OP: How to fold a flying pig. (cr简开JK)
(The name flying pig/feizhu飞猪 is inspired by Nezha’s mount the Wind-Fire Wheels. In the animated film, the Wind-Fire Wheels normally take the form of a flying pig.)
Kid me (who was OBSESSED with paper airplanes and kites) would have lost their god damn mind over this
the late senator graham and i disagreed on pretty much everything, but credit where it’s due. this quote of his is an all-timer:
it’s arguably the most honest thing that anyone has said in politics.
the idea that anybody understands or controls the horrible machine that we as a species have trapped ourselves inside of has always been a comforting myth
hobbits were the peak of civilization in tolkien verse. jobs were Gardening, Stall At The Farmer’s Market, or Mailman. Shoes OFF, capris ON, 6 meals a day, high and fat as all shit. Names like Daddy Twofoot….why the fuck are we horny for elves

Ah yes, the minority of, lemme see here, about 99% of the human population. Very minority. Very small group that collection of everyone but transmisogynized individuals.
"kill all tmes" means "kill everyone who isn't a trans woman" btw. its the exact same exaggerative hyperbolic statement said by heavily frustrated minorities, similar to "kill all men" and "kill all whites". if you're actually offended by those statements, youre exactly the person the statement is directed at. its not a serious threat, its a complaint about how you treat us. we'll stop saying "kill all tmes" when you stop actually killing us, and not a moment sooner.
excuse me ma'am but I met your "evil alter" last night and I regret to inform you she's just a tsundere with moral ocd. no, it's ok, I can still call her evil if that's what she's into. yeah, I don't mind acting kinda scared of her during sex. I just wanted to let you know she's chill. yeah, and her paws are cute I thought so too.
When 1780 babies in Cuba die due to the measurably heightened effects of the blockade on the medical system, you must understand this as the United States murdering 1780 Cuban babies. Despite having one of the world's most advanced medical systems, and the highest doctors per capita compared to any other country (over 2.5x that of the United States) 10s of 1000s of people are unable to access medical treatment in Cuba because of the strangulation of the Cuban healthcare system. The defense of Cuba is a litmus test for socialists, you must condemn Imperialism, not the revolution, the blockade is an act of genocide
In her first video interview from Johnson County Jail, Hill says she is a “political prisoner” who has been unjustly locked up by the Trump
Hope it's okay to share some quotes from the transcription of this interview:
SM: Why would they do that as a favor to the president, do you think? Why do you think Trump would see that as an assist for him? AH: Because the president, you know, tweeted directly about us. Our case is the first case in United States history where any defendant has been successfully tried and convicted as part of a, like, an antifa-related thing, right? The Justice Department said, “This is the first time we have put antifa behind bars,” basically. But not in those exact words, right? But this is a part of the president’s agenda, you know, to create this narrative of left-wing terrorism, you know, basically in order to be able to prosecute political dissent against him. So I think that, like, if the Fifth Circuit were to overturn this case, which is the first of hundreds, right? The Justice Department has tried to go after, you know, people from Stop Cop City, you know, people from Minnesota and the George Floyd rebellions, and say like, “These people are antifa,” and hundreds of such cases have been shut down. Ours is the first such case to have made it all the way to conviction and sentencing, and that’s because of the fact that they were able to get such a conservative judge, such a conservative prosecutor, and have it tried in such a conservative district, right? In other jurisdictions, this would have been thrown out as a matter of law, but it’s thanks to the fixing of Mark Pittman and the pressure that the prosecutor Sean Smith’s superiors put on him to take this case all the way to trial, that that is what happened and I am here today.
And:
SM: What has this been like for you from a mental perspective? How has it affected your state of mind? Like I can’t imagine this has been easy, and through this interview to me, you’ve come across as kind of chill. AH: You know, I’m a pretty spiritual person, pretty philosophical person. When I am in a situation where no action is likely to lead to an acceptable outcome, I take no action. And to a certain extent, I do not believe in 50 years. I don’t. Maybe I’m in denial but I still kind of don’t believe that I’m actually going to serve out this whole sentence and I think there’s a little reason for optimism in that regard. There is a big movement of support for a political pardon for us from the next Democratic president of the United States. My mother told me that my father said that the next time a Democratic president is in office, he’s going to write him a letter to ask for a pardon for me. And that was the first positive interaction that I’ve had with my dad in five years. And when I heard that, I just burst into tears and, like, just became hysterical for five minutes because it was just the perfection of the absurdity of the time to me. My arch-conservative father, who I can’t really stand to be in the same room as right now because of his transphobia, that he would do this thing, right, like appeal to a Democratic president on my behalf. And it really shows this bipartisan sentiment that this is obviously unjust, this is obviously political. You know, if this arch-conservative and I can find common ground over the belief that this is a political persecution, I think that there’s a very strong chance for some future good thing to come our way out of that.
And:
SM: Is there anything else I didn’t ask you that you want to get out, that you wanna say in this context? Obviously, people will see this and I know you have limited connection to the outside world. AH: I would say the same thing that I’ve said before, which is: Be brave. We’ve been accused of being terrorists, but terror is the power that this administration wants to ply in order to keep people quiet, in order to keep people content. Fear of incarceration, fear of homelessness, you know, it’s this fear, this fear that we’re going to lose our privileges, that we are going to use our comfort, that keeps people docile, keeps people from speaking the truth. Don’t be afraid.

They say women hold up half the sky but it's more like women hold up 90% of the sky because the men never do any work and they mostly just stand around making sure you're still holding it up so they can take half the credit and they sexually harass you because you can't really go anywhere and you ask them if they wouldn't mind taking over for a bit because you're pretty tired and they're like "no?" and you go "well it seems kinda unfair that we're holding up 90% of the sky" and they go "we literally die in wars though" and you go "so do we" and they go "that doesn't count" and you ask "why not?" and they call you a bitch and go "I was literally trying to be nice to you too!" and then leave and you're still there holding up 90% of the sky and they're off talking about how feminism has gone too far on a podcast or something and it somehow does not change one bit if both of these demographics are trans except the men will start listing even more things that also impact women as if they're unique oppressions faced by men.

the idea that predators and abusers are an ontological category of person, rather than everyone having the capacity to be predatory and abusive, leads to people having no regard for boundaries because they think that predation only comes from evil people ™
Super cool how nearly every institution meant to help people has demonstrably gotten worse at doing so.
Things are being intentionally broken so the argument can be made to get rid of these institutions entirely (or privatize them).
Institutions are also being badmouthed and portrayed unfairly. You see this a lot with U.S. public education. Conservatives are constantly talking about every school being "failing" when 99% of the time, all that they mean is that the test scores are low in districts that have a high portion of special needs kids, kids from low socioeconomic status, and/or ESL kids, all of which are factors that result in lower test scores.
I went to a school district that was always characterized this way. It had a high dropout rate, high teen pregnancy rate, and poor performance on standardized tests.
It also was an excellent school with excellent teachers and extracurricular activities. It offered every AP course there was, and I took 8 of them and got 4's or 5's on most of them. It looked bad on paper because it took kids who from poverty, broken families, and plenty who just didn't speak English natively. It was a great place and my experience there was priceless.
It pains me to no end to see so much of the media and also actual everyday people trash-talking not only my school district, but similar school districts across the country, including ones that I have friends working in where the friends tell me what is going on from the inside and really, the only problem in the districts is that they don't have enough money, often because conservatives push charter school systems that draw funding out of them.
It's the same with blowing allegations of "fraud and abuse" out of proportion for types of benefits where fraud and abuse is low, and ignoring other types of government spending (like defense contracting or highway spending) where fraud and abuse is rampant.

you can’t even punch a nazi in the face here in anglosphere because then every wannabe journalist starts whipping out their phone cameras going “nauuurrrr!!! :( you can’t do that!!! :( :(“
afterwards you could be considered a town hero across the entire nation but then your employer goes “you punched my second nephew’s best friend’s dog’s son :( ” & blacklists you into extreme poverty.
that protester who roundhouse kicked that terf’s phone out of her hand should be given the keys to every city. there should be statues of them all over the continent.
