Ancient Cookies Agere & Petre Headcanons .✦ ݁˖
- [ ] Dark cacao is a flip (caregiver lean) and a pet regressor.
- [ ] He mostly regresses involuntarily, and only sometimes (when he deems it necessary and his mind is too fuzzy to be productive) does he let himself regress voluntarily in the presence of those he trusts fully.
- [ ] In the rare instances he regresses, he will usually regress to a baby, or sometimes a young toddler.
- [ ] He is a quiet and calm baby, and rarely speaks while regressed.
- [ ] It is also quite easy to tell when he is regressed if you know him well, by the way his features soften in that smaller state of mind. Usual stern frown and harsh eyes, turning more open, wider, softer.
- [ ] He loves soft blankets and rattles. He also really likes pacis, but only uses them when in his room. You will not see him walking around the castle with a paci, as he is still a little embarrassed to be seen in such a fragile state. He usually does not allow himself the privilege of comfort while big, so in those rare instances when he is small, he will let himself enjoy comfortable and soft things for once.
- [ ] When he is a toddler, he will often go out into the snowy landscapes of his kingdom and play in the snow, often with supervision. He will build snowmen or lay in the snow catching snowflakes.
- [ ] His main caregiver is Caramel Arrow Cookie. She often cares for him while small as she is one of the only cookies that he trusts to see him in that state. On occasion, he will be babysat by Crunchy Chip Cookie.
- [ ] The ancients also watch over him when he regresses, though, the regression was a relatively newer thing for him. He only really started regressing due to the trauma of the Dark Flour War. When the ancients are all together, he will most likely interact with Pure Vanilla or Hollyberry while little, as caregivers or sibbies depending if they are regressed as well. He feels most comfortable with them. Though, Golden Cheese will serve as a playmate for him, and White Lily as a babysitter.
- [ ] Regression is healing for him because he always has to be strong. The strong leader of his kingdom, or an ancient hero. He is perceived as stern and unbreakable, when in reality he is a cookie like anyone else. Regression serves as a break from those responsibilities. Though, as stated, he rarely allows himself to regress voluntarily regardless.
- [ ] As a caregiver, he is quite strict. Though, it is only because he wishes the little one well. He will often sit down to talk with the little as to why he said no in the first place, and is not the type to budge on that type of thing. It will most likely take persuasion from one of the other ancients for that to happen.
- [ ] Caregiver space is the state you will most likely find him in, since it is in his nature to take care of others. He cares for all his kingdom’s citizens, despite his stoic demeanor.
- [ ] If the little is old enough, he will show them how to wield a sword or fight. Though, if the little one prefers to avoid fighting, he will simply sit with them by the fire and tell them stories.
- [ ] Dark Cacao can ramble quite a bit when comfortable, surprisingly, speaking of many stories from his past.
- [ ] Dark Cacao only started pet regressing after his awakening. When he regresses into a pet, he regresses into a dragon.
- [ ] In that state you will catch him interacting with the Black and White Dragons most often, speaking to them or having them resting on his shoulders.
- [ ] He will also collect shiny objects, mostly weapons, while in that state. Though, he will do it silently, if you know him well you will be able to notice the subtle way his eyes brighten when looking at the objects in his collection glisten in the light.
- [ ] White Lily is a trauma regressor and babysitter.
- [ ] She regresses involuntarily and sometimes voluntarily, varying in age. Sometimes she will be a baby dough, other times a young toddler, sometimes a kid (similar to her age during her time at the academy), sometimes a teen, it all depends on the day. Her most common ones though, are toddler and kiddo.
- [ ] When she is younger (baby or toddler), she loves stuffed animals, pacis, rattles and sippy cups. She is a calm baby, though startles easily, which can cause her to cry often as well. She is quite a sensitive baby, but very sweet to those around her.
- [ ] White Lily has trouble sleeping. She tends to have nightmares of the Witch’s Banquet. Which is why she will only sleep calmly when held while small, it helps her feel safe. Bonus points if she is wrapped up in a blanket or given a stuffy.
- [ ] When she is a kiddo or teen, she is more of a curious kiddo, similar to her time in the academy, she will be found exploring new places or looking at details in the things around her. For example, she could be seen kneeling to better examine a flower, curiously asking questions about how it grows. She also really loves reading in this state, and will often be found in the library of the faerie kingdom.
- [ ] She is a clumsy kiddo, and can end up tripping quite easily in any age range of her regression. She just gets so lost in her own head, she sometimes forgets to look at her surroundings more carefully.
- [ ] She is also quite a distractible kiddo, which means she tends to wander off. Her caregivers must keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn’t get herself lost.
- [ ] She doesn’t have a set caregiver. Though, when she is in the faerie kingdom, faeries like Silverbell Cookie and Mercurial Knight Cookie serve as babysitters for her.
- [ ] Elder Faerie used to be her caregiver when he was still around, and was the one who cared for her the most out of all of them.
- [ ] During White Lily’s travels, Pastry Cookie can also serve as a babysitter.
- [ ] The ancient cookies will also serve as babysitters for her, when she is around them. Most commonly, Pure Vanilla will care for her, since he is her best friend and knows her the best out of the rest. The others try their best to care for her as well, but sometimes are a little lost on what to do in certain situations.
- [ ] After her time in the catacombs, Silent Salt will then become a set caregiver for her, and help care for her while in that state.
- [ ] Despite her clumsiness, she has been alone for so long that it is a bit jarring to have someone there all of the time again. Especially someone who can relate to the loss of Elder Faerie, it brings comfort to both her little and big self to have him by her side as a constant carer. He is also surprisingly gentle with her while in that state, which she appreciates.
- [ ] She does not consider herself a caregiver, often finding herself unsure on how to interact with little ones and feeling awkward about it. Especially since she is more prone to regress (little lean).
- [ ] She is a pretty good babysitter, though, soft spoken and good at maintaining a routine so that the little one is well taken care of. Her awkwardness comes more when she has to play with them and she is big, as she is not the most energetic caregiver and hyperactive little ones might give her a bit of trouble. She can’t help but wonder if she is doing it right, constantly worrying with guilt.
- [ ] It is only when she starts caring for Silent Salt while he is small (he is a flip), that she begins to feel more comfortable with the caregiver aspect of agere. And in herself as a carer in general.

But I also wrote some extra headcanons because I realized I rarely wrote about each of the ancients interacting while little!
- [ ] After their awakening (since it was revealed that at least Hollyberry and Dark Cacao are able to fly in beast yeast episode 13), then she initially is the one who teaches them how to fly properly. And in times of peace, she loves flying around with them in the sky. Hollyberry in particular loves playing tag while they are both small and able to fly around.
- [ ] Since Golden Cheese prefers to wear simpler clothes while regressed, the ancients (specifically Pure Vanilla) can’t help but coo at the sight and be extra doting on her. It’s not their fault! Her look brings back nostalgic memories, so of course they are going to want to spoil her in affection!
- [ ] Not that Golden Cheese minds, she loves attention, though, it was a bit embarrassing the first time it happened since she was not expecting it.
- [ ] Her favorite moments, though, are when all of them are together sleeping in a pile. It is reminiscent of their times when they were younger and causes her to slip further into little space. She loves wrapping her new wings around each of them, too. It brings her comfort in having them physically there, considering she can suffer from separation anxiety while small, due to her trauma of losing her kingdom.

- [ ] Since Pure Vanilla often forgets to eat, the other ancients will give him snacks or cut his food into cute shapes to encourage him. If he is too small, they will often bottle feed him while holding him in their arms. Though, the bottles usually serve to make him a sleepy baby.
- [ ] Pure Vanilla is a very tactile baby, due to his poor sight. A little clingy, but calm. He prefers toys with sounds, things like bells or soft baby music immediately catches his attention while small.
- [ ] In very rare instances, Pure Vanilla would pet regress into a lamb before his awakening. Preferring to wear things like big wooly sweaters and soft outfits like that while in that space, and spending time with his sheep while on the grass outside.
- [ ] After his awakening, he regresses into a ram. And headbutts affectionately the others to catch their attention.
- [ ] He isn’t very verbal in either of those states, preferring actions and touch, to speak louder than words. He is aware of each of the Ancient’s boundaries regarding touch, so it is not a problem for him and he adjusts according to who he is with, more or less physically affectionate.

- [ ] As an outdoor baby, she loves exploring with the other ancients. It can be something as simple as a walk in the garden, it doesn’t matter if she has been there hundreds of times before, she will always grab the other’s hand and tug them along with a smile, pointing out each and every detail around them like if it were the first time seeing it all. This is particularly best with White Lily while she is small, since she is curious by nature and the two will babble to each other excitedly about whatever thing they can spot.
- [ ] She loves carrying each and every ancient when they are small and she isn’t. She’s a huge cuddle bug, especially with her friends. Pure Vanilla and Golden Cheese will be the most commonly found in her arms while they are small. White Lily preferring more to be led by the hand, or sat in her lap rather than carried. But yes, even Dark Cacao will get the same treatment. If he is too small to notice, he will simply sink into the embrace. But if he is still somewhat big, he will grumble in embarrassment which causes Holly to laugh (lightheartedly, of course).
- [ ] When they all sleep in a big pile, she is usually the one they all gather around to cuddle.
