the role of the Doctor. He’s a fabulous actor. Did you see him in Einstein and Eddington the other week? Brilliant!
BC: Are you surprised at the level of interest in your casting as the “other” Doctor?
David M: I’m proud of the episode, so I’m happy with whatever attention comes from that. It was a joy to do. It’s one of the best atmospheres I’ve ever worked in. It’s a full-on drama. That’s what I love about it.
BC: So you’ll be watching The Next Doctor at home this year?
David M: Of course. I have a four-year-old, but I don’t think I’ll let him watch. He might find it too strange to see Daddy fighting Cybermen.
BC: Of course, you’re the bookies’ favourite to take over from David as the 11th Doctor. Are you tempted to have a little flutter?
David M: [Laughs] It’s just flattering to be in the frame. What David has done is phenomenal, and whoever gets it after him will be a very lucky person. You’d want to keep the spirit of the Doctor, but do it in your own way.
