Spike shrugged, "There are already plenty of things in this world to be frightened of. The supernatural is just too much for their brains to handle."
He nodded at Margo, "Look at you freaking out about it."
Margo sighed, "Yeah, your right about that. I just thought that maybe spreading the word might give people a heads up on what's happening. I didn't realize that by doing that it could also spread panic or chaos." She came to the conclusion in her reply.
Looking over at spike with an eye roll. "Don't tease me, I'm human so I can't help but to be dramatic about some things."

He glanced up and gave a nod at her remarks, "I never really listened to anyone who told me whut to do anyway."
"Besides, I've already died a few times already," he gave a divisive snort. "Whut can I say? I'm a rebel."

I mean no offense but if it means your not able to kill, especially innocent people again then I call that a win. As for work..what actually do you do to get by? Do you like..hustle?"
Her face winced at the mention of animal blood. "Let me guess, over hundred? Can't imagine what that must be like for you."
Margo returns his gaze, giving him a stunned look. "I see, yet it's one thing for regular creatures or monsters to show in this town. It's just..gods and goddess are like next level. I mean this information is huge. This could mean the start of an apocalypse."
"No, I just told you. I use the slayer and her friends for room and board," he repeated doggedly.
Spike shigged, "We get an almost apocalypse at least once a year. Though God's are a new one."

Buffy furrowed her brow. Was he saying that he needed space from her or that he wanted to take there relationship further? Did he really confine himself to her room? He thought he wanted her to hold her at night because she needed it?
"We can," Buffy said slowly. "But, I think you've misunderstood a few things. You're allowed to have a life outside of me. In fact, you should have a life outside of me. You wanna go cheat at kitten poker with Clem, go for it. You wanna go to San Francisco for a couple of days, go for it. You know? I won't be offended. You're not confined to this room. I just thought that...I thought that us sharing a bedroom....and bathroom would be a good first step. I'm sorry if I didn't explain it well."
"i just thought you wanted one on one time, all the time..." he didn't want to bring up Drusilla. He knew Buffy hated being compared to her, but the both of them had a natural rhythm. He knew when he was needed and when it was safe to hunt and disappear. Buffy was different and far more independent, but she didn't exactly come out and ask when she needed something. When she did, it was when she had been suffering for too long.

She blew out a sigh, eyes closed with a head tilt before looking up at him. There was a defeated emotion shown through his features. "Dammit, I guess there's no way to make this happen then, I should just sit by and watch the madness unfold without trying to help. I feel so useless. Btw, I wasn't trying to push away your help. I'm greatful that you tried giving who you are. Even when you get on my nerves you are the one vamp I could bare to tolerate and be around."

"I did take self defense classes, some of which has helped but other times I'm not as stealthy as I would like to be. Yes I can take care of myself but also know what my weakness are." She answered. It felt silly to even admit this to him but she couldn't no longer fool herself. When it came to sunnydale, dealing with all types of monsters she needed to upgrade her defense.
"I've seen you fight spike. You are very good and although your a vampire which helps with your added strength, I'm gonna need to better prepare myself and I just thought why not ask you. That is if your interested."
"Fine, I can teach you a combination Akido and Krav Maga... It should keep you alive long enough to get away if you need to," Spike said with a shrug.
"I mean if Xander's not dead you can you've already got basic self defense down, you'll do better than him."
