Exactly. Social security has its own Trust with more that $3 trillion in it. SSA functions for all intents and purposes as a Mutual insurance company to provide retirement income for Americans. The SSA Trust belongs to all of us, not just retirees; we all pay into it from our first paychecks on. Republicans don't want you to know that b/c they like to pilfer it from time to time; that's how W paid for his wars. He robbed our retirement funds. He should have been impeached for that.
