Spones Reverse Big Bang

This is my contribution for the @sponesrbb 2020 challenge (please watch in larger size or on Pc for the details and less darkness), which is also the first time for me participating in such a project. This A2 size drawing, which I started in October with a shabby sketch at work, took me forever. It is far from perfect or physically correct, but I hope you can see the effort I put in, my love for my two bois and their love for each other. I wanted them to have a perfect date amidst a beautiful alien planet, no matter the circumstances.

Leonard reached for his hand. “May I?”

For a moment a doubtful look crossed Spock’s face, but he nodded and allowed Leonard to twine their fingers together. 

At one point, years and years ago, Spock had objected to this sort of meld. He was the Vulcan. He was the one in control of his emotions. What would it help to add Leonard’s generally chaotic emotions to the mix? But today, standing together in the kitchen, he let himself feel what Leonard was feeling.

Spock took a slow breath as he caressed the creases beneath Leonard’s eye. “You perplex me.”

“I thought you liked puzzles,”

“Not when the puzzle is how to keep you.”

Leonard blinked at him a moment. “Keep me?”

“Would you not wish to stay?”

“I—” but if Leonard knew what he was going to say, he immediately forgot it. He held his breath; The gardens became a blur; The word echoed in his ears: Stay.
