What type of Bread are You?
Results: hiivaleipa
Your vibes: hand-woven baskets; honeycombs; misty clearings in the woods You're quiet and introspective. You're kind and wise. There is a slight chance you're a fae...
lordofevildreams:
Shigaraki was the type of person when he was out and about doing innocent things, if you left him alone, he’d leave you alone. Be nice to him, and he’ll be nice back. Though he usually avoiding interaction with other people, but at times he’d feel a pull to talk to other human beings. Sadly others tended to avoid him at all costs. Ever since he appeared on the news, fighting multiple heroes without his hand, many knew who he was if they watched or read the news. But only the heroes seemed to have the guts to approach him, whether a fight, or simple chit chat.
“So you have a quirk that can let you figure if a person is lying or not? Is it by choice, or is there no activation and you can’t help but see a lie or truth?” he asked. “I give off colors?” he echoed and tilted his head, slowing his pace down just a bit. The man scratched his cheek. “Is that a good thing… or a bad thing?”
“Regardless, glad you can treat me like a human being. I don’t ALWAYS like to be treated as a monster. As the heroes have now dubbed me as. I mean, it’s pretty cool. But it gets old, ya’know?” He liked that he striked fear into others. Even referred ti himself as a monster. But at times, it got repetitive. Sometimes he wanted to be treated as anyone else, just a human being.
Shigaraki briefly shook his head, “No, it sorta makes sense. So you aren’t planning anything. That’s good. And well technically I’m the one without the umbrella. You’re just letting me use yours for now,” he pointed out. “Also I can give you the money to buy a new umbrella, if you want. It’d be weird to just take yours and have you pay for a new one…”
Shinzui went a little flustered by the misunderstanding and waved her hands in front of her out of opposition. { “No, no, it’s nothing like that! My Quirk doesn’t have anything to do with what I see, it’s something else that I was born with. It’s a little hard to explain it, but I can basically see a cloud of colors a person gives off from their body. It’s called color synesthesia, which is usually when one of your senses perceives things in a way that your other senses do. For instance, some people can taste numbers, or hear colors... But, for some reason, mine is really different, because I can see the colors of a person’s emotions. It’s actually quite unheard of.” }
Realizing that she might’ve been rambling, she simply ruffled the hair on the back of her head with both hands in visible embarrassment, and just read the other talk. Part of her was relieved to know that it wasn’t like Shigaraki loved how people see him nothing more than a monstrous villain. He was human, too, and it showed right here, right now.
{ “If you really want to, then.. I’d appreciate that,” } she meekly replied. { “I guess having you keep mine makes no sense after all, since, well, we’re going to buy a new one with your money and all... I’ll pick it for you, though! Not all of them are good enough quality, anyways.” }
lordofevildreams:
“You have quite the mouthful of a name. I’ll call you Shinzui then, that’s short and sweet,” the man replied. He then shrugged about the umbrella. It was better than being soaking wet, well more than he already was. A hoodie that didn’t repel water didn’t do much for him. He wasn’t expecting a sudden downpour. Stupid news being wrong.
Shigaraki continued his walk then, making sure to keep it with her pace, not wanting to outrun her and leave her getting hit by the downpour. Making sure to keep the umbrella above both their heads.
“You’re a hero, right? That’s how you must know me. Why are you sticking around me and being nice? You’re not up to something, are you? If you are, I’ll get pretty pissed off…” He slowed down his walking so she could write. Then he thought of something, “Ya’ know, I know sign language. If that’s easier than writing everything out, you can just sign to me.” Him learning sign language when he was a mute child has come in handy multiple times. He thanked All For One for teaching it to him.
Shigaraki was... surprisingly nice. He matched her pace, and helped shelter her from the rain as he walked with her to get a new umbrella... Even if he was technically the most wanted villain in Japan, at the end of the day, he, too, was just another human being getting by when he wasn’t looking to cause trouble. Just as she was about to write again, she paused with a mixed look of surprise and intrigue. Thank goodness he knew sign language, it’s a whole lot easier than just writing messages in intervals on a whiteboard.
{ “It’s true, I’m technically an underground hero, except usually I’m just helping the police with interrogations to find out if a person is lying or not. I’m.. I’m not actually sure why I’m not doing what other heroes would probably normally do, but...” } She hummed pensively for a bit, then finally signed her response.
{ “..I think.. it’s because of the colors you give off. I’ve never seen anything like it. It made me drop any hero responsibilities that I should be upholding, not out of fear but.. just because of this feeling that there’s more to it, and that it’s better if I treat you like any other human being and just.. listened.” }
Her signing paused, as if in deep thought, for just a brief moment. { “I’m sorry, that probably didn’t make sense, did it? One thing’s for sure, though: other than giving you the umbrella, I didn’t really think anything else further on ahead.” } With her signing came a sort of awkward chuckle. { “I probably should’ve, though -- it didn’t come to mind the fact that I’d be the one without an umbrella after.” }

“?????” Shinzui’s confused by this person suddenly stopping her to.. advertise? Is this an advertisement? She’s struggling just to follow along via lip-reading. Eventually, although the other was still busy saying something, she’d written a message on her whiteboard.
[ “I’m sorry, but who are you again? Did you need something?” ]

Shigaraki grinned at her remark about people making a hassle about him. “Actually, you’re pretty wrong about that. See, most people either don’t know who I am without my hand, or they are too scared to make a hassle about me coming into stores. I do it quite often to buy food and other needs. No one really bothers me. Heroes don’t either because they know if they bothered me, the surrounding people would die,” Shigaraki explained. “But if you want to buy yourself an umbrella instead, I’m not stopping you.”
“But at least let’s share the umbrella while we head to the store, yeah? As for drying off at your place…. Sorry, but no. I don’t even know you, I don’t even know your name, and you’re offering that? For all I know it’s going to be a trap to capture me. Seeing as you seem to know who I am,” he pointed out. Shigaraki wasn’t keen on going to a stranger’s house to dry off. It was too weird for him.
Oh right. That’s true. Apparently, she’d completely forgotten who she was talking to.
[ “Sorry, I didn’t think of that when I considered offering... I never even gave my name, you make a good point. It’s Shinzuitentei Kinoko, but you can call me Shinzui for short. I hope you don’t mind sharing the umbrella, then.” ]
There was a very brief moment when Shinzui hesitated and her mind sort of scrambled up a bunch of sudden questions. Is he really okay with it? He won’t mind the fact I’ll be close? I’ve already given a bad impression, so will he be suspicious? Or uncomfortable? Do I smell of body odor, or no?
... She just forced her brain to be quiet, and politely excused herself before inching a bit closer to hide from the rain.

Shigaraki watched as she fidgetted with the white board on her shoulder. Still with the umbrella still held out, and her writing that it was okay, he gingerly took the umbrella in his hand, letting his pinkie point out. However, he still held it over her head too. To keep the rain off of her.
“I’m already soaked to the bone…. Though I know there’s a store still open a few blocks away. I can head there and get my own umbrella. If you’re insisting I use it. Why don’t we head to the store so I can get one of my own and then we’ll both have our own umbrellas,” he said and gestured ahead. “It’s that way…”
Oh. That was also an option, huh? Shinzui had a good feeling that him waltzing into the store wasn’t going to end without any note. If anything, it’d probably be better if she prevented any kind of ruckus from happening... Actually, she should be preventing any kind of ruckus from happening. If that’s the case, though, then could this technically count as hero’s work, then? Well, it’s as good of an excuse as any.
[ “I can buy one for myself. People will make it a hassle for you if you went instead.” ] So she waved a dismissive hand again, insistent that he can keep her umbrella, once she finished rewriting the message on her whiteboard.
[ “Rather than going anywhere else, though, do you want to dry off at my place? I doubt it’s anything comfortable walking around soaking wet.” ]
planetaryphenomenon:
“Yes, I’ll be certain to so!” Rena nods in agreement. “Actually, I was wondering if I can ask you something.”
She faced her new counselor as she had a hint of uncertainty in her eyes. Usually, she hides all her insecurities and doubts under her smile. Yet, this time she has something that crosses her mind, that bugged her for awhile.
“Do you believe it’s bad to become a hero for the sake of someone else?”
The moment Rena mentioned having a question, the counselor grew attentive with inquisitive eyes. Part of her wondered if the student was alright asking right out in the open here in the hallway, but she quickly dismissed it, assuming that Rena would’ve asked to go to the office first.
She let the question simmer in her mind, tapping the unopened end of her marker to her bottom lip in deep thought. Realizing that there’s no simple way to answer, she capped her marker, then brought out her smartphone. Her thumbs flew about the screen as she typed what she had to say. Soon enough, Shinzui handed over her phone, and waited with a smile.
[ “I don’t think it’s a bad thing to want to become something for another person’s sake, at least to a healthy degree. Funny enough, wanting to give yourself up for something greater than oneself is one of the fundamental values in being a hero. This way of thinking is just.. different, so to speak, because it all depends on how you go about with it.” ] [ “What you do and think of it from there might determine whether it’s ‘good’ or ‘bad’, but this decision is the ‘starting point’ of something that’s for the better, is it not? Something stirred you into wanting to make a change, and that thinking became your drive in being the best hero you can be, be it for a specific someone, a value, an image, or even yourself.” ] [ “I guess depending on how you see it, it might seem a little selfish, but then again, there’s nothing wrong with selfishness, either. You could even say that all heroes started with just a little bit of selfishness. That’s just being human, which is what we all are.” ]
[ “Think of it like this: You’re wondering if this is a bad thing, but that’s because you wish to do what’s the good thing instead. That alone is enough to speak in volumes, so, at the very least, let it help guide you so that you can move forward without any regret.” ]

Shigaraki decided to head out for a little bit. He wasn’t expecting rain, yet he was caught in a down pour of it. He did see if there was any of those umbrellas people had laying near stores for use, but nothing. He was in a bad mood now. His shoulders hunched he headed his way home.
He saw a girl coming his way. He expected to merely pass by her. But instead she stopped and held out her umbrella over his head. Shigaraki stopped too, giving her a long stare. “How thoughtful of you…” he commented. “I’m already soaked though… so.. you should keep it for yourself..”
Shinzui blinked in a response while her mind was busy processing what she lip-read. Interestingly enough, Shigaraki wasn’t showing any signs of hostility towards her specifically, and that alone was putting off her need to consider her priorities as a pro hero. Just this once, she’d rather interact as human beings, so he remains as one in her eyes in the meantime.
She reached into her little hip pouch full of whiteboard markers before fidgeting with the whiteboard slung over the shoulder and getting it to face forward. Shinzui couldn’t write out a proper response on her whiteboard, not when her dominant hand was still insistent on holding the umbrella. A sloppy handwriting, but she managed to answer.
[ “It’S oKay! PLEaSe, sTay wARm?” ]
WHAT’S YOUR PLANT PERSONALITY?
Echinacea
A protector. With an amazing blend of optimism, nurturing and goodwill, you lend your strength and energy to those in need. Your seemingly infinite goodwill and boundless supportive energy make you the one people turn to when times are tough. Your greatest strength is, of course, also one of your weaknesses, especially if you neglect to take care of yourself. At times like these, it’s a good idea to take a step back and focus some of that protective energy on yourself.
Passionflower
Deeply concerned about others and the world around you, you have a developed sense of what’s right and just. You’re a bit of an idealist and strive to see your vision of perfection realized in the world. On occasion you get out of balance, and you may feel a deep sense of unease and be prone to worry—especially at night, tossing and turning over all that is wrong or that needs fixing.
Peppermint
Unflappable. You are cool in the crisis, calm in the storm, collected amongst the chaos. You’re a breath of fresh air, a waft of inspiration to the down-and-out, a refreshing, inspiring, uplifting person to be around. Of course, even a cool cucumber like yourself can run into trouble. You may try to take on too much, which can leave you feeling weighed down and not quite yourself.

Such dark, twisting colors. It almost looked suffocating being inside that kind of aura. She was an underground hero, and she knows what she should do, and yet... Even if he was a villain, and a very dangerous one at that, Shinzuitentei couldn’t help but sympathize with him first.
She held out her umbrella to shield him from the rain. Now what could the most highly sought-after villain be doing out here?
Shinzuitentei is out and about to take a look on how the students are doing during their training. Even when they’re busy with combat, she can tell how their mentality is faring.
planetaryphenomenon:
“It’s fine, Shinzuitentei-san!” Rena beams brightly. “Welcome to U.A. I’m glad to see that we do have other staff to help us out!”
Daunbe blues would glimmer with the usual starry-like gaze. Her smile filled with the tenderness of a sunny day. She was enthused to meet more people at the school. Especially, someone, she can talk to other than just school work.
[ “Thank you, I’ll do my best to help with anything you need! If you ever need to find me, you can find my office just a couple of rooms left to the teacher’s lounge. It’s separate from the others for confidentiality’s sake.” ]
Shinzuitentei can see it, the colors of genuine enthusiasm in Rena’s aura. A prominent, optimistic yellow, with hints of positive oranges and greens. Reassuring colors. Kinoko could only hope she could help keep that kind of aura going long after Rena leaves UA.
[ “A hero’s mental health is just as important as their physical well-being, so please, even if it’s just to vent, don’t hesitate to come see me.” ]

planetaryphenomenon:
“Yes, that’s right!” She beams. “It’s nice to meet you too, Miss…”
She pauses briefly since she wanted to know her name. A new school counselor. She was glad this one was easy to talk to. Not that she had any issues with their other one, but it was hard to understand unless translated by someone else.
There’s a brief pause, along with a hot second of confusion on the councilor’s face. She waited a little in case she had to lip-read more, but then realized that Kuromoto just stopped because she didn’t know her name. Embarrassed, she hastily scribbled more onto her whiteboard.
[ “I forgot my name! I’m Shinzuitentei Kinoko. Sorry, that wasn’t very professional of me, was it? I’m still getting used to things around here in my new position.” ]
silver-strings-of-fate:
“Hmmm…”
Yayoi looked at the paper. This actually looked a lot like some of the homework Akira himself would give out.
“I think this one applies here. Do you think that’s right?”
The councilor followed the trail of Yayoi’s finger, frequently looking up to lip-read when she could. Once she connected the dots, she brought the paper up to her face, as if staring at it hard enough would fill the answers in, before expressing a radiant smile.
[ “This makes much more sense, thank you!” ] Kinoko passed her gratitude to Yayoi through her whiteboard as she scribbled the answers on a sticky note and pasted it on the paper. Storing her studying material back into the bag, she added onto her message with curious eyes.
[ “Are you interested in Psychology, too? It’s a little interesting to see heroes look it, like your father. I guess future heroes are being prepared for a lot of things now.” ]
