As always you are free to create anything that you would like for the event! Fic, art, edits, meta, anything you'd like to do in the way you want to do it! Wthe AO3 collection for the event will be linked below for you to add your works to as well.We will be tracking the tags #sponesday and #sponesday2026 so don't forget to tag your posts so we can reblog it onto here! Contributor submissions for the third volume of We Go Together, a Spones Zine are still open! The theme for this edition of the zine is Golden Years! Any and all writers, artists, and creators wishing to submit are welcome~

Hello everyone! We hope that you enjoyed our recent NSFW Mirrorverse zine! We're thrilled to announce our next SFW issue's theme is Golden Years! Huge thanks to everyone who submitted suggestions.

"Golden Years" can mean old age, retirement, all the things that come with growing older. However you'd like to interpret it, we're excited to see what everyone makes!

We will not be running a period of “applications” for the zine; instead, we offer a period of open submissions for anyone who wishes to participate.

In addition, we are also accepting applications for those wishing to choose our zine committee! Open positions include roles in production, graphic design, editor, cleaner, and curator. It’s time to prepare for the next SFW issue of the zine! But what shall the theme be this time around? Have one that you’d like to suggest to us? Well good news, we are now accepting theme suggestions! .

Once we have a good collection of ideas gathered up, the committee will select their favorites and whittle them down. If multiple people suggest a particular theme we’ll go with that! Please keep suggestions limited to ONE PER SUBMISSION. The winning theme will be announced on January 1st.

Okay, for those of you who haven't done Trektober before (in our SEVENTH YEAR, which even we can't believe), the rules are simple:

Each day of October has three prompts. One is a general plot prompt, one is a Star Trek-themed prompt, one is an NSFW prompt. You can pick any number of those prompts on each day, and create something for them. You can do as many days or as few as you like, whatever motivates you best!

If you'd like to keep to the rules and go for 100% completion, we allow three wildcards a month to just create whatever the heck you want on those days.

And if any of this doesn't work for you, it's totally fine to do something else! The important thing is, you're here, you're creating, and you're supporting your fellow creators.

The only non-negotiable rule is please tag appropriately! We do not place any restrictions on forms or nature of works produced, so we trust you all to know what's best, and to be kind to people while you do it.

Happy Spones Day, everyone! We've been hinting at a special announcement for weeks now, and we can finally share that our second NSFW theme is… Mirrorverse!

Introduced in the TOS episode Mirror, Mirror, the Mirrorverse is a twisted reflection of the regular TOS universe where everything is darker, crueler, and cold-hearted murder is the norm. Captain Kirk, Doctor McCoy, Scotty, and Lieutenant Uhura were sent to that universe where they encountered the Mirror Spock, and just barely returned home with their lives.

You're free to tackle the Mirrorverse in whatever way you like! We will release more information about submissions in the coming days, so be sure to stay tuned in to our page and/or join our Discord server to keep up with all the latest updates! In the meantime, you're free to begin brainstorming--submissions for this edition will close August 31st!

And now, a request: our committee needs help! We're searching for additional Production/Formatting, Illustration/Graphic Design, and Editors to assist our current team. Everything's ready for Domaystic 2025 :D
